This is a cute little singles spot with an easy door, friendly staff and pretty good food for the price. The problem? THISISNOT A SPORTSBAR. One Thursday night I was there with two guys: one wanted NYK, one wanted NYR. They could not(would not?) show either. Instead there were muted talk shows on behind the bar and house policy is the rest of the TVs stay off during the week. So if you want to catch a game on a weeknight, you can’t do it here. Let’s just call this place what it is — a meat market that is easier to get into than W&N across the street.

Nice little«upscale» bar, loud like a dive but clean, good service, and a more interesting menu. The burger was really good, but my husband’s wings were a bit soggy. My drink was fine, but not memorable.

Very good for watching the game. A local spot. Service is excellent. Clean bathrooms and snacks are 100%. Really really like this spot for a quick drink and pre dinner snack. Dinner menu is not that big. But it’s more of a bar scene. Great apps. I highly reccommend bbq chicken pizza. :)

BESTBURGEREVER!!! Not to mention the sweet potato fries with aioli sauce was ridic! This place doesn’t have a great overall rating but it should! I flew in NYC Monday and came here to get some food and drinks and watch MNF. We had a great time; it’s more of an upscale sports bar with great food!!! I wish I lived there it would be a once a week occasion!(good looking people here too

Came here once. Did not have food here but had two drinks. I went on Sept 6th with a friend around 10:30PM and will say that if you are single this is the place to be. It’s small with two big tvs and music to spare — catchy top hits stuff. I saw several waves of crowds come in and out of the bar during the 2 – 3 hours I stayed there with my friend. –First were those going to the clubs nearby –Second were those looking to hookup –Third were the second but more drunk and have either found their fun for the night or still seeking that one person they’d take home. Dress here is slightly more dressed up than casual to cocktail attire. Cons: –Long wait for the bar and bathroom. Have your patience ready. –And here’s the big one — KEEPYOURRECEIPTS. Or pay cash only. I cannot stress this enough. A friend of mine who worked in bars warned me of this and the Windsor, I’m sad to say, is proof that they will charge you more than you tipped. No one seems to want to pick up the phone the The Windsor either to discuss this either.

Love this place. Very rare to find a classy non-spelly sports bar in NYC. It’s the only sport bar i’ll go to with my girlfriends and they actually enjoy it. The food is great for a bar and the banquettes and super comfortable. It’s like sitting at home. The cucumber drink is delicious and I love the cobb salad. Very good experience over all and a perfect local bar.

I came by for some food at the bar and had a disappointing experience. My friend and I ordered wings for starter and steak sandwiches for mains with a portion of fries. The food took a long time and when it finally came out, it all came at the same time wings and mains together. Along with that the bartender neglected to tell us there were fries with the sandwiches so we had far too much food. The wings were very tasty, but the sandwiches were very average. Won’t be going back because of this. There are so many great bars and restaurants in the area I’d rather go to instead

The place is super loud and reminds me of boston college bars. There’s a mix of yuppies and nyu green horns. It can be quite douchy sometimes. The girls for some reason are over dressed. It’s an EASY spot to pick up easy chicks. Thats just the damn truth. Beers are cold. Games are always on. Service is beyond SLOW. Just go order your drinks at the bar.

I’m surprised the reviews aren’t better. Can definitely vouch for a lot of the things I’m reading — LOTS of guys, preppy and they should remove the high top tables in the middle of the bar to make more room. This place gets PACKED on the weekends and it could be a little annoying. Being an east sider through and through, it takes a lot to get me to the west side, but the Windsor is definitely a big enough reason to go!

As I walked into Windsor for a third time in as many weeks, I thought it was time to get down to the point on why my friends keep choosing Windsor. So I walked in and immediately questioned the main culprit in this decision making, my friend Dan. What follows is the exact conversation. Me: Why do you keep choosing this overcrowded bar full of douche-bags? Dan: Because this place also has hot chicky-babes. We look around. Me: Nope. Dan: Well usually they are hot, just not now. Me: Any other reasons? Dan: It’s classy. I point out different pieces of the bar that are falling apart or held together by electrical tape. Dan again concedes that he may be overambitious with the«classy» call. Me: I love their pigs in a blanket, but the food is nothing to write home about. The beer list is limited(very). The bartenders seem miffed when I order a drink. Please tell me one redeeming quality. Dan: I live half a block away. One thing I will say, the bouncer is extremely courteous when he could be a dick.

I didn’t actually have a chance to experience this place very long because it was so crowded that I couldn’t get to the bar. It’s in a great location though and it looked really fun. I’ll try to check it out next time I’m in the West Village.

Went for Friday evening drinks and had a «high top» table in bar area. Athough very busy, the wait staff was great and even the hostess helped out to be sure we had drinks, food etc. All staff also had a positive attitude and were really nice. will definitly go back.

