Received a cut and all-​over color from Lara, and I couldn’t be happier! The whole team is funny and charming, and the salon is beautiful. The paintings on the wall are inspired. The staff really made me feel like one of the family. I would definitely recommend this salon. They are planning to expand into more services, and if their current standards of service are any indication, they will be wildly successful.

There are two best parts to going to Salon D. You are going to love what they do to the style and color of your hair. And then you will appreciate the graciousness and friendliness these professional women promote and maintain in this environment.
My hair was styled and colored by Lara, who readily used Dianna’s input. The lowlights and cut were new for me, and I was surprised at what a difference this new style made.
Everyone talks to each other, like folks warmly getting together, rather than attending solo appointments.
After two visits I returned to Brooklyn, very happy I had gotten to experience this place. I get to return to NOLA for several months next time, and for sure I will make a bee line to Salon D.

Lara is amazing. I called for a last minute curl and Lara took me in immediately. I feel extremely lucky. I used Unilocal to look up hair salons nearby Latitude 29 and came across the great reviews. Always a good sign. The place is cozy, relaxing and friendly. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the FQ for any occasion.

Ok… I’m one of «those girls» who usually HATES salons! But this family run, local, cozy salon changed my mind. Its like «hanging with the girls» the whole time you’re there. The staff and owner are so friendly, down to earth, and exceptionally talented. I have that difficult, frizzy, nightmare hair and they were easily able to make me look and feel like a princess. I still can’t stop smiling when I think about how wonderful my experience there was. (And my husband LOVES my new haircut almost more than I do! Huge plus)

Dianna gave me an updo for a wedding. I showed her a couple of pictures of what I had in mind and she did a superb job at recreating it. My hair stayed in place all day. I got a lot of compliments too. She was wonderful to work with.

One of the best haircuts I have ever had. Was in town for a conference and desperately needed a haircut. Went to Dianna who is wonderful and does an excellent job, better than my high end salon in Chicago. It takes a bit long, but worth it!

Dianna is amazing. I made an appointment for her to come to my hotel room and do bridal hair and makeup and she did an incredible job. Besides being just a genuinely nice and relaxed person to be around, my hair and makeup were perfect and held up all night in the New Orleans humidity. I couldn’t believe it, because my hair generally does not hold a curl, but my lovely waves stayed in place and gorgeous for hours as we hustled around the Quarter with our photographer. I was at ease from start to finish, and so pleased when I saw the first few photos. I asked for fresh, simple makeup and wavy curls and Dianna knew exactly what I meant and delivered. Highly recommend.

If you have frizzy hair and would like to try a keratin treatment, I would highly recommend going to Dianna, the owner of Salon D. The keratin treatment she uses lasts much longer than others. No frizz, shiny sleek hair for 5+ months. Great salon, wonderful owner!

This review is for a pedicure. The people who work here are indeed very kind and accommodating. Please note, however, that a pedicure here involves a small selection of colors from which to choose, being seated in a swivel chair in the waiting area, and having your feet placed in an aged foot bath that is portable and is plugged into the wall. I’m not sure whether the utensils used were sterile (they did not come out of those «sterile bags» and appeared to be old and even a bit rusty), but it wouldn’t be fair for me to say so for sure.
All in all, if you’re looking for a relaxed pedicure experience, Salon D NOLA might not be the best bet.

Dianna is a life saver! We came to NOLA for a wedding and unfortunately ended up at a different salon before coming to Salon D. After the bride, her sister, and her mother came out looking like clowns and hair falling out (5 min after the do was done), we were in need of a miracle. We called Salon D and Dianna was able to help us immediately! The ladies at salon D were so accommodating and sweet. They gave us a much needed glass of wine and saved the bride! Merci beaucoup Salon D NOLA!

First visit ever to New Orleans to attend a friend’s wedding, got a same day appointment for an updo. Loved how the stylist worked with me and my hair to create a distinctive and beautiful look! I received many compliments throughout the night. The owner and staff of the Salon D NOLA were all wonderful. I would definitely go back!

I’ve had a pixie cut for a little over two years now and a long streak of bad haircuts ever since I moved back from New York. Maybe my hair is just weird, but I couldn’t seem to find anyone that could get it right. Until now. Lara did an excellent job. Her attention to detail was really impressive. Best haircut I’ve had in a long time. A little more than I would usually pay for a haircut but well worth it. Cute little salon too. Relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be back for future haircuts and maybe even some pedicures.

I could NOT have found a better place to have a pedicure (of which, I was in dire need). The owner Dianna is a real sweetheart and I was able to book my pedicure for a late afternoon session with no problem. The Salon is clean (I’m a germa-​phobe and HATE the filthy Nail Salon that seem to be everywhere) and bright. My pedicurist was a real doll and she did a classic pedicure without the need for a weird vibrating chair or all the up-​charged rates.
I really loved this place and my experience and could not ask for more. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Salon D is new to Burgundy but not new to New Orleans. The salon is with walking distance from anywhere you are in the Quarter; close enough, yet just off the main streets to have a nice relaxing time getting your hair and/​or nails done. Meredith is my stylist and she is wonderful! All the stylists are great at what they do!
