I can’t say enough about this place. Niki is a true professional with a down to earth personality and a keen eye for what works best. I have an incredibly difficult head of hair to cut and she has delivered for me time and again. The staff are friendly and engaging– great experience all around.

I went to this salon for the first time because I was in desperate need of a haircut. Abby Bordes listened to what I wanted and delivered to perfection. The cut was great, cheap ($ 40) and she gave me great tips on managing my hair and when to get it cut again. I’ll definitely be back.

Abby has been taking gr8 care of my hair for nearly a year. She has expertly colored my hair exactly like I requested even though I’ve shifted gears on her several times. She always pays attention and delivers! I just explain what I want and she works her magic!

Niki Walker is amazing! I don’t trust my locks to anyone else in New Orleans. She gave my generally straight hair the ability to rock a wavy/​curly style which I need here with the long, hot and humid summers. She’s also an excellent colorist for red-​heads — or any color of the rainbow. The entire staff are talented, delightful and highly professional. Always a fun stop. With 4,000 new apartments being built in the CBD/​Warehouse area you’re going to want to book in advance. Niki is a headliner at New York Fashion Week. Beautiful edgy cuts, simple classic styles, weddings… she, Lindsey, Abby, Damian, Sadey and the team can do it all.

Left with chemical burn on my scalp. Hair dye still in my eyebrows. Five and a half hours and didn’t end up even close to the color I wanted or a haircut. The girl that did my hair had a kick ass personality, and I could tell that she was still fresh in the industry, but wish they could have been completely honest in telling me they couldn’t do what I wanted.

Not the best place if your looking for a precision haircut! Consultation was short, shampoo was other then desirable and no rinse after haircut! All for 50.00 not worth it

Shame on me for waiting so long to write this review! Let me start off by saying I had a wonderful experience! Niki Walker herself is an amazing woman and a great stylist! She listened to what I wanted in a haircut and was able to give me just the cut I was after. I’ve been to many salons and no one was able to give me the cut I was looking for until now. Thank you Niki for a perfect hair cut!!!
For those of you out there turned off by the cost, I’d have to say it’s worth every penny to have a great experience along with the best haircut around!

Just got my hair cut here! I was extremely satisfied! Niki took me through a brief consultation, shampooed and cut precisely how I wanted it! She even gave me styling tips throughout the process! Highly recommended!

After my cancer surgery, I had thinning hair due to the stress of it all and was looking to update my color as well as get extensions. Niki was very accommodating with her time and cut and colored my hair one day and inserted the extensions the next day in about an hour;. I couldn’t be happier because I feel like my old self again with a beautiful full head of natural looking hair and have gotten numerous compliments… the extensions matched my highlights perfectly! Niki is an expert artist, as she does many shows during NYCFW, and makes every client feel special. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the prices extremely reasonable.

Wanted to get highlights at the last minute and the receptionist was extremely helpful and accommodating. Hydie was my stylist and she did a fantastic job. I wanted ombré highlights but had very dark hair and was worried that the blonde-​brown would look too brassy on me. Hydie was very professional and understood exactly what I was looking for, and still had room to be creative with my color. I will not go to any other stylist no matter how convenient. Their Paul Mitchell awapuhi products are also amazing and smell awesome!

I called on a Saturday and they were able to miraculously fit me in for a haircut due to some last minute cancellations. I was promptly greeted and introduced to my stylist. She was very informative regarding products that I should consider using on my dry hair, but did not push me to buy any products there. She gave me a lovely scalp massage during the shampoo and conditioner. She did a fantastic job with the styling after the cut and showed me how to curl my hair with a flat iron. I forgot to ask to see the cut before the styling but assessed at home after I washed my hair and my long layers are perfect; exactly what I wanted.
My only disappointment is that everyone else there was offered a beverage, specifically wine, and I didn’t. I should’ve just asked but we were well into my appointment and I felt awkward.
Overall, it was a nice experience and I would definitely return.

Happened upon this place after I crawled out of my foggy depression months after my previous gay packed up and left town. This was like no break up I had ever experienced before. Once I started remembering I had hair and that something should probably be done to it so people wouldn’t mistake me for a homeless person who just lost her cardboard sign, I hit absolute rock bottom and bought two boxes of Loreal dye at K-​Mart. Yes, I did. The result was catastrophic — a pukey-​greenish brown frazzled mess that perfectly reflected the pits of my despair… CUE NIKI WALKER!!!
Once I admitted that I was powerless over my coif and that I needed a power greater than myself (and Loreal) to restore me to sanity, I called a friend whose herr calls for a seasoned interventionist, and she told me to look up Jim Compton at NW. I called and was seen within a couple of days and I was SAVED.
The salon is relatively new and has a great energy. Everyone is fun and super cute. It is a Paul Mitchell Concept Salon. I’m not quite sure what that means except that the stylists there have to be certified PM people and they use and sell all PM products. GIven the state of my dome when I crept in the first time, this was a God send, and my new addiction to the Awapuhi Wild Ginger is completely justifiable considering my newly sleek mane.
The location is perfect — smack dab in the middle of the CBD on Baronne about a block East of the new Rouse’s. Check it out!
