Friends and I were in search of good local music after the Saints season opener and stumbled upon this place and really glad we did. If you’re looking for something more authentic and local than Frenchmen this is it on Sundays. The owner, Raymond, promises live music every Sunday. We saw the 21^st Century Brass Band and they were great! Not sure what this bar was in the past, but it’s been nicely renovated. It’s non-​smoking inside but has a cute patio for those that smoke. Also, they offer food like fried chicken if you are hungry. This is definitely a neighborhood bar, but don’t be shy. Owner incredibly welcoming and the crowd has that chill vibe you can only find in a New Orleans neighborhood bar. For those wanting a real New Orleans music experience– this is it.
