Historic place, but not so much to do, really. Nothing for the kids like a playground or anything of the sort.

I have to agree with the first poster, Charles H. It’s like a mini Jazz Fest right in the city. Local artists performing, locals sitting in the park, or dancing or riding their funky lit up bikes and eating and drinking from food vendors. We ate here and all of us enjoyed the food from one local vendor. He was Bar B Quing ribs, pork chops and chicken. They also had sides to choose from like beans, rice, potato salad… Yummy, huge portions and cheap! It was a pleasure to meet true New Orleans locals in their neighbourhood. I also took a walk over to an open air art exhibit of local(Treme) artists. The theme of the art was local music talents. It was sad to see it pretty much unattended but I got a chance to talk to one artist. She was a nice lady who gave me a brief history of Treme. By the way, having a totally pimped out lit up, blinking, flashing, disco ball twinkling bike is a totally New Orleans cultural thing. Again NOLA proves to be the COOLESTCITYEVER!
