I just spent almost an hour in here with a laundry list of things I needed for my boss for a showroom light fixture. Frank was amazing and literally went above and beyond to answer all my annoying questions and to look through his stock to find exactly what I needed. Not only did he do all that but he also ordered whatever wasn’t in stock so that we wouldn’t be left empty handed. I was surprised to see a mom and pop shop on 5th avenue but wow. I can say I am truly impressed. Frank is amazing!!! Everyone else is lovely too. Stellar customer service. Thank you so much!

I purchased a window plastic seal kit from Whitey’s, it ended up being defective. I took it back today, explained the situation and they solved it. Great customer service. I will definitely continue to shop there! They care about their customers and have a great selection of products.

I received a bunch of paint samples, the guy helping me was fantastic.
I came in the next day to get another paint sample, someone else (heavier with a buzz cut) was helping me this time and when the paint was done shaking and mixing up, he told me to go to the machine and just lift up the glass.
Really?! You want me to lift up the glass and operate the machine to release the paint on my own? This guy was so lazy, he didn’t want to walk around the counter to do his own job. Then he handed it to me, I practically had to beg him for a plastic bag.

I find the staff here to be rude and willing to give wrong information rather than say «I don’t know». Shopping here is unpleasant and becomes costly & frustrating when you end up with the wrong product after attempting to determine that it was what you were looking for.

So far, I’ve been here three times, all for Benjamin Moore paints — their customer service and selection is impeccable, and their prices are very competitive.
Even though I probably should have hired a pro, I decided to tackle all my apartment painting myself, but admittedly I had a lot of questions. All of their staff were courteous, friendly, and patient in answering all of my questions and providing advice for my projects. You can tell there’s a camaraderie amongst the employees here, and they genuinely enjoy their line of work and are very knowledgable in their fields.
To top it all off, their prices are the best in town — gallons of Benjamin Moore Aura line paints were priced about $ 10-​$ 15 cheaper than nearby competitors (and yes, I called/​shopped around!)
I’ll definitely be returning again when it’s time to paint my bedroom!
