They have disappeared with a bunch of my favorite dry cleaning items. Has anyone found them?! If so please contact me!!!

I wasn’t even going to give this place one star. Awful!!! My husbands business suits have been missing in action for weeks and weeks! And forget trying to call. They do not pick up at all and they have the wrong website address listed under their name. If our clothes are not returned to us this week-I will be contacting 311. My building management is not able to get intouch with anyone either. I don’t care if you are filing for chapter 11-it would still be better to get the clothes back even if you haven’t even opened the bag!!!

It’s been 5 weeks and I’m still waiting on my laundry… Whirld is a terrible laundromat, but not because they do a bad job cleaning clothes, it’s because they don’t actually clean clothes or return them for that matter. Just yesterday, one of the Whirld employees notified me that my bag of clothes had been found and inquired if I’d like them washed; because holding dirty laundry hostage is apparently a viable business model. And I won’t even get started on their customer service issues. I’ll be candid, I downloaded the Unilocal app just to let people know about what an awful business Whirld is, but this goes beyond a personal vendetta. There’s at least a dozen people in my building dealing with the same thing. Save yourself the unnecessary agony. As for you, Unilocal, not every place deserves a star. Just something to think about

Moved almost across the street from this place. I was a little afraid but brought them a white suit jacket with stains around collar and edges of sleeves. Two days later, i picked a brighter than ever jacket. $ 3.50 Amazing!

Update: Even though this business was fired from my building several weeks ago, they continue to harass me. Right after they were fired, several fraudulent charges appeared on my credit card that they had on file and I had to cancel the card.(I have no evidence that Whirld was responsible for this fraud, but it would not surprise me as this is one of the most unethical businesses I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with.) Even though I no longer use their service, Whirld has repeatedly called and e-mailed me, demanding that I give them another credit card number to keep in their file, citing some vague, unspecified«past due balance» they claim I owe. They are unable to provide any details. I checked my credit card statement and verified that I was charged for all dry cleaning orders. I assume they’re attempting to charge multiple times for items that were not cleaned/pressed properly and had to be sent back to be redone. Or this is just a lame attempt to scam me. Either way, I finally had to block their e-mails.

I moved into my new apartment in Jersey City, NJ(70 Greene) and Whirl was the primary dry cleaner. They have a person sitting at the front desk during normal hours so I thought it couldn’t be that bad, right? For the past few months: 1. They charged me the wrong price for a shirt several times because I didn’t notice it at first. Basically, they put the wrong tag on the shirt(to identify the type of service I want) and been charging me the wrong price. I didn’t catch it until later so it went on a few rounds. The thing is that I gave them 5 shirts per week and all my shirts should have the same service /price, not sure how they missed it. 2. Inconsistent in cleaning service. I had to send one of my shirts back to them because it was clean at all. The thing is that it was a white shirt so you can clearly notice it when it wasn’t clean. The quality check wasn’t happening. 3. They lost one of my fiancée’s pants a few months ago. They tried to locate but it has been unsuccessful(so I have been told). As of today, there has been no offer of credit or anything. I never get a call from them(and yes, they have my number. It is on my account!) or even an apology. They are never proactive on reaching out to resolve customer service issues(at least from my experience). I am still waiting to hear back. 4. They lost one of my pants, which I sent in to repair a button. I sent it in before the holidays and realized a few weeks ago that it has been missing. I inquired the front desk person several times. Again, one of those experience that I never get a call from them. I finally got a response saying that they have no record of receiving it so I asked the front desk person to have the manager to give me a call. That was 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting. Overall, the cleaning service is mediocre as best. The prices are a bit high($ 5 per a pair of pants plus tax). The customer service is horrible(lack of response and care). Their tracking ability is worst(losing items). Very disappointing with the service overall. If you can, stay away.

Arrrrgggh. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a third time, what am I still doing sending you my laundry??? Whirld is located in my apartment building, and there’s no question it’s convenient to leave clothes with them and come home a day or two later to them being cleaned and with the doormen. But this is just ridiculous. In February, my fiancé and I left a bag of dry cleaning with 20+ items. Normally they return within a few days, so after a week, we started to wonder. After two weeks, we emailed. After three weeks, we called, emailed, and just about had to knock down doors to get someone to respond to us. After a million and a half excuses, our dry cleaning was finally returned. No(sensible) explanation, no apology. For convenience, we hoped it was a one-time thing and continued sending Whirld our dry cleaning. BADIDEA. A few weeks ago, a bag of clothes(which I now itemize and count before sending) came back to us with a missing item. And again this week, ANOTHER missing item. I’m pretty pissed. They are unresponsive, irresponsible, and flat-out terrible. I should also mention that when we needed our bedspread cleaned awhile back, it came back with all the buttons broken/cracked/fallen-off and did not exactly look pretty. It was ironed but now at the right creases of the design. They may be located in our building, but as far as I can tell, I will not be using Whirld again. You’ve been warned!

This is an absolutely terrible place. I don’t know how they got into the lobby of Silver Towers. I started to use Whirld less and less after my white shirts came back with strange red spots and I had to return the shirts several times to remove the spots. I stopped using them completely after they destroyed my wife’s dress and the owner Richard Song refused to reimburse and eventually stopped returning my calls & email. This is one of the worst dry cleaners I ever dealt with. Don’t be fooled by their clean logo and website.
