Lush Cosmetics

I had no idea Lush had opened up a new shop on Magazine until we fatefully passed it last weekend. I noticed it right away… my sweetie didn’t but he circled blocks and potholes (major potholes!) to park for me and go in.
This Lush is huge and has everything a Lush addict wants/​needs. Everywhere you look there are product demos and sampling stations. I knew what I wanted already, but if you’re new to Lush you’re definitely in good hands with the employees here. They know their stuff.
Just a side note. If your guy circles blocks to take you into a store that makes him uncomfortable… MARRY HIM.

I’m really kicking myself for not taking photos of this place today. I’m still in awe as I write this review. I had no plans of going into this shop but the aroma wafting down the sidewalk is what drew me in. Like the Pied Piper luring children away from home, the perfume of lavender, berry, toffee and exotic flowers sucked me into Lush like light being pulled into a black hole. The old Aha space has been beautifully transformed into an open, lavish space. Wood floors, dark ceilings, recessed lighting and dark wood showcase the colorful splashes of product that line the walls. We must have looked like deer lost in the gaze of a headlight when the attendant came up to speak with us. He was passionate, cheerful and believed in the product. That passion was in every word that he spoke. «We are ambassadors of Lush Products so please let us answer any questions you may have. Feel free to pick up a copy of our catalog, it’s free. It’s our Bible of Product and it lists everything we carry.» I kept saying «Wow, wow, wow.» There are sinks, swabs and cards everywhere since every product is able to be tested. From bath bomb demonstrations to hair care, skin care and makeup, this British based company that recently crossed over the pond, boasts the biggest store in The United States, right here in New Orleans.
I must go back when I’m in the market for self-​care as everything about today’s experience has me intrigued wanting more.

Amazing new location! Just opened yesterday. A little busy but so much larger than the old one on Decatur. Wide variety of product although they need to carry more bath bombs. Loved it!
