If you are from New Orleans and remember Lawrence Bakery Mr. Wedding Cake on Elysian Fields then you know that they were on of the first with cream cheese king cake. Adrian’s has their recipes and is still one of the best king cakes in New Orleans. They even have one without all that white icing similar to McKenzie old school cakes. If you can put up with the horrible service you can get a great king cake.

Love the king cakes here, but $ 20 for a medium is no fun!. They have all flavor fillings and even a supreme King cakes with all fillings in my cake.

Adrian’s have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I ordered a cake 2 months in advance, and my cake wasn’t ready on time. Not only was it not ready it was decorated wrong. Plus the cake was stale. I was told by the Baker that she didn’t know what design I wanted. I received no phone call letting me know this information prior to picking up my cake. Upon arriving to pick up the cake I was told that they needed an extra hour to finish my cake. The only reason I got the cake was because it was for my son’s first birthday party. I will never go to Adrian’s Bakery again nor will I ever refer them to anyone else to use. I paid too much for the wrong cake and poor customer service.

I ordered on Monday morning before Mardi Gras and was able to pick up a custom made King Cake that night by 5 pm. It was fresh and by far the best King Cake I’ve ever had. My friends and guests simply couldn’t stop eating until it was gone! Adrian’s service was excellent as they took my order over the phone and checked to make sure they could fulfill the order without making any false promises! I’ll definitely order from them again.

1st downfall, although its name is on the marquis, the storefront lacks proper signage to identify it. So in the vast parking lot that is shared by other retail establishments it’s a bit unsettling trying to find the bakery. 2nd downfall, once I locate it, I amble inside & as expected, 1st impression, it has the look & smell of a bakery, cool beans. But as I near the register, I am disappointed to see the cashier entertaining & holding a small child, while she neglected to address my needs. A 2nd young lady walks up & assists me with my selection(sugar free king cake). I must shamefully admit although the appearance of the cake was less than desirable, I purchased it anyway, looks can be deceiving & because my granny so desired. But as I exited, I knew this was my last time there, sugar free king cake or not. Oh btw, granny says the sugar free king cake wasn’t all that great; I’m not surprised.

Horrible Horrible, Horrible, service!!! When you walk in and if another customer is being served they don’t even acknowledge you. Cakes that are custom ordered are out in the open and not in a cooler which makes them dry and stale. I watch flies fly around in the glass case over their cookies. This place has really decline from when the business first open and to think I have ordered several cakes from them in the past. They lost this customer!

One of the best king cake places in the city, great cinnamon rolls and yummy donuts… just go early for the donuts… they sell out quickly on the weekends.

They would have gotten a 5 from me except the service is not up to par! The apple fritters and other pastries are great, including king cakes and cinnamon rolls. However, the staff is not pleasant at all.
