We had heard good things about Pizza Domenica and while the garlic knots were very good, the pizza we ordered was just okay. We ordered the Muffuletta Pizza. We love Muffuletta sandwiches, and we were excited to see it on the menu. The toppings were very sparse and did not give the feeling of eating a Muffuletta. Very little olive salad, except for a lot of pickled cauliflower. Overall, the experience was okay but not enough to bring us back anytime soon.

What a wonderful evening, went in with a large group and shared a ton of pizzas and had awesome cocktails. Neil our server took great care of us and the manager Ana made sure to check up on our group to make sure everything was perfect. Thanks so much for an awesome evening!

Great pizza and ambiance at Pizza Domenica. However, I long for the days of their happy hour consisting of half price pizzas and different alcoholic drinks from 3 – 6 every day of the week. I guess too many people were taking advantage of that deal, so they limited happy hour a couple of months ago to 3 – 5 M-F. I usually get the the Tutto Carne or Smoked Chicken Pesto Pizza, both of which taste great.

Pizza Domenica is soooo good. Which means it can also get crowded. They do, however, take reservations if you are better at planning ahead than I am. However, even when there is a line, it usually moves relatively quickly. The pizza has the perfect crust and is excellent. But the real stars, imo, are the appetizers. Their meatballs are amazing… they’re a super tender and tasty mix of pork and beef served with polenta, which is the perfect companion. The wings, if they’re not sold out, are no joke(thus the reason they sell out.) They’re smoked and spicy and delicious. I’m pretty sure I’ve had all the appetizers, but the meatballs and the wings are my favorites. The service is friendly, even if things can move slowly at times. But that’s okay, I don’t want anyone to rush that perfect char on the bottom of my crust. The lighting is dim and the atmosphere is very warm and intimate.

No changes to the food here, which is still the best pizza in New Orleans, my Girlfriend and I frequent this establishment regularly. Do note the happy hour has changed half price pizza is no longer 3−6pm 7 days a week, a deal too good to be true, the new Happy Hour is M-F 3−5pm, now with beer and wine discounted during that time as well. Still a great rotating selection local and national craft beer options on tap, bottled and canned.

Great place in a great area. I was walking down Magazine, looking for a bar or place to watch the Blackhawks game, and saw bright lights, a bar, and a couple of TV’s. Of course, I saw tables and people eating, too. I asked the bartender if she could put the Hawks game on one TV, and no problem. Had a Crispin Cider in a chilled glass… excellent way to quench my initial thirst. Tried a NOLA Blonde ale, hoppy, bright finish, tasty. Ordered meatballs. When they came they looked ordinary, but no… Flavor up the yin/yang. On a bed of polenta with spicy arribiata sauce. Meatballs had mini chunks of something, I’m going with garlic. Not overpowering, just great taste, and made me hungry. Ordered a Four Roses bourbon on the rocks and another NOLA Blonde. The Hawks were losing, so I had other priorities now. I ordered a prosciutto pizze. When it came it looked beautiful, and smelled great. The taste, again… fresh, crunch, crust tenderly burnt on the edges, mozzarella melted, tomato sauce, and the crunch of arugula. The prosciutto was paper thin, and see-through with a hint of fat attached that added more flavor. Yes… flavor, flavor, sabor. Loved it. Started talking to a patron next to me only to find out they had been closed an hour already. The bartender, Nicole was a nice young lady, very personable, and friendly. Never told us to leave. I asked what time they close, she said 9. but it was 10 already. Sorry, Nicole! Thanks. I’ll be back!

The pizza was OK. We got a margherita and a carne. The garlic knots and the CAULIFLOWER were awesome! The cauliflower is a little pricey, but totally worth it. And the dipping sauces rock. The staff was SUPERFRIENDLY. From the girl I talked to on the phone to place my order to the girl who I paid to the girl who packed it all up to go for me … a lot of really great customer service. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but it looked really cute and clean. It’s also in a pretty fun part of town. I had no problem finding parking on the street on a Thursday night.

