Literally the best thing I have ever eaten. Death by chee… se… fries. My life is complete. The best french fries in my entire city!

Just happened to run into this place. On a Sunday night, saw a black sign lit up in a median that said Fry and Pie with an arrow. Sounded interesting — had no idea what it was so thought we’d follow. It was a great idea! We came across a fence, heard people talking. It seemed to be Fry and Pie. We tried opening the gate, but it seemed locked, so we tried to find another entrance. We thought it was maybe through the bar next door, but that didn’t look right(though that is the actual way). So then we tried catching the attention of the people behind the fence. We were not giving up, and it worked! They let us in. It was a small but quaint and eclectic backyard with candles and seating. We grabbed a table and looked through the menu. Literally just fries and two pies on the menu. We had eaten A LOT so we thought we’d just have a small dessert. Both the samoas and elvis personal pies looked good and since we couldn’t pick between the two, we just got both at only $ 4 each. When I read personal pie, I thought like a personal pizza pie, but these are literally, like three inch mini mini pies. Just fine though because they are the perfect size. Both were AMAZING, but the Samoas was very rich. The Elvis was lighter. Loved the creamed peanut butter, so light and fluffy. After just a couple of bites of the Samoas and we were done, but we almost finished the Elvis. Nonetheless, it was amazing. Such a cute little find!

Solid desserts in a relaxed bohemian atmosphere make this a go to for anyone visiting this neighborhood. If you go, make sure to get the lush nut pie, it is warm and extra delicious. The service is wonderful, and the atmosphere can’t be matched. Make fry and pie a stop on your next trip to New Orleans.

The restaurant is an outdoor Tiki-esque courtyard attached to a very cool venue. Chef Nick Gile has created fresh cut fry dishes that are unbelievably creative and a combination of flavors that are so savory that you will want to eat like this everyday. The menu changes periodically to keep it fresh. The dessert, single serving(for 2) pies are also a absolute delight. I recommend this place for all!
