Revive the Lakeview Hair Salon

I am shocked at how rude this place is! When I arrived to get my hair colored, I was told that my stylist wouldn’t be able to do my hair until 40 minutes after my scheduled time. What? Firstly, that’s not ok — I had gotten a babysitter and planned my day around this appointment. Secondly, WHY didn’t they call me so that I could rearrange things?! I had to leave without getting my hair done. Huge bummer.

I love, love, love this place! I get my hair done by Amy Sapia, and I highly recommend her! She is amazing with color! I have been coloring my hair since high school, and I have never loved my color as much as I do now! The whole staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is super cute! Parking/​location is easy as well! Give this place a try! And go see Amy Sapia!!! :))

Amy is wonderful. She is a very talented, skillful stylist. She patiently listened to my requests and worked quickly to execute beautiful highlights and haircut. As other reviews indicate Amy is engaging and funny. I highly recommend her!

After 10 years of having the same stylist, my stylist moved and I had to find someone new. I was a nervous wreck about finding a new stylist since I obviously was attached to my previous stylist. I was scared that no one could highlight my hair the way my old stylist did or that a new stylist would want to go crazy and chop all of my hair off! For a quick second, I even considered just going to the drug store and buying a box of hair color for my own quick fix. After that thought, I came to my senses and decided I needed to go on the hunt for a new stylist.
I talked to some friends who mentioned Revive and said that they had great experiences. I looked on Unilocal at their reviews and pictures as well. I decided that I would give Revive a try and booked an appointment with Amy. From the pictures, I could tell Amy knew what she was doing with long blonde hair which is exactly what I have. Amy was quick in booking an appointment within a week, which was great for my roots.
The salon location was great and convenient to anyone who lives in Lakeview or near Lakeview. The vibe was friendly and welcoming unlike some salons that are too fast-​paced and snoody. Amy was fabulous. She completely understood what I was looking for regarding highlights, low lights and a trim. She worked pretty quickly too which was a benefit as someone who has long and thick hair. The price was reasonable as well for what I had done. I already have booked my next appointment with Amy because I was so pleased with the outcome and I am thrilled that I have found a new stylist! I definitely would recommend Amy and Revive to anyone searching for a stylist.

I waited a week to write this review. After Unilocaling other places and decided not to go into the salons where I’ve been before or trying out another new spot, I noticed Revive is located near Snap gym where I spend a hour everyday. Therefore I’m happy already not having to drive uptown or Metairie. My decision to go in came from hair damage from being blonde. I was in need of a real hair cut!!! About 5 inches off to be exact!
Anywhoo … I walked in just on a hope that I can be seen on the spot and with my awesome luck, it happened! The gorgeous long hair blonde at the front was no nice and helpful that she set me up with Sara. By the time I sat down Sara called me to be seated. I pulled out my iPhone to show her cuts I’ve been liking all while I’m mentioning get rid of any damaged pieces. Aside from Sara doing just like I wanted and needed, she is nice and knows her sh*t. Very helpful and friendly too when I asked her about hair products or non related hair talk! Definitely going back to keep getting hair cuts/​trims :) eventually I’ll get some color again.
As for the ambience of the salon, it is open, clean, and modern. Very welcoming and normal, nothing too fancy just comfortable. plus I have seen just about a wide age group from 25 – 45 both men and women walk in.
As for my hair, I love it! All that was bad is gone. And the price was exactly what I had in mind to pay for a cut.

I just recently moved back to New Orleans from Las Vegas and was in need of place to have my hair done. I looked up businesses close to my home and found Revive. I requested Amy as per some of the reviews and am very glad that I did! Amy did a fantastic job on my hair for both cut and color! And she is quick to boot! I am glad I found this place and Amy! It’s tough moving to a new place and finding a competent hair stylist! Consider that checked off of my list! Thanks Amy!

I had been going to a different hair salon for about a year, and decided it was time to make a change and find a place and a stylist more like the place I used to go in California that I miss dearly. I found Revive on Unilocal and decided to try it out based on the reviews. I ended up having an appointment with Amy and she was AWESOME. I pretty much gave her free reign over my hair, with the insights that I’ve got a little one and need to have a cut and style that will get me through work and also be easy to throw in a ponytail and go, and she did an amazing job. I’ve been really happy with the cut and style and will definitely be back. I highly recommend.

Really nice yet comfortable salon. Friendly staff. Fay Bayard is the queen of good color. She stays up with current trends and is good with traditional/​professional looks. You know how it feels when you get a good cut? That’s what you get in addition to beautiful color. Experience counts. 5 stars in hair!

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about this salon!!! I have always been very picky about the color of my blonde, as I think most blondes are, and I regularly get highlights and lowlights. I trust Sara 100% with my hair cut and color. She has made it look fabulous every single time I have walked out that door. Both my mom and good friend have started using Sara for their hair cuts and color and they’re both in love :) The salon is very trendy and clean… I can honestly say I have never had to wait long at all for my appointment. Sara is generally ready for me when I walk in the door. One huge plus for me is the fact that Sara has never once pushed products on me… Love that!!!

Amy Sapia at Revive has been cutting my hair for a few years now and it always looks great! She keeps me looking well kempt and professional. The atmosphere and energy of Revive is inviting and upbeat. It’s a great place to go to have a chat with the friendly staff while receiving a top notch hair cut.

Being a natural blonde it can be difficult to find a stylist that can cut my hair without any scissor marks. Trust me! I have been going to Amy for 4 years now and she has given me many different looks without a single flaw! She takes the time to listen to what I want and always executes perfectly! If I could give her 10 stars, I totally would! I live and work in Lakeview, so Revive is very convenient.

Before going to Revive, I was a wandering client just looking for my perfect stylist. I’ve been to many other salons in the city and just didn’t feel a connection with any of them. When Revive opened up, not only was it extremely convenient (I live in the lakeview area), it was just what I was looking for in a salon. I’ve been going to the amazing stylist Emily S. for about a year now and its safe to say I’ve found my new home. I’ve recommended everyone to her from cousins to friends of friends. I would go into the salon without a clue of what i wanted and left with something I didn’t even know could happen with my hair. Emily, without a doubt has a loyal customer in me and never has me leaving unhappy.

Only place I trust to get my haircut. Been a customer since they opened.

Best new salon in town

A great place to get my hair done. Faye is very open to what I want and how I want things done. They are affordable. I would gladly get my hair done there all the time. They are also open at great times which works well with those who work.
