On a Saturday morning, I stopped at this location for breakfast. It was pretty empty. Normal ‘wichcraft menu. I had the egg and cheese croissant plus bacon. The bacon made this an $ 11 sandwich, which is insane being that you could get the same thing from a street cart for three bucks. I will say, it was in the top three breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Super flaky croissants. Perfect fried eggs. Sweet bacon. The portion was pretty large too. So, you know, splurge maybe?

Last month, I had wichcraft cater a two day work meeting — 2 breakfasts and a lunch. This was my first experience with them, and it will definitely be my last. The presentation and quality of food were pretty disappointing. I had originally ordered their«light breakfast» for both days, but after seeing what it consisted of, I decided to modify the order for the next day — the bagels were rock hard, the pastries dry and the fruit was just bits of pineapple with pomegranate seeds sprinkled throughout. Everything was haphazardly thrown together on cheap plastic trays and we were given regular sized dinner plates to serve the food on – smaller plates would have been better. The second day was slightly better. This time I opted for their breakfast sandwiches, which were pretty good but the same sad pastry assortment and fruit salad. I also decided to get 20 servings of greek yogurt and their housemade granola– what a joke! I was expecting cute little ready to go parfaits, but instead got 20 cheap plastic pint size tupperware containers half full of plain yogurt, and two little dishes of granola on the side. It would have been better had they sent the yogurt in one big bowl with little bowls on the side. Lunch was okay– the sandwiches were okay but again, the presentation was awful. The only positive was thing was that the staff was friendly and helpful with last minute changes.

Very solid sandwich shop. A bit pricy but quite tasty.

I just had a terrible egg and cheese bagel from here. The frisee greens were far from fresh(possibly expired) and the egg tasted really weird(not sure how to else describe it– maybe it was also expired or sitting out?). They also are not vegetarian friendly w their menu. If you want a egg and cheese, you have to order a bacon egg and cheese, and they charge the same price(~8 $) w or w out the bacon. They don’t offer a substitute. Also what kind of restaurant doesn’t carry any hot sauce?

Ordered turkey sandwich; ingredients had very homogenous flavors with low to non-existent contrast, meat fairly dry, good ciabatta bread

I’ve wanted to visit this place for a long long long time. We got the roast beef with pickled kohlrabi, watercress & caper parmesan aioli on ciabatta roll. Only if the ciabatta roll was toasted! I’m not a fan of cold breads. Anyways, the flavor was great, good and interesting combinations! the kohlrabi is pickled, texture like chinese radish and tasted like pickles.

I really like this place. I only discovered it one day when I had a taste for tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. I’ve ordered it from them countless times since then. There’s something about the soup that just doesn’t seem to be the same as other restaurants. It’s heartier and the shredded cheese is a great touch, and it always comes piping hot. Not to mention, their grissinis are also really good. As an added bonus, the staff is super quick(though I can only speak for orders placed for delivery). Delivery has always been prompt and the very few times there were any potential issues with my order, someone called to resolve them ASAP. Good job.

I ordered the goat cheese sandwich and fruit salad through Seamless. The sandwich was okay, but there was LONGBROWNHAIR in my fruit salad. So nasty and unsanitary. Not just one hair either. I completely lost my appetite and threw everything away. Don’t order anything from them– who the hell knows what’s going on in their kitchen.

I ordered a café au lait(coffee + steamed milk) here, and I think it might have been the worst coffee I’ve ever had. The taste was a mix of dirt, burnt, slight acidic, and more dirt. I literally could not take more than 2 sips and had to throw it away, breaking my stingy cheapass heart. I added a star because the sandwiches looked delicious! But notice how no one around you is getting coffee…

4 stars for their cream’wich cookies. I was just going to get coffee, but the cashier looked at me straight in the eye and said, «Get the cookies. You. will. not. regret.» Can’t say no when someone makes a bold promise like that. The cookies(«cream’wich») come in chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter and something else. My cookies, thin and chewy, broke off smoothly with the cream filling. The cream(cinnamon base?) wasn’t overwhelming at all. A perfect 3pm pick-me-up snack!

The coffee was scalding hot, they left no room for cream, and it took them fifteen minutes to make one damn breakfast sandwich, and no, they weren’t busy. What part of «you’re making me late for work» do you not understand?

besides the amazing mighty leaf tea — try the bombay chai(warm, sweet fruits — overall tender taste with a think dark fruit aroma) or green tea, this place has really good lunch options: ½ soup ½ sandwich for under $ 10.00. The tomato soup has parmesan and basil while the chicken salad sandwich is filling and not overloaded with mayonnaise. ½ off teas and coffee from 3−6pm! Plus, upbeat and helpful employees. Only con is the limited seating — my friends and I came here for lunch and we needed to «assemble» a spot for the 4 of us. Not good for groups — at all.

