This is a restaurant in the Westin Hotel. And I would agree with anyone who would prefer to venture out into the Quarter to seek out food and booze. My wife and I used the restaurant twice on this New Orleans vacation. No need to go into the reason and we were happy. The food is good and the service was even better. Bonita, Dedra, and Bernard made sure we were served properly and our glasses remained full. Whether that was with water or the good stuff. The food is on the high side but the portions are large. If you just don’t wish to go out and need something to eat that will satisfy you River 127 is acceptable.

I really did not want to eat in my hotel«WestIn» when the good joints were right across the street. That’s like having bud light in Germany. We got a free lunch coupon which was actually meant for the people who checked out before we checked in. They apparently were not satisfied with their stay so the hotel delivered some really nice chocolates and free lunch coupons but guess what, they delivered it after we checked in. Me being a nice guy that I am told the guys at westin that the freebies were not meant for me but they insisted I keep it and I am not gonna say NO, am I? Anyways, it is Continental creole cajun and americana food, the view from the restaurant is great and food is average and a lot more expensive than the cafes on French quarter. If you get free coupons, eat here else get the hell out.

I tried the soft-shell-crab poboy here and it was good and way too big to finish. The service was a little slow, but the food was good and the group of people I was here with(6 total) all seemed to have a good time. This place is conveniently located within the Westin.

Slow, inattentive service. Even a po’ boy on a half-full restaurant took 30 mins. Trying to get the attention of the waiter to pay took 30 min, too. At least the food was ok.
