The view of foxes from the outside lured me into Cocoally, but the wish animals had me opening my wallet. While I found the whole concept of voodoo interesting and intriguing, I found the concept of hopefulness combined with cuteness of Wish Dog and friends even more so. You right your wish on a piece of paper, burn the paper and your wish is granted. Needing some wishes granted and loving the adorable factor, I was an instant fan. If you didn’t think wish granting was a nice enough concept, the guy working the store was also super nice. Cocoally was all around a nice place. Shame on Taylor Swift for allegedly ripping off the artist’s design.

The twee animal designs drew me in when I walked by this adorable little shop. Cocoally is a true artisan boutique in every sense of the word. The shop features cute t-shirts, tote bags, children’s clothing and more, all printed with the super adorable animal friendly designs by New Orleans artist Ally Burguieres. Apparently the artist is also an outspoken vegan because there were some awesome animal rights styles(I had to buy the VEGHOG hedgehog with vegetables on his head reuseable tote bag as a souvenir)! Since this store is in the French Quarter, there were also several cute«New Orleans» themed and printed items for sale. These would make great souvenirs or gifts for your friends back home(much more so than the cheap Made in China mardi gras masks, massed produced offensive Bourbon Street t-shirts or poor quality flea market magnets). I loved nearly every one of the designs on offer but I was particularly partial to the kitty cat designs! There were whimsical designs with foxes, hedgehogs, elephants, lions, dogs and more. Everything in the store(from adult t-shirts to tote bags to children’s t-shirts) was priced around $ 30. Worth a stop if you happen to pass by! So… Much…Cuteness!
