I visited from LA and yesterday purchased the egg, bacon, oatmeal, and hash browns along with a coffee and a steak and egg sandwich. The clerk, a twenty something Hispanic, rang me up at $ 21 dollars and some change without a receipt. I looked at the items later that day and realized that this clerk had overcharged me by $ 10. The next day I went in and attempted to purchase the same items, and lo and behold, upon questioning the clerk gave the correct prices. I told him today that I wanted credit for the ten dollars that he overcharged me for the day before, and he denied stealing from me, thief and liar that he is. He assaulted me and almost struck me in the store. I asked the police to file a report on this and I would make a citizen’s arrest, but they declined to do so based on the theory that it happened too long ago.(24 hrs.) I was advised not to patronize the store. He got away with it. The owner seemed oblivious to the fact that his employee is a petty thief. Do not shop here.

Ok it’s a convenient store… but they do have almost everything you ever need in here. The guys that work in here are pretty cool after you have been in here a bunch of times. The old man is funny once you joke with him. If you are short something in the house and need it quick, Brown Derby probably has it. Milk, Bread, Most canned items. Pretty much everything a college student eats is in this place.(Ramen Heaven) They also have a deli full of assorted meats ready to carve and a fried selection of chicken, meat pies, corn dogs and whatnot to your liking. Selection of beer and wine is plentiful. So as such the candy bins. They even stock items like the emergency TP rolls for that not running Walmart just yet, sort of day. If you think the seem to come off brash. You would too if you stay in here long enough and see what they have to deal with from some patrons. Always on their toes. However they do keep this place stocked and extremely clean. Just joke with them and they will joke and smile back.

Terrible service. There are one or two guys who work there who are friendly enough but most of the staff acts like you’re imposing on them if you say hello. And yes, they often smoke in the store.

This place opened up in the neighborhood. So I went and checked it out. The customer service was alright. It seemed the norm of what you would expect in a deli/gas station. I really didn’t go in expecting a blow away greeting. The prices here were average. It wasn’t the cheapest place but it wasn’t the most expensive. They did have some cheap junk food items though like honey buns, muffins and other things that are bad for you. The selection was alright. They had deli goods like choice cut meats, pigs feet, turkey necks and some other stuff that a lot of other people wouldn’t eat. They had fresh vegetables for sale. There was an assortment of other dried foods and canned foods as well. In short this place is alright, but not the best around.

This is a brand new gas station(Exxon at the moment) and convenience store. The space is super clean(as it should be since it’s brand new). The gas station portion is well lit. Do not confuse this with the Original Brown Derby which is across Jeff Davis from this location and sells hot plates. I do wonder if they are affiliated or all appropriating a traditional name.
