So this was my wife’s and mine first food truck experience. We had the chicken tacos and the loaded nachos. They both where so good we where lovingly fight over which one we each where going to each, so we shared! We drove three hours to New Orleans so you know it was awesome!!!

The burrito bowl was so good– I wasn’t able to take a photo before scarfing the whole thing! My coworker and I plotted to make the medium-ish walk to the truck for over a month. I’m so happy today that we finally made the journey! They were sitting on the Superdome side of Tulane Ave apart from the other 5+ trucks sitting on the Tulane Hospital side. The food was put together fast and well worth the $ 7. I seriously don’t usually eat talapia, but the fish was fresh and well seasoned. It matched the rice, cabbage, beans, and salsa making up the rest of the bowl’s ingredients. On top of that, the service was awesome and they were very sweet! The hype for this food truck is well deserved! I am totally going to try to make the walk over soon.

Visiting Nola and this happens to come up on Unilocal when we’re searching of places to eat. A food truck? Are we really going to eat at a food truck while down here. Hell yeah we are. It helped that it was literally down the street from our Air Bnb. We decided to try it for lunch on our last day there and it was solid for the value. Cheap food that tasted great. I got the chicken nachos and they were very filling as were everyone else’s meals. If you want a cheap solid meal and if you’re within walking distance I’d highly recommend. Otherwise there are too many great restaurants in Nola to come all the way here away from Royal street and that area. The locals eat here for lunch especially the people who work at the hospital across the street.

Definitely worth the 5⁄5 stars. Ridiculously good and, in my Southern Californian opinion, some of the only decent Mexican food in New Orleans. Service is extremely fast and are very sweet. They had just opened and we had to wait a couple minutes for our tortillas to warm up, but they kept thanking us for being patient and even remade our nachos so they would be hot and fresh once the tortillas were done for the tacos.

Believe the hype! You won’t find a better burrito than what the fine folks at Rollin Fatties are dishing up out of the back of their little food truck. Rollin Fatties keeps things simple, but they do it exceptionally well. You can get a burrito, burrito bowl, nachos, or tacos — and everything is superb. My personal favorite is the«chicken fattie» — a 12 inch burrito stuffed with tender chicken, beans, and their glorious red cabbage slaw. It may not be a «traditional» Mexican burrito but it hits all the right notes — meaty, flavorful, with a nice bit of sweetness and crunch from the slaw. It is absolutely phenomenal and perfect in every way — it is without a doubt the best burrito I have ever had anywhere. The service is excellent — they do everything out of their food truck so be sure to follow their Twitter account to keep up with where they’re at(usually I find them outside of Tulane Med Center for lunch, Monday-Friday). There’s usually a line but it always moves quickly, and the Rollin Fatties crew are exceptionally efficient and friendly. You can really tell they love what they’re doing and love their food truck, and it shows in the food quality! Aside from the phenomenal food and fantastic service, the reason why I gave Rollin Fatties a 5⁄5 is for the pure value — for just $ 7, you can get the best burrito you’ll ever have in your life! Amazing bargain. OVERALL: 5⁄5. Amazing food, friendly and efficient service, and excellent value — in my opinion these guys are the best food truck in NOLA! I just wish they had a standalone restaurant now because I would probably go every day!

Hell yes they get 5 stars. At this food truck they make it like YOU want it… and it’s far far from Burger King. Quick service of great, healthy eats. I get the Fattie Bowl, double jerk chicken, no rice double black beans and light cheese. They make it perfect every time. Rock Star Status guys.

I tried the tacos at Gretna Fest and they were amazing(yes that was 6 months ago and yes I’m just now leaving a review stop judging me lol) I didn’t realize they were on Unilocal until I came across them after leaving a review for a different business… Anyways I had the chicken tacos and they were amazing… I put two types of hot sauce on them bc I prefer my food pretty spicy… Over al I can say it was the best tacos I’ve had in a while

Had a burrito the other day. It was giant, filling, and went down easy. But I can’t say it was great, and it definitely was not a Mexican burrito. California-style(think Chipotle) with rice. I would eat it again, if I needed a ton of food, but I wouldn’t seek it out if I was trying to impress someone.

