I’ve had two massages now from Kristy and she is fantastic! She does both an excellent relaxation massage and a deep tissue massage (which is helpful for my chronic back and shoulder pain). She is very friendly, talented, and professional. I would recommend her to anyone and I am very picky about massage therapists. I used to get cheap massages from a massage therapy school and I had different therapists each time, so I knew who I liked and who I didn’t.

Kristin does incredible massages. Really relaxing and helped with my lower back pain. Recommended!

I arrived to see Shannon at Body Bistro with my hair in a total state of disarray. After subsequent dyeing and straightening, my once beautiful (and vastly under appreciated curls) had become frizzed up, burnt waves. I told her to cut off as much as she needed just to regain my curls. While I had initially arrived with the groupon offer, Shannon recommended I try Olaplex a new treatment that would restore my damaged hair. I am of course typically skeptical of these «miracle cures,» but I was desperate and nostalgic for my previous natural hair and paid the extra $ 30. By the end of the treatment and haircut, my hair was back to its beautiful ringlets that I had not seen in years. Not to mention that my hair was once again soft and untangled. I left feeling ecstatic with a tinge of uncertainty about whether it would last. However, its been a week, I have washed my hair twice since then and all it takes it a drop of product and I have my beautiful curls that look even better with the amazing haircut that Shannon gave me. I now have a 10 minute hair routine every morning and absolutely love it. Shannon truly understands meeting a client’s needs and helping them as she said «work with what they’ve got.» She also did my eyebrows which I’m extremely particular about and did an amazing job. This will definitely become my go-​to salon.

Loved my new haircut I got from Shannon! Just moved to town and had to groupon a new hairstylist, it was very affordable at $ 32.
Right off the bat Shannon was warm and welcoming. She knows what she’s doing because she explained step by step how she was layering my hair to put my mind at ease. That was great because no other hairdresser I went to bothered to explain the haircut like this!
Great service, could not be happier with my haircut, she was a miracle worker with my dry frizzed out curly ends! Will definitely be returning and recommending her to anyone in the Uptown area. Shannon is fantastic!

I literally just got my haircut today hours ago and I eagerly got on to review this place, so if that doesn’t say it all… you just have to try it out for ourselves!
Anyway, I got a Groupon for a haircut by Shannon and usually I don’t spend more than $ 15 – 20 on a haircut (call me cheap but I’m a broke college student) but I haven’t gotten my haircut in more than a year, and it was terrible so I figured I’d splurge and see a professional stylist.
Shannon did wonders on my hair. The haircut was not only a haircut, but also a wash, joiba (sp?) treatment, cut and blow dry. For the Groupon price of $ 32 it was a steal, but I’ll be happily coming back to pay the $ 50 it usually is.
She listened to what I wanted, but still gave her input. She was honest with me about what looked good and what did not, and spent more than the hour that I was allotted to give me the perfect haircut! I could not be happier and will definitely be coming back!

I used to frequent this spa for eyebrow waxing. They acquired a new wax that didn’t cut it. When I got home I had to tweeze where they waxed…

Had a back issue and went there for a massage, Krissy worked on me and the service really helped. I would certainly go there again.

i wait a few days after a haircut to really assess it. it’s not fair to judge when you’re freshly blown out with the right products making your hair look extra cute.
shannon cut my hair on a friday. the next night i showered, barely combed it, went to bed with it wet and somehow, miracle of miracles, it looks good! i haven’t so much as brushed or combed it since waking, and it STILL looks good.
i’m not entirely sure how this is possible. i am sure it’s the sign of an excellent hair cut.
she assessed how much effort i put into styling (little to none) and, since i recently relocated here, gave me good advice on what to do with my hair type in the humidity. she even helped me out with several suggestions for my growing-​out bangs.
i’ll be back at body bistro in the future to try more of their services!

Love getting my hair cut and styled by Shannon. She takes a no-​nonsense approach and has you looking fabulous. I only get my hair cut once or twice a year (yeah, I know), and I reserve it as a day where I can go in with a baseball hat and unwashed hair (what joy for the stylist!)…but, she gets it! She consistently does a quality job, not just styling for aesthetics, but taking the time to snip off all the split ends. I love that she assesses your commitment level. For me, that translates to creating the right layers and length that looks good without the blow dryer.
I’ve seen fancier, more stylish people here, too, looking for the perfect sculpted and precision cuts (that does require maintenance/​care), and she delivers in that arena as well.

Had a massage from Kristin yesterday and it was amazing. Relaxation is what I needed and I walked out feeling rejuvenated. Not to mention the professionalism and hospitality. It is so easy too, just go to their website and book online for an extra discount.

Great place! I had an excellent massage recently from Megan. She worked out the kinks from head to toe, literally. Also was there another time and had a massage from Katie which was good as well. I definitely recommend to anyone who needs some occasional R&R, you’ll feel amazing afterwards.

Their waxes are a rip off. The woman is sweet as candy but is not certified or trained in any professional way. I paid 108 for half leg and Brazilian bikini — and that was with a 20% first time discount. She claimed the wax prices are the reason for the high service prices, except that the wax she used is the same wax I used to buy to wax myself. I could buy the same wax kit at Sally’s for less than what I paid for my wax. This was NOT a high quality wax at all.

I used to frequent the «chop shop» mani/​pedi places here in New Orleans. After finding the Body Bistro, I will never go anywhere else. This is a full service spa and salon with every service you could imagine. I personally like the mani/​pedi services and the massage services. The mani lasts two weeks on me and the pedi lasts 4. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend checking it out.

This place is locally owned & totally AMAZING! In town with a film crew and we only had Sunday off… Shannon and September (the sister team of owners) accommodated our bizarre schedule. Amber is a massage therapist and as far as I’m concerned gifted HEALER! These camera guys are spoiled when it comes to massages & everyone rated her as one of the best they’ve ever had-​LOVED IT HERE!!!
