I went in this week and this not the first time I have been into this boutique. I actually have spent quite a bit of money at this location. When I went in the associates were rude. Maybe I did not look the part of a normal costumer there. One of the sales associate was resistant to help me and get off her behind when I had a simple question about a brand in the store. Additionally both sales associates were looking at me as if I had no money or I was going to steal something from the store. You all house cheap clothing that is marked up. Get a better attitude, do not judge people based off of looks and show everyone good customer service.

What a fun store! I’m from out of state and shopped with my 12 year old daughter and her friend. They provided great service. They had a pair of boots that my daughter had been wanting and they were happy to help her find the right size and were very friendly!

FYI: My rating is based on service not the products in the shop. So, I stopped by while doing some shopping on Magazine Street the last day of my trip in New Orleans. I had just left FRANCESCA’s which blew me away. A ton of cute things for very little $$.(Now, I love a good deal but as my honey, friends and family all know, I will spend money and quality items that move me .) When I came into the shop, the staff was brown-nosing some woman looking at everything. No biggie… I spotted a bracelet I liked in the front and tried it on. My honey didn’t love so I set it down. I noticed the sales girl looking RIGHTATME but says nothing. Oooookay. I make my way around the shop looking at the clothing and nothing really caught my eye. I go back to the front to try on the bracelet again. This time removing my other jewelry so I can show honey without other items distracting. The same sales girl follows me to the front of the store, walks with me to the middle of the shop where the chairs are located(honey sits in ‘man chair’ while I shop), then follows me back to the front as I take the bracelet off. Her jumpiness every time I took a step was very noticeable and annoying. I was so done with her I left the super expensive, high-end $ 45 orange bracelet b/c I did not enjoy the feeling of being regarded as a potential thief. I intended to stop by the other Hemline on Chartres next to my hotel but it slipped my mind. Maybe they have it and can mail it to me! ***If the store manager is interested I didn’t get the young lady’s name however as a description she is around 5’4, long dark hair and kinda heavy set.

Love the selections in the boutique. Lighting leaves a little to be desired. It was a muggy day — the only part of the store that had AC was the dressing rooms. So was dodging for light & trying to find AC. Found a really great unique necklace. Loved the selection so much visited the French Qtr store the next day to try & find something that they didn’t have something in my size at this location.

Hemline is a really cute boutique. And their seemed to be a good variety of items… skirts, blouses, dresses, sweaters, jeans, jewelry, etc. Unfortunately it was all just a little too girly for me. I’ll have to go back again and see if that’s their aesthetic in general or just at the moment. Meanwhile the space itself is AMAZING, with beautiful super high ceilings, exposed beams, open brick work. Just lovely. I know some movie scout is going to want to use the space for some sort of pivotal scene down here in Hollywood South.

Typical Magazine Street clothes boutique, the clothes are cute and would buy, except both times I have browsed in there I don’t get as much as a ‘hello’ from the employees. Maybe I don’t look enough like the«omg! like omg!» kind of girl, so I get snubbed. Is it really asking too much to be acknowledged?
