We came in later in the evening and the woman who was there was quick to assist us. She didn’t bother to ask us any questions and assumed she knew what we wanted. She assumed the girlfriend wasn’t interested when she was. When she realized we were both interested, she opened up a handful of cigars for us and told us to smell each of them. Only way she could have been less demanding in doing so was to jam the cigars into our noses. She never asked what cigars we enjoyed previously and kept opening more and more cigars, exclaiming that we would like this or that. The selection is nice and the staff are helpful, however their method of doing things was too aggressive and one-sided.

Cool little cigar spot next to my hotel. They have the usuals Cohiba, Monte Christo, etc. I stop for a Romeo and Juliet which they had. The wife wanted to try on but wanted something sweet. Sad to say they didn’t have any but that’s OK she settled for something else. Nice atmosphere and in the middle of the French Quarter.

Stopped in here a few weeks ago to pick up cigars for my husband, who was at home with our daughter while I was on a bachelorette party trip with 11 friends. I received the prompt and undivided attention of the owner, who recommended a few cigars that my husband ended up loving. He also had some good suggestions for places to eat as he’d lived in the area forever, I could have stayed here all day and chatted with him. Very nice man, very nice shop. I’d like to come back here when I have more time, and bring my husband so he can pick up a few more yummy cigars!

As far as I knew, clove cigarettes were banned in the US, along with any other«flavored» cigarettes that the FDA determined to be attractive to children. You know, because of course children are going to be compelled to smoke two packs of these a day… If anyone has ever smoked a clove, they’d know they are hardly the cigs to cut your teeth on. As in, stronger than an unfiltered Marlboro Red… I like one from time to time, but if you have a night smoking these, you wake up the next day feeling like you ate the contents of an ashtray plus a baked ham. Imagine my surprise when I walked into Nawlins Cigar and Coffee and found many varieties of Djarums! I bought a pack and observed how they got around this. Now they are called«cigars»(cuz of course teens don’t think«cigars» are cool) and are sold in packs of 8 for 12 dollars. Hell, you’re hardly going to get addicted to these things at these prices! I didn’t try the coffee here, but I suppose it’s convenient when you just want a quick cup and don’t feel like waiting on a line at a coffeehouse.
