BUYERBEWARE! I used very poor judgment in purchasing a ring at Naghi’s on Canal Street. The price was marked at $ 2,400 so when I got it for $ 1,000 I thought I’d really found a bargain. I do like the looks of the ring, but my jeweler in San Francisco said it should have sold for $ 500. The stones and metal are real, but the quality is not there. Don’t let the old guy pressure you and convince you that he is «giving» it to you at the price he comes down to. There are lots of stores with antique jewelry, so look around and use good judgment.