So many changes since my last review! Okay, really just two, but they’re big ones. 1) Waiter service — yay! 2) Happy hour 3pm-6pm — double yay! Still wish happy hour were something more like 5−8pm, or really just all day every day, but it’s definitely an improvement. Half off pizzas plus a different drink special every day — you can’t go wrong. Also, EATTHEGARLICKNOTS! And then just lick the bowl of whipped cheesy goodness they come with, because whatever, you gotta live your life.

There is only one thing you must know about Pizza Domenica: The garlic knots will change your life. I was visiting New Orleans for the weekend with 8 of my friends, and we ended up at Pizza Domenica for dinner on a Saturday night(after realizing our reservations at Domenica were too early for us to make). And I’m so happy we did! It’s a short drive away from the French Quarter– not walking distance if that’s where you’re staying. This is the more casual spin-off of Domenica and has a lovely ambiance inside. Sort of industrial-chic. We had a large table in the back near the kitchen, which has an open concept you can kind of see into. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the garlic knots to start, which come with this delicious cheese spread for dipping. Oh. My. God. The knots were incredibly flavorful, super soft, and the cheese spread just put them on a whole other level. I was so blown away by the garlic knots I wanted to order more! We also ordered a few different pizzas from the table — they were super thin crust and tasty, but my heart and mind already belonged to the garlic knots, the true star of our meal. Whenever I am back in New Orleans I will definitely make the trip back to Pizza Domenica, especially for those garlic knots

Great happy hour! 3 – 6 everyday… even on the weekends! Happy hour will get you ½ price pizzas, and different drink specials each day. Fridays are ½ price bottles of wine. What a deal! I got the wild mushroom pizza that also has Benton’s bacon(the best), and a sunny side up egg. It was delicious. My boyfriend got the Tuto Carne, and it was tasty as well. The highlight thought was the garlic knots served piping hot with a side of whipped provolone cheese. Yes… you read that right. Whipped provolone cheese! This stuff is addictive!

Nice to find such delicious pizza for the whole family in this casual uptown spot. Cheese is very high quality, thin crust is delicious. Glad i got introduced to this place by some friends.

Great pizzas. Awesome appetizers. Good prices. Great happy hour. This is like the baby brother to Domenica, downtown. The menu is slightly smaller, and the vibe is a little more loud. In fact, it was very hard to have a conversation without yelling across the table. Not a deal breaker though. If I didn’t live so far from this location, I would probably go back soon. But considering Domenica is a 60 second walk from my apartment, I’ll probably keep going there.

I didn’t mean to end up here, but I did. Attempting to go to Domenica with a group of foodie friends from out of town and being told we couldn’t get in until later that night, we were super disappointed. Hesitantly, we made our way over to Pizza Domenica and I must say our experience was great! The garlic knots are a MUST. If I was by myself I probably could’ve ate the entire tray of them. Served with a warm, whipped aged provolone, it simply is delicious. Do not refrain from ordering. Moving on to the pizza, we ordered the tutto carne which is covered in all kinds of delicious meats. Loved it! I also ordered the smoked chicken pesto which i wasn’t crazy about. Overall do not hesitate to give this place a try. It’s completely worth it during happy hour, especially being half price. I look forward to coming back and trying some of their different beers once I pop this baby out.

Domenica’s CBD location has always been one of my favorite restaurants in town, with what I consider to be THE best pizza in New Orleans. Well, Besh has done it again! Pizza Domenica is a bit more casual, but offers the same amazing wood-fired pizzas, with unique toppings and pepper-infused olive oil dipping sauce, minus the pasta options. The vibe is «uptown chic». The service, outstanding.(Apparently the table service is new, as I’ve read in earlier posts that you used to order before sitting down.). The garlic knots are a «must-have». Similar great wine & beer selection to what you’ll find in the CBD location, along with a top-notch bar, of course. Don’t miss their 3pm-6pm happy hour(better than the 2 – 5CBD happy hour) for half-priced pizza and daily drink specials, including half-priced pitchers of beer on Mondays and half-priced wine on Thursdays. Two of my favorite days!

