I wouldn’t recommend going here. I felt pain in my ankle while doing yoga and didn’t want to ignore it so I went to see Dr. Tabari. My first visit I waited for over an hour and due to lack of seating was standing the last 20 mins of my wait.. . probably the last place you should have to stand while waiting is a podiatrist. Once in the room Tabari failed to introduce himself and went straight for an X-ray and immediately made me feel uncomfortable. He told me I had arthritis in my feet and gave me a prescription for expensive medication that even with the coupon he provided was over $ 100 with insurance. I also got an MRI and when I went to get the results he not only was late(booked first appointment to avoid an hour wait and he arrived 30 minutes late like it was just another day) told me I had fractured my ankle and my options were surgery, a cast or removable brace with psychical therapy. Once I went to physical therapy they noticed I wasn’t experiencing any issues and wasn’t in pain and suggested I get a second opinion. I called an orthopedic surgeon and got an appointment in. By the time I had the appointment I had worn the boot for four weeks in addition to physical therapy. It made living in New York incredibly hard to live in and hard to get anything done since I was told to stay off my foot. I brought all of my records including Tabari’s notes and the orthopedic surgeon said where my fracture was that the bone had already healed itself but where it was located bone would never grow and that the boot was useless to wear, she also looked at my scans and said there was no sign of arthritis. So I took medication I didn’t need, lost work I could have done not in the boot and wear a boot for over a month. Do not go to him, he does not know what he is doing and does not care about your health or well being.
