I can’t heap enough praise on Mark and his team. They finished a 3 day job in 2 days, came out very shortly after my call and estimate (over the holidays), and speaking of the estimate, they were almost half the price of another electrician I called. Mark is a go-​getter and interested in serving the customer. I left a voicemail the first day, and he called back while I was on the phone with the electrician with the highest estimate, in fact he called back 3 times while I was on the phone. I’m glad I went with 3 estimates and gave him a shot. Best price, best schedule, best service. He was very cognizant about the work when there was plaster that might be damaged and he wouldn’t be able to repair, and talked to me the entire time to give me choices on how to proceed. The only thing that didn’t turn out perfect, which was more of a confluence of my misunderstanding and the difficulty of the job, was a couple of the replaced outlets stick out of the wall, they aren’t mounted flush. I attribute this to my lack of understanding and not asking enough questions, plus the difficulty of wiring those locations. I’ve already told Mark I’m going to have him give me estimates on more work and I look forward to working with him again.
This is a small locally owned shop where the owner is out there busting it for customers. They don’t have the glitz and gloss of a big shop, but the personal touch can’t be quantified. Give Professional Electric a call when you’re getting estimates (ALWAYS get at least 3). I know I’m keeping them handy for more work around my house.

I called two different electricians that are near my home in the Irish Channel, as I like to use businesses in my neighborhood. After multiple calls, I finally gave up on both of them. I found Professional Electric on Unilocal and the experience was fantastic. Fast, efficient, friendly to say the least. Very positive experience. Especially when contrasted with the others.

I’m very pleased with Professional Electric. Mark came out and changed the main in my breaker box as all my 220 appliances were not working (central air, water heater, stove, dryer, etc.). He was friendly, the service was fast, and despite my ignorance in electric work, he seemed very meticulous which I appreciated from a mechanic’s perspective. He also cleaned out and replaced some corroded wires I had free of charge. I didn’t get any other quotes before I had the work done but when I tried to find the pricing of what it would normally cost online, I couldn’t find an average as low as what I paid with Professional Electric by a few hundred dollars which made me feel even better about choosing them (thanks Unilocal!).

Mark, the owner, responded very quickly to my call when the electric to our kitchen appliances kept cutting in and out.
He promised to be over within a short time frame, and kept me posted when he realized he would be slightly delayed.
When he arrived, he assessed the situation, diagnosed, and then resolved the problem.
I couldn’t ask for any better service, and he is now our electrician!
