Stopped in for a random coffee. The staff were very nice, chatty, and very helpful! The coffee was ok. The atmosphere is basic, not a lot of tables or counters to enjoy your coffee on. Definitely a place for the work crowd at lunch.

Finding a nice coffee spot it’s super! But sadly this place has a counter person who does not understand what it is to be a barista. You don’t serve a boiling cup of coffee. Then you have to know how much coffee for a latte. I burnt my mouth, i have to ask for more cold milk, then for ice and this guy never asked what happened. It was just me at the store, he did not have more customers to say he was busy to take care of a customer. Please if you have a coffee shop, you must know and understand what coffee it’s about. And what hospitality business its about.

My favorite coffee spot in the cbd. They always have almond milk! They make a great bulletproof coffee as well! If you’re looking for a little cheat their house-made chocolate is amazing!

Excellent coffee and really really good Kolaches. Well worth the walk up Girod from the Convention Center which is what I did. Pretty good value for the money too, and the Kolaches were just the right size for me: I don’t need something huge, but they were more than bite sized too. The *only* negative: I was too early(7:30ish) for a complete Kolache selection.

MYBEHAVIORSAYS3STARSNOT2 I realized today that I always stop in here every other week to grab a delicious housemade kolache(when they haven’t run out) and subconsciously look forward to it. IN-HOUSEKINGCAKE-ETTES Made with puffed pastry and almond paste, feeds 2 – 4 for $ 7. Melt in your mouth delicious when zapped for 10 seconds.

I’m in love! Seriously! Iced coffee with that flavor? Not watered down? Not bland? I’m in love. I wish I could have went there again, but my buddies wanted to try as many different places as possible. I can’t blame them, but I would have definitely went here again and again!!! Starwhats?

Great local neighborhood coffee shop with great pour over coffee. They have great chocolates limited like their baked goods. It’s a a great coffee stop during mardi gras season being a few blocks away from St Charles ave. There is free wifi but limited table space. Folks typically come here for a cup of joe and run. Those who stay and chat at the bar are probably regulars. Nice folks, great service and good coffee.

Watch your account attendant skims tips. Card charged twice confirmation of 15 dollars taken. 7.63 for the first. 8.63 for the second. I don’t know how but it was. The second charge came 3 min after the first and I left the shop. The attendant gave himself a 1 $ tip. Awaiting the refund that he’s told me he gave. My bank said 2 – 3 business day all they see is two separate charges for your business. Should watch your attendants giving them seven tips. I wrote clearly 7.63 at bottom. And zero with a slash for tips. When he got the signed receipt and I left he added his tip. It’s clear as day what he did here.

Haro is amazing! They have the best cold brew in the city. The service is also wonderful. I’ve always been when JP is working and he is kind, charming, generous and hilarious. The atmosphere is wonderful and it’s the perfect place to cool off in the New Orleans heat. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to take a break in their day.

The staff here was super friendly and really know how to treat customers. I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and the worker on duty had said how they had run out of the whipped cream and he didn’t know how to make it–(apparently they make their own). I told him it was ok since he was already super friendly and I got the impression he was a newer employer and understand how it is to be in that situation. Well, one of the girls who works there, but was off the clock and just stopped in for a coffee, ended up overhearing the exchange, got behind the counter, and showed my barista how to make the whipped cream. I just thought that was so nice and loved the teamwork they had. If I ever work in the CBD again, I will definitely stop here for my caffeine fixes!

The barista was exceptionally friendly, the vibe of the little shop was very nice! The coffee itself was not good. I don’t know what particular being the roast with Nola but it definitely has a bitter flavor to it. Unlike another coffee shop we went to it was fixable with some cream and simple syrup. Considering the barista was so friendly and the atmosphere so nice it made up for the fact that it wasn’t exactly my preference of taste for the latte. The three stars or for her customer service. I’m not sure if the coffee was bad because she didn’t know how to make it or if it was the coffee they brewed so I would recommend trying it for yourself. Good customer service is always a major plus!