I used to love this bar so much more, but as time has gone on and the word has caught on its become almost impossible to get a drink or stand in the bar. Lots of dudes on any given nite Drinks are priced at $ 10 would be better if the tables in the bar area were removed after a certain time as it is hard to navigate to the bar and find a spot to gather w friends Good on weekends to watch a game. Tables come with individual tv’s

Wow… this experience sucked… all because of one person. As I was walking up to the bar I saw a man in all black looking at someone’s ID(maybe his friends?) so naturally I dug through my purse to find mine and hand it his way. His response was«Uh, I’m definitely not a door man». I profusely apologize and moved into the bar to find my friends. 3 minutes later he shows up behind the bar servicing people. This ticked me off because it’s one thing if you’re at the bar hanging out with your friends and I was demanding you wait on me. It’s a whole different thing to have someone assume you work at the bar and you do… but just not in that position. Who knew bartenders were soooo much more important than doormen. Whatever. So I continue to be polite and ask him for a drink. I start a tab… things get worse. My friend goes up for a 007… he doesn’t know what that is. She tries to get something else and he blows her off and say«I’m servicing someone else right now». Like really dude, you aren’t even a knowledgeable bartender get the stick out of your ass. When I went up to close out 2 drinks later he said I couldn’t because there was a 40 dollar minimum. I show him the receipt of my friend who closed out at $ 22 minutes before me. He said she was allowed because he messed up her drink… which isn’t even true. So overall… BEWARE the bartender here is psychotic and rude. And the crowd is douche bag paradise(not in an attractive way). Never again.

The Windsor is prime hunting ground on Thursday nights for the well dressed prep boys of NYC(if you’re into that sort of prey). The bar was packed and filled with the 21 – 35 year old crowd and I’d say the ratio of men to women is definitely in my favor! The signature cocktail menu has some pretty interesting names such as the Porn Star Martini and Stripper Juice. I went ahead with the Porn Star Martini because Stripper Juice just gives me too strong of a visual that I just can’t ignore. Food menu looks pretty appetizing for a bar menu. They have items such as fried pickles, prosciutto mac&cheese, tuna tartar and pigs in a blanket so it’s a good variety if you’re in the mood for something sophisticated or something greasy. And yeah, this isn’t a real sports bar… unless you consider counting how many Wall Street boys you can cram into a small space a sport.

A few of us dropped in here after Monday night’s Unilocal event. It’s a nice spot for a cocktail on a Monday night. Small beer menu but having Chimay Red as an option gets some props from me. Decent looking cocktail list that looks like was made up by a former strip club owner. With drinks such as the Sloney Pony, Porn Star Martini, and the awesomely named Stripper Juice they offer up some fun libations here. Small pub menu offering many bar standards such as sliders, pigs in a blanket, burgers, hanger steak frites, fish & chips, salads, and some desserts. It’s actually a bit above pub fare, and the fried pickles with ranch dressing we munched on were pretty decent. Not a really big place but has a lot of seating at high tables and booths with flatscreen tv’s to watch a game. Nice looking spot that tries to be a bit classy by having the doorman/bouncer lead you to a seat when we strolled in. Definitely seems like this place can be a hookup spot for the ladies as it was a sausagefest in here!

I dig this place — not sure what all the hate is about. Went in for brunch/bowl watching on NY Day. Service was good, food was yummy, atmosphere was casual but social. Tasty tasty burger, will try the pot pie next time. My friend said the Bloody M was good too. Ended up staying through brunch, coffee and a few beers, made some friends, mostly had fun with everyone around us. Waitress was adorable. It got crowded but not unbearable, and we were RIGHT by the bar which was the real issue. Ladies — this may be a better version of Wilfie and Nell — lots of boys, minus the predatory look you see in their eyes once in a while on a Thursday night. :) You know what I mean. I wouldn’t suggest wearing stilettos in here though, you’ll look silly and end up leaving. We saw that once or twice while we sat there in our beanies. Gentlemen — plenty of TVs, beers and girls who like to watch sports. You’re welcome.

I’m not as in love with it as I am Wilfie & Nell, but I think the Windsor is a solid spot. Ladies, if you have a thing for good looking, well-dressed men… GOHERE. It’s literally a sausage fest and you’re bound to find something to drool over. It can get just as crowded as Wilfie, but that’s ok… the vibe here is extremely friendly and laid-back too. I ended up giving some random girl drunken advice on how to handle the bad feedback she just got at her job last time I was here… in the bathroom. I keep reading about how this gets mistaken for a sports bar??? Having TVs in place does not a sports bar make. A place to catch glimpses of the game while drinking with friends and eyeing that hottie in a suit… yes.

«Reunited…and it feels so good!» The best part about NY, well aside from it being fabulous… is that since I’ve been here, I’ve been able to catch up with everyone. It’s like, «welcome to NY and let’s go have the time of our lives.» Uh, sign me up! I met up with a gf of mine, who I haven’t seen in years, here. We had the best time. We talked the entire time, drank a bunch of yummy martinis/cocktails, whatever. Shared some sliders and tuna tartar and just had a blast. We came during HH and the place was packed. The crowd is mostly FiDi(Financial District), who happen to live in W. Village. Such a perfect place, super cute. Apparently, this is a «sports bar,» but I didn’t see any televisions. Perhaps, that’s because we were so focused on our conversation that we hardly noticed anyone around us. After a few hours, we left.

I had a ton of fun here. I usually frequent Diablo Royale down the street or Wilfie & Nell… but I have to say, this is a new spot for me. I walked in here randomly on New Years Eve around 1am and had a great time. Found some friends of mine from my time back in Beijing and we all danced for what seemed like hours and hours on the back tables. The bartender was super cool, very nice. The management is really cool, spoke with a bunch of the wait staff and they were über friendly. The doorman is also quite a character, very attentive, friendly and talkative. I have to reserve a table one day for a game. It just seems like a great place to watch a game as they have a solid collection of TVs.