Pizza is not the food that comes to mind when one visits NOLA, but it should be! The reason is that you can enjoy some of the finest California«New American» style pizza in the US on Magazine Street, and all for a reasonable price. The restaurant space is warm and aesthetically beautiful. The staff was friendly, and our reserved table was ready upon our arrival. Every single item on the menu that we tasted or observed others having was incredible. First, the garlic knots — a must have. They are plentiful, so share these at your table. They come with a huge serving of ricotta cheese to add to the deliciousness. Man can live on garlic knots alone. Then there’s the pizza. The experience here is similar to one of my favorite pizza restaurants in the US, Pizzeria Mozza in LA. The pizza here is served in a generous individual portion(this is not Pizza Hut), but large enough for two people when served with a salad or the appetizer(did I mention garlic knots?). The pizza is fresh California style — not traditional Italian or New York style pizza. I really wanted to try the roasted carrot, but my southern friends insisted on some protein. We had the chicken and apple pizza glazed with honey and the meat lovers pizza. The meat lovers was nice but fairly standard and not very unique. The chicken and apple pizza was the bomb. I seriously could have eaten the whole thing alone. We accompanied our meal with the delicious brussel sprouts salad, and the equally delicious caesar salad. Both are excellent options. We ended this great experience with the sweet potato pecan pie. There are no words. It was like your grandmother’s Thanksgiving sweet potato casserole with pecan pie filling on top, served in a pie crust. The slice was plenty for three of us to nibble and enjoy. Hats off to Domenica. NOLA does a lot of things well, including pizza.

Loved this place… ESPECIALLY since they had a happy hour with the pizzas half off from 3 – 6. My hubby and I shared the Tutto Cana and it was sooo delicious. I felt like the meat was fresh and the homemade flavors really shined. My friend had the smoked chicken pizza and I thought it was really good too, despite maybe your meat eaters being turned off by all the green on it(arugula and broccoli and pesto). It was super good, especially the ricotta cheese sauce as the base. Another gem we discovered was the garlic knots with the Gorgonzola whipped Fondu sauce! Oh. My. Goodness. Delicious! Wash this all down a half off pitcher of 3 philosophers. A nice afternoon in midtown NOLA.

THEWINGS! Yes, I know you love Domenica for the pizza during happy hour, but those smoked chicken wings! Go and order them. You’re welcome. Oh also, we sat at the bar and the bartender(sorry I can’t remember your name but you are also in real estate and your girlfriend is a pastry chef) was awesome.

Well, we stopped in during happy hour around 5pm before I had to be at a work meeting. I can’t really say to much on the service because we didn’t stay our usual dine time or order any extras. Basically, we walked in and were seated the server brought water and we were already ready to order. We ordered. Someone else brought the pizza when she came to check on us we were ready for to go boxes. Not because she took awhile but because I was pressed for time. The pizza is half price from 3 – 6 which I find a great deal! Instead of sharing we each had our own. The tuttu carne and Gorgonzola . Both we full of fresh ingredients On a nice light airy crust. The star of my gorgonzola pizza was the peaches! I’ll definitely pay for extra peaches next time. I wish it came with more so I could have a little taste in each bite. Super delish. We definitely want to come again during happy hour when we have more time. It was a split second decision to stop and we knew we didn’t have much time.

Garlic Knots, Garlic Knots, Garlic Knots! Get it! A great pizza place on Magazine Street. Yes, get the garlic knots to start. It’s really good. The meatballs were good but nothing to write home to mom about. We ordered the pepperoni and Gorgonzola pizza which was great. Great bar and beer selection automatically makes this a 4-star review The only negative comment on this place is the small space between tables. They sure do try to pack as much tables in such a small area. Some lady decided to stand and talk to the people in the table next to us so all we could see at eye level was a big ass and it’s not very appealing. Overall a good place for pizza but mind the table you pick.
