I love Wimpy’s… My 5 yr old can’t pass by without getting a slice of pizza.

Wimpy’s never disappoints! Whether I pick up or order delivery there is always swift service (likely because it is around the corner from me! Lol)
As no frills as the East Harlem burger joint may be, the food is always tasty. I usually get the cheeseburger platter ($ 7) and sometimes ‘splurge’ for a milkshake.

They don’t read correctly they made the wrong order all the time .

I love this place! These guys are friendly, and the food is delicious and cheap. It isn’t fancy — it’s a great local little burger joint that serves other good food, too. I often have the two beef tacos with everything — unique and yummy.

Burgers are Great, Grilled Chicken Sandwich is Amazing and their Pancakes and Home Fries are Awesome. This Place is A MUST for anytime of the day, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

I moved to the area a few months ago, And since I order from wimpys at least once a week.
It’s a Really good burger in a very reasonably priced.
So If you are hungry and want to grab something quick to eat and still be sure that you eating something good.

Moved into the area after visiting periodically for the past 2 years. With such a variety of restaurants and foodie establishments within the area, I just knew there had to be what I call a «hole-​in-​the-​wall-​Hidden-​Treasure». After venturing through the all mighty Unilocal,I discovered Wimpy’s. I decided to go ahead and give this joint a whirl.
After my third visit I’ve come to the conclusion that I have definitely hit the jackpot. The burgers are most definitely a bang for buck bargain. Not only are they massive, they also taste great. Each time I’ve been I notice everyone order’s everything, not just the burgers. I need to step outside of the burger world and give other items a try as well.
The worker’s are always friendly and faster than you would think. I’ll most likely be coming here for many more food ventures!

Lets start with an old adage; «If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people.» With that posted, lets cut to the core. Wimpy’s isn’t McDonalds, it isn’t Wendy’s, nor is it White Castle.
It’s a dive, and as a dive it’s filled with tired workers, great food, and zero comfort to enjoy food inside. However, for me, that’s exactly what you ask for. This isn’t a restaurant, nor is it trying to be, its the purist definition of a «burger Joint». You go in, ask for a 7oz burg and be on your way.
Is it cheap? considerably, are the burgers huge? very much so, don’t expect quantity over quality here, its a good burger for cheap in Spanish Harlem. It’s quiet, small, and fast. If you’re expecting something five star, you clearly can’t read or are pretentious to a fault.
In a place where there’s a Little Ceasars and a Subway about 5 blocks away, it stands out if you want a burger. I’ve never been a fan of eating a thousand of something so White Castle was always a last resort. Wimpys is just the right amount of burger for the price with little hassle.
Why not a five star? well I’ve had better from dinners around the area, and with diners come atmosphere, very much a catch 22. Regardless Wimpy is a classic.

The burgers are a nice size and juicy and because there handmade they sometimes fall apart but there still delicious.

For the prices here, the food is pretty great quality. This one is seriously half a minute from my apartment, which is evil, because their burgers are amazing. I’m not a huge fan of the pizza, but the vegetable one is really fresh tasting and loaded with veggies for less than $ 5 per slice.
I think the staff is nice, kind and reliable. I just tend to order out or pick up, because the place is small, and there isn’t a great place to sit and eat. Other than that, i love this place. The meatball sub is pretty delicious as well.

This place is a bit of a guilty pleasure. If you want a cheap and tasty burger with fries then this is a good place to go. It is by no means exceptional and the burgers aren’t always very consistent — sometimes the patty is thick and juicy, other times it is thin and dry. Overall though I would say this is a worthy place to go if you want to clog your arteries… just be sure to make up for it with a good workout.

The food is not spectacular but it is well done and the service is quick, they deliver, and the prices are more than fair. Stick with the pizza and the burgers though, I didn’t care much for the other items on the menu, but I will be getting more acquainted with this place, since they are so close to the office.

Three large slices of pizza (equivalent to a large pizza at other pizzerias) for a mere $ 8. The pizza is not spectacular in any way, but it is functional and very affordably priced. Stick with the plain or the pepperoni, as I found the sausage to be a little vile. Their menu goes beyond pizza though. They offer up breakfast sandwiches, gyros, burgers, etc. All of the fast food American fare that is bad for you basically. Over all, it’s a bargain even for East Harlem, so it’s worth a look for a late night bite or for the early riser.

Wimpy’s is evil… only because they opened up their newest location very, very close to where I live. When I first moved to NYC, I lived in Washington Heights and they had a location there. Let me just say… the addiction began! So, every day, when I would go home, I saw the construction of their latest location right nearby… my heart skipped a beat… I knew there would be trouble…
Their burgers are made to order, flame-​broiled goodness. Not to mention, fast delivery and the PRICES ARE LOW. I mean low… forget about Pop Burger, Shake Shake and Five Guys… this place probably tops them. just for the simple fact that they do not skimp on ANYTHING and that a 7oz burger with everything costs less than a burger with nada at the other aforementioned spots. I also really love their Cheese steaks and gyros… quite good and they are generous with the fixin’s
Anyway, service is top notch. it’s like family there. Their employees do not have a high turnover, so they know what you want before you even get there. Delivery is fast and food is hot. Wimpy’s will be the downfall of me not getting my bikini body for the summer… but you know what? I forgive them :)
