My wife and I have used this cleaners for about 5 years because it’s so close to our house. The service as always been mediocre. I’m never sure how much their services cost because they don’t have a list of set prices. I think it just depends on who writes your ticket and some charge more than others. Also the turnaround time on dry cleaning is usually 5 – 7 days. It always seemed like a really long time to wait for dry cleaning.

To tell you the honest truth, «dry cleaning» is an enigmatic process to me, and if my clothes didn’t have a label that said dry clean only, everything would go in the machine… and that’s not to say I haven’t been like, «pish posh, this doesn’t need to be dry cleaned.» RIP silk shirts. So I recently moved back to Uptown, and started going back to Normand Cleaners. I go maybe 4 times a year with a wrinkly mess of clothing to the dry cleaner. I’m sure they shudder when they see me getting out of my car. Normand Cleaners has no bells or whistles, except for the bell that you ring to get buzzed in. I brought in 10 items: 6 dresses, 1 jacket, 1 really long skirt(longer than most my dresses), and 2 shirts on a Thursday, and they said it’d be ready on Saturday(though I didn’t pick up till maybe two weeks later). The total was a little over $ 80, and I’m not sure what the itemized prices are, but that doesn’t seem too bad to me. They do take cards. Next time I got there in three months, I’ll be sure to get pricing. All in all, I don’t see myself going anywhere else since it’s a quick in-and-out kind of place, and my bagged clothing seem fine when I get them back.

I had a similar bad experience here. This place was recommended to me by a friend, but the service was horrible. I’ll never go back. How hard can it be to clean a button-down shirt?

DONOTGOHERE. Please save yourself the trouble and go to Sam Wing Cleaners on Elysian Fields instead. I had been here a couple times, and everything was fine. Most recently, however, I got some of my suits cleaned. The jackets came back floppy and warped and wouldn’t sit well, so I asked very nicely if they could do anything to make them fit again. The owner told me that there was nothing he could do, and that it was somehow my fault that the jackets had lost their shape. I immediately regretted choosing this place closer to home over the wonderful Sam Wing Cleaners. I’ll never make that mistake again! Sam Wing said they could fix my jackets right away. They provide impeccable customer service and always do an excellent job with my clothes. Please pay them a visit!

New Orleans is a wonderful generally cheap place. People are nice and for the most part they don’t smell. However, I don’t know if its just because everyone in the big easy is lazy and take their«stuff» to the cleaners, ooooorrr its just that the humidity makes clothes wrinkle proof, but the fact of the matter is that cleaners in NOLA are expensive. Normand Cleaners has good prices and a nice chinese lady that always makes my clothes look good. PS. They have crazy hours, I went there at 3:45 and they were closed. Then I went on a Saturday and once again it was«cerrado». Hey, nothing in life is perfect.

One of the things I love about my neighborhood is that I have so many business that are walkable. Normand is one of those. While I haven’t bought them anything super hard or fancy.(I’m just not the beaded gown sort of gal.) Everything I have had cleaned has been done well and quickly. Plus the prices are pretty good.
