Best Chinese… sesame chicken is to die. CRABRANGOONS. And their egg drop soup rivals Moon Wok’s…so good. Prompt and friendly service. Ur average cheap, to-go Chinese prices for higher than average quality. 100⁄100 A+

BUFFETBARLUNCHSPECIALS From Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm you can select One Side(fried rice or lo mein) plus One Entrée for $ 5.75 or One Side plus Two Entrée for $ 7.25 ($ 1.50 more). There are approximately 10 entrees to choose from. Today we went with the Kung Pao Chicken, and Shrimp with Vegetables along with their Lo Mein. The Lo Mein was not overly saucy and seasoned; the Kung Pao chicken was proportionate with the crunchy roasted peanuts plus chopped chicken; and the other selection was a generous allotment of LA whole shrimps In addition to a medley of vegetables. Next time we’ll try the Sweet and Sour Chicken(spicy) and maybe sample the Bourbon Chicken. You would be pretty hard pressed to do better for local quality, quantity, selection, and for the price elsewhere, especially for a luncheon with two entrees of several choices. Just think you can eat two different entrees for five lucky days without ever repeating yourself. No it’s not Imperial quality Chinese food. It’s quick, decent and affordable Chinese American grub for lunch. Don’t try to make more out of this than what it is for the budget minded student and frugal diners like us.

This little restaurant is out by UNO at the same complex where Rouses is. It’s pretty typical American-Chinese fast food so there’s really nothing to praise or get excited about. What is nice though are the daily lunch specials. Basically you get a giant amount of decent food that you can easily share with another person for great value. The person behind the counter is also very nice and they often try to work as fast as possible as it does get really busy with a lineup during lunch time. I definitely like coming here as it is convenient and I don’t typically like to eat sandwiches or super fried foods all the time and this place as good veggie options too.

I probably don’t know what good Chinese food really is, but I do know this is not it. Greasy fried rice. Egg rolls with a taste of cinnamon? Szechuan chicken that’s sweet instead of spicy? Maybe I decided to get take out from this place on an off day. But I’ll surely consider another spot the next time I think I need Chinese.

It is what it is — A better than average Chinese fast food restaurant. Much better than any I have found in my area. My wife and I ordered Garlic Chicken, Shrimp with bean curd, and fried scallops — all of which were very good. Portions are large enough to make two meals, the prices are decent, there are a lot of items on the menu, and the service was fast. We will be going back!

Asian Panda is tucked out of the way in the Rouse’s shopping center on the corner of Lean C. Simon and Franklin Ave. My husband and I tried them out a couple of months ago and the food was great. We are both foodies and love trying new restaurants. The only problem we had the first time was there was no buffet. Since then we have visited a couple of Chinese buffet restaurants around New Orleans and Asian Panda is by far a better value and better quality food for you money. It has a small dining area and is not fancy by any means but the food makes up for it. The prices on the dinner plates are perfect even if you are on a limited budget. Two people can eat for under $ 20.00 and have enough food to bring home for a second meal. I always get the Shrimp and Garlic sauce and my husband either gets the Mandarin Chicken or the Sesame chicken. These dinner plates come with pork fried rice and a large eggroll for $ 7.00. You can’t beat that! The portions are HUGE and so are the shrimp. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Chinese cuisine. They also deliver which is a bonus but I don’t think the portions with takeout are as big as when you eat in. All in all great food, great service and great price. Yeah I am a fan!

LLLLOOOVVVVVEEEEE the Hunan Chicken. I always order it extra spicy. I seriously could eat here 6 days a week. The waiter doesn’t even ask for my order anymore, he knows exactly what I want as soon as he sees me. My husband always orders the Phoenix and Dragon. He never liked the onions so he finally got smart and ordered it without and now he loves it. The ONLY downfall is that their egg drop soup is the thick broth kind :/blah. I love the thin broth.

I started coming here because it’s conveniently located next to Rouse’s … so it’s cool to kill two birds with one stone. Stock up on Diet Cherry 7-UP and order some awesome Chinese food. My order is for the«sesame chicken» every time I go there. I know I should probably be a little more adventurous and try something else, but it’s just so damn good. I even experimented with the«sesame chicken» from at least three other Chinese restaurants around the area and I was always totally and completely disappointed. The chicken from The Asian Panda is always perfectly crispy and tasty … while the chicken from other joints just seems gristly, rubbery and soggy by comparison. You also get a lot of food for your money. The dinner combinations always come with«pork fried rice» and an egg roll and I usually get two servings out of my meals. Seriously, even though there is another Chinese joint closer to my house … I’ll be driving right past it on the way to The Asian Panda because it’s just so much better.

Best service ever! The waiter is extremely nice to us, and the price is very reasonable. Definitely a must try place for a Chinese food lover.