I can’t help it. I love ‘wichcraft. I have loved it ever since I first tried the marinated white anchovy sandwich back in 2008 or so. Back then you could get that sandwich every day. Many a happy lunch was spent enjoying it’s savory, salty, sour-y goodness. Unfortunately, around 2010 ‘wichcraft discontinued the sandwich and I was heartbroken. Sure, I went back to try some of their other sandwiches. I even liked most of them: the heritage smoked ham, the chickpea hummus, and roasted turkey. And then ‘wichcraft, in an act of infinite mercy, brought back the marinated white anchovy sandwich! It is only available on Mondays, but it is available, which is the important part. The other sandwich whose availability is lacking is the BLT. However, that is due to ‘wichcraft’s commitment to using only the tomatoes that are in season, so it’s only available from end of July to end of September. Which is now. So go eat one. Also, in this particular location I found the service to be super friendly and helpful, which is always a plus. TL;DR: The marinated white anchovy and BLT are the best.

My chocolate scone was alright and the pomegranate ice tea was yum as well. It is pricey overall, but the space is comfortable for groups to sit and chat without the staff kicking us out. My photography class used this space for an intro and critique with no issues. The staff member did keep walking over to our corner to charge their phones. Note to management: Your staff needs power outlets in the back to charge their phones, please accommodate this basic need. It will increase employee morale AND not disturb your customers.

I had the goat cheese and pole-caught tuna sandwiches. The goat cheese sandwich is nothing special. Skip it. On the other hand, the pole-caught tuna is delicious. However, considering that there are plenty of good sandwich places all over new york, this one is just mediocre and the price is definitely on the high side. The average cost of a sandwich with tax is $ 11 — which is a lot for a sandwich so I expect better quality.

Over the past week or so, I’ve been ordering in more than I had probably in my entire time living in New York. Staying at my friend’s place in the Financial District meant for battling to get through the holiday crowds at the WTC Memorial Exhibit, plus it was cold, and I hate mornings and yeah, yeah, I’m making excuses for abject laziness, but there you have it. Yesterday was New Year’s Day and I was resolved to actually go out in the morning and buy coffee but like most resolutions… broken before I even got started. Hey, it was a holiday, I can start today, right? Wichcraft delivered me two 16 oz piping hot Americanos(take *that,* Aroma Espresso Bar) with a cup of steamed soy milk on the side and a more than decent chickpea sandwich within the promised time of about 45 minutes. A really tasty, light breakfast, the sandwich has a smattering of marinated veggies and chickpeas on perfectly fresh sourdough bread. It’s very lemony, perhaps a touch too lemony, but with the addition of some salt, it’s AOK. I like that all this stuff isn’t piled on to excess(and to mess). A very delicate assemblage. It ain’t cheap by any stretch(20 bucks for 2 coffees and a sandwich, including tip), but I’m more than willing to pay more for quality and good customer service.

I came here for lunch this past weekend with my aunt, cousin and boyfriend. I ordered the roasted squash, parsnip & beets salad. It was delicious. Really the perfect salad. It was filling even though it has one of the lower calorie counts on the menu(PS — I love that they have the calorie counts on the menu). My boyfriend ordered the heritage smoked ham & cheddar sandwich. He was still hungry after it but I would have been too, considering how dinky it looked next to my salad even! This place is definitely geared towards females/those who care about their figures. My boyfriend was not too pleased with it but he did seem to enjoy his sandwich. This is a good spot for lunch, especially on a leisurely weekend day. I would come back here with my family or grab sandwiches to go to bring to my grandma.

My favourite place to have my breafkfast and lunch whenever I am in Tribeca. I have tried oatmeal, toast and bagels as part of breakfast. Everything is nice specially the oatmeal and toast. They have really comfortable seating and ambience. In the morning it is fun to see small kids having breakfast with their parents before going to school or day care. This is my second favourite wichcraft, first being the one at Bryant Park. I really like the pole caught tuna sandwich.

Decided to order in from here since I wanted PBJ and it was on my company’s tab. First, it took an hour and a half. I couldn’t even call the place to find out what was up because they route you to an unanswered call service. Second, my PBJ wasn’t that good. There was also a hair in the jelly(so much for the A rating from NYC). I pulled the hair out and kept eating. It just wasn’t very good. Nowhere near my gourmet chef skills of taking two pieces of bread and putting some pb and then some jelly between them. idk, maybe it was the bread, or the pb,.the jelly was not good… maybe the hair just ruined it for me… Also ordered the egg sandwich. gross, threw it out. something was not quite right about this establishment.
