This place is the sole reason I decided to make a Unilocal.Their chocolate bubble is out of this world. It’s like crack. You just keep drinking and soon you realize that you’re so full you can’t function. So yeah, I recommend that. Or their normal Bubble Black Tea. That’s good too. My friend tried their curry popcorn chicken and loved it, so give that a try. Everything they have looks pretty cool, and they have a bunch of interesting flavors. If you’re in the mood to try something new, it’s definitely a place you should check out. Don’t judge the aesthetic too harshly though, because its fucking crazy. One of Homer Simpson’s arms is broken. Just a head’s up. I stared it at for a solid five minutes because I was so confused.

I got the green tea smoothie, but the ice wasn’t crushed well. I complained, and they offered to make a new one for me free of charge. I guess they were annoyed or something because it was too crushed and foamy from mixing for too long. Seating is very limited, but I’m glad my friends and I were to grab a table next to Homer Simpson. I’m really not sure what that’s about but they should get rid of it. It’s in the way of an already crowded space. They can fit in another table for their customers.

I would like to try the mango pancake in the future. I only ordered the sausage which I hunky recommend. The place is clean and they have interesting bubble tea drinks(bubble because there are large tapioca in your drink). The sausage is good — even though it’s on the sweet side. The takoyaki is good but too much of the sauce — so ask it on the side. Also unlike in Japan, their takoyaki is mostly dough.

Make sure you check in on Unilocal for a free size upgrade when you pay for a medium price! Love their Passion fruit QQ and Passion fruit! I also tried the Garlic popcorn chicken and their spicy popcorn chicken. You can choose your level of sweetness from 0 – 100. They give boba and lychee together for the toppings. Passion fruit QQ tastes best when its 50 percent sugar and no ice. Passion fruit Is also good when its 50 percent sugar and no ice. I feel like the spicy popcorn chicken gets soggy very fast but its still good. 3.5÷5 stars Garlic popcorn chicken is too salty. I wish they didnt put alot of saltiness and it would taste better. However, it still tastes better than the spicy popcorn chicken. 4.5÷5 stars

Free upsize Unilocal checkin offer meant $ 1 off so I skipped the NYU/Village Access discounts for the whipped tiramisu with bubbles for $ 4.36(way too much ice, so choose one of their non-standard levels from the counter list). They surprisingly had EMV set up, and Flok tag, but the restroom was out of order.

Vivi bubble tea is located on 8th street near greenwich park. I typically go to the area for massage and a bubble tea goes well with a nice foot massage. They have a wide collection of both fruit and milk bubble teas. I have tried lychee, tirAmisu and chocolate hazelnut– loved them all. I typically go for 30% sugar. They also have some snacks– steamed dumplings, shrimp popcorn. Make for a decent quick snack. Prices are reasonable. Food decent.

I honestly only get one drink from Vivi, pudding milk tea. I was intrigued by this location since they served desserts and had a pretty spacious seating area. A friend and I stopped in here after dinner and I had been craving mango pancakes for the longest. That being said, they only had it on their menu, but not in store. I settled for a pudding milk tea, but the pudding wasn’t very good. My friend ordered the mango pudding, but it had more of a custard like consistency; I had thought it would be more of a jello like consistency. The light at the tables can be a little annoying, just saying.

Very bright, cartoon-decorated bubble tea place. You’ll find people grabbing the coveted table to sit with the plastic Simpsons statues. The bubble tea isn’t as good as say, Coco Tea, but it’s still very decent. They provide a lactose milk option, but it’s not obvious so it’s easy to miss(Coco Tea also uses lactose milk for all of its milk teas). Vivi also has some food options, which are nice for snacking. We ordered some popcorn chicken and takoyaki. It’s nothing special but does the job for a late night drunk food fix.

I got to NYU and my friends and I live in a nearby dorm. We literally hit this spot at least 3 – 4 times a week. So much fun! Every time we come, we get something new, and every single time we’ve loved it. I really love the chocolate milk tea and the peach ice jelly tea. The food is also so good! Its tiny snacks for a reasonable price, which is perfect after a night of drinking. The sausages and popcorn chicken are super yummy. Favorite place to come!

*** Standard boba place *** Like any other boba place, Vivi has a ton of menu items you can decide on. Decently priced and great seating area. Great quick service.

Popcorn chicken is decent — super salty though. The wait for the chicken was a bit long, considering what it was.

I still haven’t found a boba place in the city that gets the pearls right… they’re always a tiny bit too hard :(I want squishy tapioca pearls in my draaaank! Their flavors are standard, nothing special but nothing horrible either. I got the basil popcorn chicken and it was good but not as crispy as I had expected which was disappointing. This place is awesome though because it has the simpson family sitting at one of the tables, I don’t know why… but I love it. Walking by you’ll notice it from outside so maybe it’s like advertising(???) I think the fun atmosphere makes this place a 3 not a 2.

I like takoyaki but dislike the smell, and the several times I’ve been here it smells distinctly like takoyaki. Service is ok, definitely no smiles(not even the fake ones), but tables are clean enough and space is fairy large or at least not small. Had the macaroons which tasted grossly like butter, but didn’t try any of the bubble tea.

I’m normally not a big fan of Vivi’s — I don’t like how powdered their milk teas taste(similar to Kung Fu Tea). On occasion, I’ll have a flavored green tea at Vivi’s on 8th Avenue since it’s so close to my apartment. With that in mind, I kind of love this particular Vivi’s. For one, there’s plenty of space to sit. This is really not available at the other Vivi’s so already +1 point. The location is close to many trains and is a great spot to just sit and grab a drink or two. Another +1? There’s a bathroom! You have to ask for the key since apparently they lost a key recently and only have one but still. I LOVE bubble tea places with bathrooms.

Great bubble tea shop. Tea isn’t too sweat and bubbles are just right. Had the taro with bubble tea and pudding.

This is your standard bubble tea shop. Except that their décor is Simpsons themed. The cartoon characters not OJ. The bubbles is no way near the best but their tea is still very good. I’d compare them similarly to Chatime. They do sell food here which is a good or bad thing depending if you like overpriced Asian sausages. NOT A PUN. They do not do loyalty cards. They don’t have drink deal offers. But they are pretty close in the area where I frequent now so an extra star for that. Because let’s be real, I’m not trekking 4 more Manhattan blocks to grab Kung Fu tea which isn’t better. Can Gong Cha make a shop in West Village already? Sheesh. The customer service here is friendly. They will see me here for as long as I work in the area. FAN.

This is a fun place! Their bubble tea setup is excellent, and a wide range of options are available. They have the expected high-tech accouterments of the bubble tea shops that I’ve seen in California — your tea is robotically shaken and then heat-sealed to prevent spills. I stopped for the bubble tea, but will return for the food. Also, perhaps, a photo op. with Marge and Homer.
