Their PoBoys aren’t good. Service sucks & they refuse to make a shrimp and oyster PoBoy mixed on one sandwich. They’ll only do it half & half… not worth it. Read Seafood is right down the street! And you can actually sit down while waiting on your order

It’s always unconcerting when everyone that walks through the door is: «how much is this, how much is that?» Is that with tax or without tax? How about management just cut to the chase and put«EBTCARDSACCEPTEDHERE – NOMINIMUMPURCHASENEEDED!!!» It’s kind of like«we never close» here. Where they focus on quantity rather than quality. A person like me would do better at the Westwego seafood mart with a mini-sack of oysters for $ 20(¼), grab the grill & go to town with grilled oysters.

Everytime I go to this place I am always impressed by the freshness and the taste of the seafood. I was in New Orleans over the 4th of July weekend and I thought I would try a different place for my seafood called Casanet when I got home my shrimp was bad as well as my crabs. My food was packed very well for the trip… I did not make that mistake this time I went and got my seafood at Cajun seafood and the crabs were outstanding the poboys were outstanding and the crawfish were amazing so I will always make Caju. Seafood my stop for seafood when I return to New Orleans

Random New Orleans thing where Cajun food is prepared by traditional Asian restaurants. This place is basically like a converted Mini Mart. You can have booked seafood, shrimp, turkey necks, corn, crawfish potatoes. Or you can have beef and broccoli, Kung Pao etc. People who are not from here will be confused by this place but the food is very good. Great quick stop. All the boiled food will be very spicy. FYI

The food is normally great but today I got crawfish and found that they were not purged but instead looked as though they were cooked with mud and dirt on them. Maybe they are rushing to compensate for long lines. I’ve been coming here since they opened and am so disappointed. I would post a pic but it’s truly embarrassing for them so instead I’ll just say DOBETTER!

This is the place for standard seafood is the places on Haynes are closed. What I like most about this place is that they are truthful. You can ask them when they got the crabs and they will tell you. They let you know if they are previously frozen. I have had fresh, fried and boiled seafood from there and have never had issues with freshness or taste. They are also very efficient with dealing with the lines you get on a nice Sunday afternoon or Friday night.

When i first walked in it smelled pretty good. I began to look over the menu and the cashier right away asked if he could take my order. I told him to give me a moment to look over the menu. As i looked i asked him what were some of the items on the menu. He had a hard time explaining what some of the items where and looked at me crazy. I ordered the simple fried catfish and shrimp. They had no chairs so i had to stand to wait for my order. It took about 15 minutes to become ready. Thats kind of awhile to stand there waiting. The fish and shrimp were good(not great) and fresh tasting(very fishy tasting). The salad that came with the meal was not a salad it was shredded lettuce topped with pickles and a tomato… The shrimp fried rice it came with was good.

Great, fresh seafood. The moment you pull in the parking lot you can tell you went to the right place. They have all of the favorite cajun foods and the«locals» definitely buy there food there. Parking lot was busy and the food was fresh. The only downside is that they don’t take AMEX cards(My corporate travel card). Other than that it’s only carry out and no place to sit and eat. Enjoy!

Visiting New Orleans and read the reviews on this place … Decided to go as it was within walking distance of my hotel. This is NOT an eat-in place. More like a convenient store that sells some amazing food. They’ve got boiled shrimp that are larger than the law should allow, boiled crab and huge crab legs and the crawfish… EXCELLENT. It was perfectly seasoned to allow for the taste of the crawfish and some heat but not overdone where you are just eating super hot seasoning with a crawfish flavor to it. They also have hot, fried items: seafood platters, boudin balls, etc. It definitely lived up to the reviews. Great food.

This is not an eat in place. So 4 out of 6 of us in our vacation group still think this was the best food in New Orleans. Looks like a local place. Pig Feet, Turkey necks, sausages, cajun fixins! They even had chinesse food for the one picky person on our trip and she said«this is the best chicken ive had» coming from her thats a winner!

