I have always loved Beachcorner, but this weekend sucked. We had a 5 person to go order. The very unpleasant lady behind the counter didn’t read that the order was to go. She was pissed! She started slamming stuff around. Due to some food allergies, we couldn’t fix her mistakes in the different temperature burgers. Y’all really need to bring in some friendly staff.

Just speaking from a servers perspective the 3 ladies working the bar at the time of this review are amazing, I’ve found the service in New Orleans to be at a snails pace but these ladies are fast efficient and at tracking there work from all angles just saying

My «go-​to» burger spot in the city. Burgers cooked to order on the grill and seasoned well. Reasonable prices. I recommend the bacon cheeseburger (medium well or well done) dressed ! The staff are friendly, always greets me by name. Good bar atmosphere (pool tables, slot machines, touchtunes music machine)

Truly the Best Burger in town 10oz. ! The Grilled Chicken Breast is also awesome,
it is a whopping 8 ounce !
I get these with the house Hickory Sauce… Heaven !
The order of fries are huge for sharing, love their onion rings !
Instead of a happy HOUR, they have a happy DAY, 11am– 7pm DAILY !!!
Gotta go… getting hungary !

The burgers are really good but the staff consistently looks/​seems like they hate being there — really would a smile hurt???

Good late night greasy ass burgers with cheese and jalapenos if you want. Decent draught beer selection and video poker machines.
The night I came the place was empty and I parked right in front.
The bartender was sweet and friendly to us and our order of drunk grub came quick.
No smoking means a much better dining experience.

Ah beach corner you have redeemed yourself. Tried tuna again last night it was excellent.

Best burgers in town, in my opinion. Far better than Port Of Call. I always seem to have good luck on the pool tables in this place. It’s one of my favorite spots to for burgers & drinks.

Stopped in for a burger after a brief Happy Thursday ride and to catch the second half of the football game. Was strange to see how empty the place was but a friend and I sat at the bar and ordered blue cheese burgers. The burgers here are huge and you don’t need fries or a side item unless you are extremely hungry. Very good quality meat but a little on the bland side, it doesn’t have the good smokey grilled taste like Yo Mamma et al. I got the blue cheese burger and that made up for the lack of meat flavor as they gave us plenty of blue cheese to enjoy. $ 3 draft miller light is a bit high but the burger price of under $ 10 is worth it.

My spot! I eat a burger here once a week. They are seasoned well, very large and thick. Hand made cheap burgers. The fries are for two if you order those. Open late with 2 pool tables. I enjoy chillin here. Best burgers in town.

No stars. Horrible service. This woman was such an asshole. Unbelievable. She didn’t even greet when we walked in. Nothing. Just unbelievable wow.

We took the streetcar and hopped off the last stop. It was starting to pour and walked inside the restaurant.
Food: Ordered the spicy meat pies, and hickory smoked cheddar burger. Both were good, and favorite were the meat pies, they did not last long.
Service: You place your meal and drink order at bar, the service was fast
Ambiance: Loud and noisy, full of people when we were there, everyone was having a good time including our group

Finally found an excuse to venture into this place and now it’s my go-​to hamburger spot in Mid-​city! I actually called in the order for two burgers over the phone and sent my husband over. A couple of local Twitter folks were talking about it as a good burger spot, and all the talk made me hungry.
The burger patties were really big which is my number one requirement on the great burger list. Another is cost… The total for the two burgers was just under $ 16. However, I could have saved $ 3 if I would have used my own lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and cheese. Something to think about if this becomes a habit.
I’m fine with phoning in my order. My husband said that the interior was quirky and filled with video poker machines. I’m into quirky but not the latter. Ever since we moved to Lakeview, I’ve been missing Yo Mama’s so I’m excited to have this awesome burger at my finger tips. Plus it’s cheaper, and they don’t force you to get a baked potato! This is one of those times that Twitter comes in handy.

I was mad craving a burger yesterday. Something juicy and thick to sink my teeth into. So I spent a couple of hours on Unilocal and various other foodie sites, drooling over pictures and descriptions before finally settling on this place.
So I called them up and placed my to go order. 15 minutes later, I pulled up to a refreshing meat-​grilling-​over-​open-​flames smell coming from the bar. My taste buds are doing back flips at this point and I can’t swallow my drool fast enough.
So needless to say, I eagerly tear open the boxes of food I received to sample their burger and onion rings. A bite later, I was left wondering where that smell came from.
Burger was obviously not grilled over an open flame. It had good flavor (thanks Tony’s) but wasn’t tender and moist. Disappointed. It was big but I easily finished the entire burger in one sitting (was hoping to eat half of it for dinner.)
Onion rings were pretty forgettable. Agree with the other Unilocaler who said the rings were overcooked.
Also everything was frozen food. I know that it’s a bar but honestly, I was expecting some freshness. Some good quality ingredients when other reviews claim this place serves the best burgers in Mid-​City, scratch that, in New Orleans. And this place definitely falls very short on that.
$ 14 for their burger and rings. For that price, you can get a better quality burger at Phil’s Grill and know that it’s actually beef you’re munching on…

What a surprisingly great place! I went here after having a few drinks because I was STARVING and this was definitely the place to be. Its 100% neighborhood bar, diverse crowd, close to a cemetery so you know all the things needed to make a pretty good eats place. Am I Right? The location is pretty big even with booths to eat, long bar, and a pool section. So no complains of feeling like I’m going to suffocate and can’t breathe. Although smoking is allowed it wasn’t too smoking but I went at the 9pm/​10pm range so not sure how smoky it gets later in the evening.
The food was so good! I had to try the crispy queso sticks… They just may be my favorite new appetizer. It was like eating queso and chips but fried into greatness. If nothing else you need to go there and try those SERIOUS. Later I had the Hickory Cheddar Burger which was HUGE and pretty great. Flavorful great BBQ just great in every way. I loved this burger and it will definitely leave you full for a very long time. My friend also ordered the bacon cheese fries with ranch sauce that was just so cheesy greatness… So much bacon. It was that type of item you know is unhealthy for you but you can’t resist it anyways because everything about it was good. Also, the prices are EXTREMELY reasonable for the good stuff you get. I will definitely visit this place again.
Looking for a low-​key experience, a good burger, quiet location with near-​by parking this is definitely the place for you.

Bar, tables, pool, video poker, several TV’s like a good sport’s bar. You order and pick up your food from the bar, staff is friendly.
Now for the good part: THE BURGERS. They are massive, juicy, fully loaded and cooked to your liking. I’ve had the mushroom swiss and the bacon cheeseburger and the toppings were more than enough to also sprinkle on my side of fries.
A tasty burger and cold beer in a casual atmosphere will continue to bring me back.

Ok, I took off a star because my favorite burger joints are Snug Harbor (tastes the same as Port O Call with nicer ambience), Cowbell, Camellia Grill (Uptown), etc. but this was a darned good burger!
I’ve passed this place a million times and never came in. But my bestie was hankering for a burger and he had heard good things about this joint. Since my bestie is my food guru before I found Unilocal I trust his judgement. So we came for lunch on the weekend and there were a few people here. The bartender was very nice and efficient. I explored the place and besides the huge bar there are pool tables and a nice outside seating.
Now back to the food, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious! Such a thick, juicy burger and I was in the happy place. My bestie ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and enjoyed it as well. For once we didn’t try each other’s food, probably because we were really into our burgers! We also shared the bacon and bleu cheese fries and they were tasty too!
Overall I really enjoyed the burgers and they were reasonably priced! Next time I would probably get the food to go or eat on the patio because I have trouble being around smoke.