Delicious, friendly, fast, and cheap! Rollin’ Fatties is my go to lunch option for these reasons. Even when there is a line 10 – 20 people deep, I know that I will be in and out faster than at most of the other food trucks on Tulane. Don’t let the line deter you from trying this place! The food is outstanding. I usually go with the chicken fattie or bowl. The meat is cooked perfectly and the slaw gives it that something special. The staff is always super friendly and the proportions are certainly worth $ 7. If you are ever in the Tulane area for lunch or see them at an event, definitely stop and try one of New Orleans best food trucks!

You know when you’re having a bad day and you finally get home and you’re starving, hating everyone, and you take that first bite of food and suddenly everything’s ok? Well I was having a perfectly good day and Rollin Fatties still gave me that magical feeling. OHMYGOD. Let me tell you about this burrito. 12 inches of melt in your mouth pulled chicken, black beans, basmati rice, tangy red cabbage slaw, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle cream. «Where’s the guac?» you ask. YOUDON’T NEEDIT. Stop paying extra for guac and a 10 dollar burrito that falls apart on the first bite when you can take a bite out of heaven for only $ 7. The only qualm I have with Rollin Fatties is that the rest of my day just couldn’t compare to those 15 minutes I spent eating outside the Tulane Med Center… #FattyFriday

I’ve been meaning to show Rollin Fatties some love for a while now. I’ve seen them at a lot of New Orleans Festivals and they sometimes park near Tulane Medical School. Their Twitter says the hours are 10AM-2PM on Tulane Ave Mon-Fri. They serve burritos, tacos, and other items but I’ve never had the chance to order them because the Loaded Nachos is all I ever need. What makes it so great? The chips are a thicker chip and makes it easy to scoop up the loads of meat, cheese, and whatever other goodness is in this heavenly concoction. If you happen to come across this local gem, you’ve got to order the Loaded Nachos. It’s filling and loaded with top notch ingredients!

Yall I’m not even ashamed to admit it… I took off of work just to eat Rollin Fatties!!! Yep, sure did! Needed to start my birthday week off right and I knew the only way how was to go here ASAP. And a bummer that they are only open 11 – 2 on weekdays. Well let me just say I was not disappointed. Explosion of goodness is the understatement of the year. The heavens opened up and the Gastronomy gods spoke up and said YOUMUSTTRYTHISFOODTRUCK. I tried the chicken fattie which is a 12in stuffed burrito with rice, beans, chicken, red cabbage and other yumminess. But like filled to the max. This $ 7 burrito will have you full till next week! If you think I stopped there then you are mistaken… I definitely had to get those nachos in my life and have to say that these are my favorite! Huge bowl full of thick, crispy, homemade tortilla chips covered in beans, rice, special sauce and chicken. And… I didn’t stop there… calm down I had someone else taste testing everything with me… I tried the 2 taco special. You can pick your protein, either fish, chicken or tofu. I tried one fish and one chicken and have to say the fish didn’t really get me, although my hubs loved it! I feel like you need to run, not walk to this food truck on Tulane. I drove here and had my husband just circle the block and pick me back up. There is street parking near by so don’t panic if you don’t have a chauffeur. It took me all of 10 min to order and get a bag full of food so just have your über driver wait for you! You can pay with cash or card Thank you Rollin Fatties for being so much more than just a food truck!

They park outside of the Tulane hospital. Tried them one time, the chicken platter was great. The sauce on top was tasty. Worth checking out.