My sister and I popped in for our morning coffee. I had an iced coffee and it was delicious. It was dark and rich without being thick and syrupy. It almost tasted like flavored coffee, which I think was a result of chicory. I would come back here and order another iced coffee in a heartbeat. Service was great and there was outside seating available. *TIP — Check in on Unilocal and get $ 1.00 off an iced coffee*

I am surprised at how good the chai was here. A bit expensive at $ 4.00 for a small cup, but also worth it. I also love that it wasn’t super crowded and my colleague and I could sit here for over an hour and not feel rushed to leave. The woman sitting next to me was here before us and remained there after we left. That said, most seats at the counter and the two tables were always spoken for. There is a room where a guy is constantly preparing food so from where I was sitting, I could see that bacon was offered in sandwiches, and the bathroom has a «Brr! It’s cold outside!» sign written in chalk. The paper menus do have prices, but if you just slide up to the counter, it’s hard to know what, if anything they serve, besides the eponymous drink. I like their big windows and so on our last day, my colleague and I could enjoy the sunlight from inside a nice warm place with great music playing on Beats speakers. They also have pastries and chocolates along with salads to order. When I left a $ 1 tip, the female server made sure to put it in the tip jar which I thought was nice.

Pretty sure their frozen coffee is amazing… tastes more like a milkshake than a frozen coffee! The atmosphere is also really chill and the service was great. :)

This is my neighborhood coffee shop and represents so much of what I love about New Orleans. It’s a cute space, very approachable and the best part is the owner, workers and customers are all SONICE. Everyone chats you up like you’re a regular — all very charming. The chocolate is AMAZEBALLS. I cannot rave enough about the sweet treats that are made here. Do yourself a favor and stop by on Thursday night when the owner(Ryan Haro) passes out free wine and lets your try a variety of desserts. I ate my weight in chocolate and didn’t feel guilty about any of it bc it was so. damn. good. #gimmemore

Thought i’d write up a quick review from a place that I enjoyed while I was in New Orleans. I wanted to recommend it to someone who lives there and pulled up my Unilocal page to realize I didn’t review this hidden gem! This place is away from the popular areas of New Orleans close to Lafayette Square. It’s a couple of blocks from Harrahs. It’s a small, cute, community-oriented coffee shop where the coffee tastes amazing. I got a discount with a Unilocal check-in which was another huge plus and I enjoyed just hanging out and relaxing on a random afternoon when not much was going on. It didn’t matter that I wasn’t from there or that I was only staying for fifteen thirty minutes. It was just a good place to be with your thoughts, listen to some music, and use some free wifi while sippin on a good iced brew :)

The most expensive pourover I’ve seen in town. And… I wasn’t encouraged to order one. Perhaps the feeling I was interrupting the barista from her conversation with the guy seated at the end of the bar had something to do with it. The coffee was OK, but didn’t warrant what I paid for it. I see other reviews rave about the iced coffee, so perhaps that’s their strong suit.

I live for writing reviews about places like this. I am beginning to admire this part of the city more and more each day. The other side of St. Charles is overrated… There are quite a few new places on this side popping up. Pretty cool. I always felt like swiss confectionary set themselves up in a perfect location a long while ago — smart move. I thought that it was really nice of the owner Mr. HARO to come to my table and introduce himself! That always makes me feel good about my selection when this happens. The location is really good for a coffee shop. The owner and associates in the shop are very nice. I ordered an iced coffee with toffee flavor and was very impressed. I am not a difficult coffee lover but this was really GOOD. The iced chai tea is also a great find. Next time I visit I will try the chocolate.

4⁄5 whoa cold-brew so i stumbled on this after rouses and figured why not, it’s always a good time for coffee. this is a most excellent cold brew. if you’ve never tried, i’d say this is a good one to start with — it was fruity, not acidic at all, and had an almost smoky cherry finish. i’ll admit i’m a coffee snob and i think theirs is pretty darn good. they make all things in-house, including their chocolates and cookies, and apparently they’ll be slinging cocktails once they get their paperwork in order. the interior was clean and features a nice long bar where you can power-up for a late night of work or meeting friends before a nice dinner. look forward to trying again soon! ps. the stud who works Saturday mornings reads Unilocal and will encourage you to check-in to get a deal. and he’s cute ;)