I kind of swear by Adams Street Grocery po boys, because you can get decent po boys for very cheap. But I had a friend in town and we were planning on getting po boys for dinner, and Adams Street isn’t open for dinner, so I was thinking Parkway. But K told me to check out Cajun Seafood, especially if we are getting seafood po boys. I decided to listen to my wise boyfriend who is allergic to all shellfish and give this place a try. Lol. My friend J and I walk in and even though it was really early for dinner on a Sunday the place was quite busy. Maybe everyone was trying to grab some food and go back to their houses and watch football. There were two lines – boiled seafood and fresh seafood. I wasn’t sure where I should line up for po boys, so I just lined up behind everybody for boiled seafood. I had to wait for a while but I got to the front of the line and said I wanted to order po boys and they told me I could have gone to the other line. Oh well. Next time. I was skeptical and found myself comparing prices to Adams Street. But we were already there, so I went ahead and ordered a shrimp po boy. J got the fried catfish po boy, which he enjoyed very much. I too enjoyed my shrimp po boy immensely. I don’t know if it was just a placebo effect because I was told that their seafood is good, but I felt like the shrimp was much more plump than in any other shrimp po boy I had recently. I will definitely be back here for a shrimp po boy. And maybe I’ll try some of their boiled seafood when my sister is in town.

I am a connoisseur of ALLTHINGSCRAWFISH… and while this CAJUNS is not my 1st choice, it does ok to come in 5th. The crawfish were nicely flavored, not too spicy where you’re sucking on ice after sucking each head & not too bland where you’re reaching for the Tony Chachere’s, #IJS. The corn, turkey-necks and pig feet are prepackaged, so to speak. I guess to be more expeditious while filling orders, the staff has pre-bagged those items. Not a bad Idea, I guess, but for me I like to have my pig feet, turkey necks and corn sitting in the juicy juices, yeahhhhhh baby!!! This day in particular, this Cajun’s restaurant’s crawfish were about .50 cent cheaper that one of the others that I frequent & the line wasn’t too long either. As at other Cajun restaurants there’s a line for cooked seafood & a line for the food that has to be prepared. All in all this place was there for me in a time of crawfish-feining, I got my fix & i was good!!!

I’ve never had the boiled seafood here but it looks and smells incredible. During crawfish season there are incredibly long lines, so they must be doing something right. I’ve only had the poboys here and they’re pretty delicious. They use Leidenhemer’s bread and do not skimp on ingredients. The shrimp poboy is is always filled to the brim with shrimp. The place clearly fries the shrimp to order and has a great breading that doesn’t get too soggy after awhile. Generous portion sizes, too!

Some of the best boiled seafood I have ever had awaited me here at Cajun Seafood. This place also makes a mean po boy, chicken wings and meat pies. The prices here are some of the best around for boiled seafood.

Turkey Necks, Chicken Wings, Meat Pies, Expertly seasoned crab, crawfish, and shrimp, it’s like I died and went to Cajun Heaven with all this yummy food. I especially like the idea of the huge coolers with a variety of drinks to choose from so you don’t have to be limited to just the Coke varieties.

Slow customers in front of me but fast service from Cajun Seafood. The crawfish was spot on and was only $ 3.50/lb. The only downside is they have tons of room for some tables and chairs but don’t have any. I would have loved to have just sat in there and chowed down on some crawfish. The crawfish wasn’t as clean as I’d prefer it to be but the seasoning and spice was spot on.

Pretty good. I prefer the original location on Washington Ave but this place is pretty good but you have to be careful that the food may be cold because it has been sitting for a while. Can’t go round with the boiled seafood and the sandwiches are ok I prefer Read seafood which is a few blocks down.

Usually I only try the wings from here, but recently I had to have a po-boy in my life. It was yummy. They were using leidenheimer french bread, it was soo fresh, I enjoyed my turkey sandwich; although they did forget to add my swiss cheese. The location is clean moderately efficient and reasonably priced. Right off the interstate so easy to get to and from.

The boil crawfish is really good here! I was surprised. Perfectly seasoned and not too spicy! Get some of that and pair it with some boiled corn. Yumm!
