I wish I could give this store zero stars. I’m from out of town and came across this store while in Lakeview walking about. I purchased a sweater without realizing that it had huge slits in the arms. I went back the next morning to return it with my father. I was told I would get $ 68 in store credit or an exchange, my response was I want a refund– I’m from out of town. The associate got the manager who gave my father a huge attitude. Eventually we got a refund but not before the manager and associate begun talking about my father as we were leaving. How rude! I will never be back to little miss muffin. Truly disgusted in the level of unprofessionalism. Side note: there return policy is nowhere to be found in the store and isn’t verbalized when checking out– it’s on the bottom of the receipt. How is that helpful?

I love coming in to the store and browsing. They have some unique gifts and home decorating items that are just awesome, and mainly all of the items have a NOLA theme. Its location on Harrison Avenue makes it easy to just park on the neutral ground and browse this store while being close to so many other dining and shopping spots. Little Miss Muffin is a unique store that adds classy to the area. There is an air of being cramped, as I am afraid to make sudden movements and accidentally break something. I do not think this is a good store for one to bring their small children inside, though there are some great items for small children. They are also a bit on the expensive side. But, I like coming in and getting ideas for gifts.

In the heart of Lakeview. This store has unique NOLA inspired home décor and clothes. I really adore the children’s clothes. They have the cutest headpieces and onesies. Very pricey I might add. They also have nice smelling candles and the classiest dining stuff.

I really like this eclectic NOLA-centric gift shop. They carry a full line of Heather Elizabeth designs as well as lots of others that are escaping my mind. Jewelry, shoes, clothes, bath products, wonderful home décor, children’s clothes and toys and a great selection of other things. It can be pricey and the one register can lead to quite a long line, especially when there is a sale. Staff is friendly and helpful– although they are prone to mistakes. Every time I’ve been here something has been ring up incorrectly(and for more money than tagged or a missed sale item). At least they fix it — even if you have to wait in a very long line!!!

Stopped in here while we were visiting New Orleans — what a great find! Wonderful selection of gifts — jewelry, clothing, house goods and décor and children’s items. The prices for some items were a little steep. Jewelry, surprisingly, did not seem overpriced. The store is so packed with great items that it’s a little overwhelming to narrow down your selection and to navigate the aisles. I was worried I would bump something over! Street parking is simple.

I have a love/hate thing going with Little Miss Muffin. I love the items they carry. I love that this location is quick/convenient for me to run over on my lunch hour from work. I love that there is easy, convenient parking in the neutral ground across the street. But I hate how cramped/crowded everything is in there. Talk about feeling like a bull in a china shop. I’m always so scared that I may break something. And then there are the prices. I hate that they feel like they need to mark up everything to the point that it is barely affordable(if I’m lucky) to way out of my price range. I also hate that I mistakenly assumed that they bracelets I bought were Lily and Laura since they were charging Lily and Laura prices. Unfortunately, they are knock-offs and not the level of quality as I was expecting. I should’ve known better, I just got excited at all the black and gold ones so I bought them without really checking them out. The staff is generally nice. The line to check out can be tedious though.

I’m taking off a star because they are so darned expensive! But this is my go to place when I want to find a unique gift for a girlfriend. As Jen L said, parking is across the street on the neutral ground or on the street. This store has so many different things! They have LSU items, Saints items, jewelry, clothes, purses, shoes, housewares, local art, children’s clothing and toys etc. It’s a neat store and they gift wrap for free which is awesome! I can rarely walk in this store and not buy something. I’ve bought bandeau tops, Volatile flip flops, Fleur de Liz car coasters, etc. in this store! The sales staff are friendly and helpful which is nice. I appreciate how they support local artists. But like another review said that things are jam packed in this store so I’m always afraid I’ll knock something down. So be careful if you bring your kids in the store because the housewares section is filled with fragile items! Happy Shopping!

Gorgeous kids clothes and home décor. Some items are pretty reasonable but some are so overpriced it’s crazy. They do a phenomenal job with gift wrap though and I never leave empty handed. So high prices or not I will keep buying the adorable smocked dresses.

I went to this store looking to add to my fleur de lis collection. They do have tons of stuff in there and moving around the place was a challenge. My big purse kept knocking stuff around and this girl started to get nervous about breaking one of those expensive things in there. Other than that, I dd find some fleur de lis wine glasses that were HOT!!! It set this diva back a little bit in the finance department, but I had a good time shopping.

This place is chocked full of beautiful things. Its not just kids clothing. There are tons of home acessories, clothing, shoes, and jewlery too. The prices are steep, but I expected it for this kind of small local shop.

Holy price tag! This place is expensive. You can practice multiplication in there by guessing at the price of the item and then multiplying by three. Apparently, I am alone here or severely under paid because there are always women in there buying stuff. The stuff is cute, don’t get me wrong. If you aren’t worried about price, you can probably find a gift for just about anyone. If you do, they have complimentary gift wrap for items over $ 15.

I used to frequent this business at it’s old location before Katrina. I can’t believe how much larger the store is now. And how much they’ve expanded their stock. Little Miss Muffin was always a great housewares, children’s clothes, great gift store, but now it carries a ton of shoes and women’s clothes by local as well as national labels. The store is chock-a-block full of stuff so be prepared to spend some time browsing. They had quite a bit of Saints gear(and LSU) which was really different from what I’ve seen other places. Parking is available across the street in the neutral ground.

I can always count on Little Miss Muffin for a unique gift. I love the local items they carry, as well as the large selection of jewelry, shoes, party supplies, picture frames, artwork… everything. This shop screams«NOLA!!!» I can honestly say that I have had a positive reaction from every recipient of a gift I purchased at this shop. As a wrapping-challenged girl, I also appreciate the free gift wrapping. The name of the shop can be a little misleading. The first time I heard it, I thought it was a shop for children. It is, but only in the back half of the store… But I do like the location. I’m only about 10 minutes from Harrison Avenue, and parking is a lot easier than on Magazine Street. I get a lot of the Magazine Street character without the traffic headaches that accompany that area.(Not that I don’t totally love Magazine Street!) The only reason I can’t give this shop five stars is the checkout process. The staff is very friendly, but this shop is often very busy. With only one checkout register, a visit to pick up a quick gift can last a little longer than anticipated. NOTE: I can’t select a price range. Some of the items are very reasonably priced, while others tend toward the pricey side.

What I love most about Little Miss Muffin is the friendly sales staff, the awesome selection of unique gifts and décor and the free — and beautiful — gift wrapping! They also carry many local artists, which I love to see. I know I can always find a million things I want there!
