I called to make an appointment and was asked what department I was trying to reach. I was very confused. The person on the phone screamed back, «WHAT DEPARTMENT?» And I told them I was merely trying to make an appointment. They then transferred me to the automated appointment making system. She was so rude that I made an appointment elsewhere.

I had to get a new doctor because my insurance no longer covers my old one. I was introduced to Dr. French by my daughter who’s physician (she used to be in the same office) kept canceling her appointments at last minute. After the third cancellation, my daughter was very upset and crying in the waiting room. The receptionist said there was one opening for Dr. French, a gynecologist but no longer an obstetrician, who will see her at that time. Dr French was professional, attentive, sympathetic, and explained everything to my daughter she needed to know. My daughter needed an OBGYN so she chose a different doctor altogether. She made such an impression on me, on that visit, that I decided she was the doctor for me. About one year ago I started having issues and options were given to me regarding my diagnosis. Because I’m no longer in my childbearing years, I decided a hysterectomy was the necessary option. Dr. French was my surgeon and I am now post-​op 8 weeks. Everything went exactly as planned and precisely as she explained it. I had a laparoscopic procedure which kept me only one night in the hospital. I’ve had absolutely no issues regarding recovery and my scars are barely noticeable. I certainly recommend Dr. French as a wonderful physician and skilled surgeon. That’s saying a lot being a medical professional myself.

I just moved to NOLA, and was searching for a new doctor. I went to Dr. French based upon other reviews I read on Unilocal.She was very personable and took the time to answer my questions. I was very satisfied with my visit, and I would highly recommend her if you are searching for a doctor. They are doing renovations to the hospital, so give yourself extra time to find your way.

I really like Dr. French’s office. It is in Ochsner uptown and the office is very updated and nice. The exam rooms are big and the whole office is just very clean and bright and nice. I’ve only been for an annual, but the MAs and nurses were very fast and friendly and overall everyone I interacted with is nice. I especially like Ochsner’s check in system — you check in downstairs a little bit early and do all of the financial part before your visit. Then the rooming process is much faster when you get to the actual office.
Dr. French is pretty straight to the point, but is friendly and doesn’t seem stressed or rushed. I will keep coming here because the office is organized and Dr. French is friendly and I liked talking with her. Also, they were able to get me a new patient appointment within one week which is pretty amazing.
