Geez Louise could Annie be any more wonderful? She gave me a Somme sit down and helped me find the perfect wine. We had dessert that paired wonderfully, and all of the staff was incredibly attentive. Whether it’s wine or mixers the drinks at wine 34 are exquisite, and the food hits the spot!

Went here for the first time last night and was not disappointed. I had the hangar steak with the truffle fries and was blown away by how juicy and flavorful the meat was(Truffle fries are hard to go wrong with). The service was attentive and pleasant, and they were helpful with their wine pairing suggestions. Definitely will be back.

Wine:34 just opened a few weeks ago, much to my excitement, as my boyfriend lives right across the street. It’s definitely already the coolest restaurant on the block. Not totally sure how I feel about the ambiance, though. The lighting, with its circular panels, is definitely unique, but we thought it was a little bright in there. And the décor is a little haphazard. Still, it’s a trendy, intimate atmosphere. Everything was delicious here, but the portions are pretty small. We started with a glass of wine/beer. I had a Merlot, which at $ 10 was the cheapest red you could get. It was really good, but the pour wasn’t really sufficient. My boyfriend’s Chimay White came out in an interesting glass. We later switched to cocktails(all $ 14), which I thought were worthy of a spot on the menu at a cocktail bar. The Empire State of Mind(Jalapeño Infused Tequila, Aperol, St. Germain, Lime Juice) was good, but heavy on the Aperol, so too bitter for me. I thought the Saving Grace(Bourbon, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Angostra Bitters, Mint), however, was perfect. Very balanced, very good ingredients. We also had some bites: Tuna Tartare(With Avocado, Seaweed & Lattice Cut Potato Chips), which was notable for the sesame oil, and a cheese and charcuterie plate with Goat Tomme, Pecorino di Vino, and Truffled Soppresata. The plate was served with honey and some other things. All good, but the pecorino was my favorite of the two cheeses, and the soppresata was one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. I’ll end on this note: As I was doing a google search for Wine:34, the first automatic suggestion to pop up was«Wine 34NYC». The second was«Wine 34 weeks pregnant».

Very cute restaurant, very nice ambiance. Place was empty when I went with my boyfriend but service was good. We had to ask for bread, it was not warm(I’m not sure if you have to ask for bread to be warmed). we ordered the tuna tartar which was pretty good and we each got the black truffle ravioli. It was rather overpriced. $ 22 for black truffle ravioli that only comes with 4 pieces. Even though the dish was good, we were still hungry afterwards.

The good people of Wine:30 have a new location a few blocks east. It has the same great selection of wines, beers, and food, but a bit of a different look and feel. Just opened, but looking forward to seeing what develops here.
