My friend and I accidentally stumbled upon Meltdown one extremely hot summer day back in 2012(when this joint used to be in the French Quarter). I’ve been hooked ever since… these pops are definitely worth every penny! I love all the flavors, especially the salted caramel and Vietnamese coffee. The owner is incredibly sweet and down to earth as well, which is another reason to make the trek to the Bywater for these pops!

Excellent, unique flavors! Super nice owner. Vegan to boot! Only thing is I wish they were open during the week… Craving cold, tasty treats isn’t limited to the weekend!

I love popsicles, yes I do! This place is out of the ways if you’re hanging out in the touristy spots, but totally worth the hike for a delicious cold treat on a hot day. When I read that there was a local made popsicle, I knew I had to have one. The day we went was a scorcher and I just wanted to sit and eat 3 or 4 of them. My saner half decided it would be better if we each got one and then shared another. He was right, although I ended up the majority of the ‘shared’ one any way. Bwahahaha! The lemon raspberry was my favorite flavor that day. A sweet tart icy cold treat that hit the spot. This place isn’t huge, but we were able to sit back and talk to the owner and some locals for about an hour which was nice. The owner is a really kind and friendly woman, I do hope that this place works out and lasts the test of time because I would love to see her be able to expand to a bigger spot. I will definitely be back, every time I visit NoLa.

Amazing ice cream that will not disappoint. The salted caramel should be sold by the gallon-it’s delish. They marry unique flavors into the best surprises for your taste buds. I haven’t had a flavor yet that I did not like.

Stopped in on a hot day while a second line was moving down St. Claude Ave. I wanted something to cool me off and there is Meltdown. You probably won’t know its there unless you stumble upon it or you stop to eat at the sneaky pickle, whatever the case they feature exotic popsicles that are sure to please. A great treat on a hot day if you are in the upper 9/bywater area.

The saffron rose water pop was heavenly. So good and the owner couldn’t have been nicer. The shop is in a cute location. It is nice to see St. Claude have cool places like this on it these days. It is far and away from my neighborhood, unfortunately, but my work schedule on Wednesday is such that I am totally stopping by here on Wednesdays from now on.

Go there now and get any popsicle. Park your car or butt and eat it up. Go back in and get another one. Delightful delicious combinations.

Oh so fabulous. We luckily were hot and saw the sign for natural Popsicles. These were the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a killer dulce de leche paleta in Mexico and all kinds of fruity ones in California and Hawaii. Wow. Wow. Wow. I had 2 dairy-based ones. Salted caramel that was delightful and not over-the-top sweet. My second one was dark chocolate with salt and olive oil. What every adult’s fantasy of what a fudgesicle could be. Likely one of the best chocolate items I’ve ever had. My wife had pineapple cilantro — a fantastic refreshing combo that is vegan. Her second one was mayhaw(hawthorn fruit that is a bit tart) with a little bit of chia seeds. $ 3 for one of the best Popsicles you’ll probably ever have. Planning on returning tomorrow before our flight back to California.

We were told to check this place out by some friends. It’s a little outside the tourist area but worth the trip. The ice pops are great and the owner is super nice. Be warned NOICECREAMONLYICEPOPS! I had the chocolate sea salt and it was excellent. Definitely make the trip out here.

Unique flavors and very friendly service add up to 6, whoops, I mean 5 stars. I especially like the fact that the guy who helped us was the neighboring business owner and not even the actual proprietor.

My husband and I had a terribly stressful day when we popped into meltdown for a couple ice pops. I got a blueberry lavender coconut milk and he a saffron rose water and let me tell you after putting those ice pops in our mouth all of our stress just seemed to dissipate! They were not only delicious but all natural too which is important for someone who has my diet. After eating them we were tempted to go back in and buy more. The woman who was at the counter was also sweet as can be and even made sure we liked them as we left. We’ll be in NOLA for a week but I can definitely see us stopping back in there! I highly recommend it!

I have moved and not yet seen the new location, but the pops & the service were both AMAZING every time I’ve been.

Thank goodness! A popsicle my son can actually eat. He has ADHD and can’t have dye or much processed sugar… and we’ve never had a problem with these pops. Fantastic and ever changing ingredients. And we go a lot since this is one of the few sweet treats he can have. Bonus? I actually LOVE them, too. Adult flavor combos like Blueberry Lavender Coconut milk, and salted dark chocolate. There is nothing that compares. Nothing. Hurry up winter and get over so we can get our pop fix again!