Oh my gosh, YUM. I’m sad to say I walked by this place several times before finally stopping for two reasons: 1) the name is kind of dumb and seems better suited to a rolling marijuana dispensary, and 2) the filling options are basically what you’d see on a wedding RSVP: chicken, fish, or veg. — and the veg. option is tofu(yuck). Once I finally tried the food, though… well, I really don’t care what they call it, as long as it stays this awesome. I usually don’t like tofu, and of course get told all the time, «You just have to have it cooked right.» Well, I’ve tried it baked, fried, steamed, snapped, crackled, and popped, and have never enjoyed it. Until the barbecue tofu here. I don’t know what they’re doing to this stuff, but they have managed to make tofu not only palatable but actually something I crave. The burrito(which I am always embarrassed to call«the fattie» when ordering) is my go to, but I also enjoy the tacos. I’ve had their side of chips and pico too, which was good — the tortilla chips are homemade — but not good enough to steer me away from my dear, wonderful, generously stuffed burrito. Whenever I get one, I have to remind myself how much happier I will be if I stop eating halfway through so I can have the rest for dinner. Note for vegetarians: I was totally freaked out by the yellow rice the first time I ordered here, since it’s often made with chicken stock, but have gotten assurances from the nice lady in the truck that the rice and beans are all vegetarian.

What child of the 70’s could resist a food truck called Rollin’ Fatties? The best business name ever and a page full of 5-star reviews convinced me that I should brave hospital lunch hour traffic and check it out. They were out of fish, so I had to settle for a chicken fattie bowl, but it wasn’t really settling; it was delicious! The seasoning they use is completely different from traditional Mexican, and I LOVED the red cabbage slaw or whatever it was. The beans are also several cuts above what you get at most places. I think I paid $ 8 at the most, and had to throw in the towel about ¾ of the way through. The person ahead of me ordered the nachos, and they looked amazing too. The service is fast and friendly, and the girl who served me was incredibly sweet. Awesome, awesome lunch, so Rollin’ Fatties can just roll on up to KC any time they want!

This place was mmmmm good. I got a fattie with chicken. The chicken was nice and spicy and I loved both the salsa and the unique flavor of the sour cream they used. One of the things that set this burrito apart from others was the rice and beans. The rice was seasoned much differently, not really traditional Mexican, but still absolutely delicious. The same can be said for the beans. The whole thing was constructed perfectly and was perfect for chowing down while walking around the CBD. Also a great value, especially when you consider the area. The guys working in the truck were really friendly. Definitely worth the drive(and hunt for a parking spot) over to Tulane Med.

Parked outside of Tulane med center(1430 Tulane) during weekdays for lunch. I finally had a reason to be in that area one Friday so I jumped at the opportunity to try a Rollin Fattie once and for all. They offer a menu of either a Rollin Fattie(burrito), Fattie bowl, tacos, and loaded nachos. All of which comes with your choice of chicken, fish or tofu. I opted to try their namesake, the Rollin Fattie with chicken. The 12″ flour tortilla came piping hot filled with shredded chicken, seasoned rice and black beans, cheese, pico, pickled onion slaw, and chipotle cream. It was delicious! Sometimes you get burritos and all of the good stuff is on one side or it has too much rice, but this was not the case! It was well balanced and had more than enough chicken making it a very filling $ 7 lunch. I recommend to not sub anything out, just get it how it comes because they know what they are doing! The Loaded Nachos with chicken — These house made chips aren’t your average tortilla chips. They are thicker than average making it a great sturdy chip, which is needed because they really do pile on all the toppings. This is a meal in itself or fun to share with a group. The Tacos come 2 for $ 6 and you can choose your protein for each taco. We picked one chicken and one fish. I had a bite of the fish and unfortunately that was the only thing I didn’t care for. It had a strong fishy taste that didn’t sit right with me. I’m glad I got to try it, but would stick to the chicken from now on since that was the all-star protein in my opinion. They had a constant line of people the entire time we were there, but for a small truck they fit a lot of people inside so the wait time was less than 10 minutes. The girl taking our order was really sweet. In case you are wondering, they do take credit cards.
