This place has a brilliant upcharging scam. Nutella and bananas is a common order. If you ask for that, they recommend you get the«most popular» item on the menu– bananas, strawberries and Nutella. Also the most expensive at $ 12.50. Pretty genius.

so so good — it’s all about the crêpe batter and this place get its right! hands down the best crepes in the area — also a little more pricey than the rest, but I think well worth it!

It’s currently 9:12 and they were closing!!! I get it, sometimes Unilocal!Doesn’t have the time right, but their website says MIDNIGHT. I’ve had good experiences at all of their locations, but if a business is dishonest in any way I’m out.

For $ 9 it wasn’t worth it. I had the tomato basil mozzarella that was very bland and burnt. The young man preparing my crêpe did not wash his hands before making my crêpe and this was after he ate a strawberry that a young lady was cutting.

This place falls somewhere between three and four stars. I’m going on the lower end of that simply because of the lack of friendliness in this place. The cashier had quite an attitude and was not friendly, so much so that I was considering walking out and not ordering. My hunger got the best of me, so I stayed to order lunch. I ordered a crêpe with goat cheese, spinach, and basil for lunch(to go). The crêpe itself was pretty good, not the best I’ve had, and what didn’t help was the to-go packaging. When I arrived back in the office to eat it, the crêpe was sticking to the paper and it made eating it sort of difficult. Overall, this place is average but will do in a jiffy. There’s not much seating, making the carry out option the best option. Since this is the case, they need to find a better way to package their carry out.

Yum yum yum! I don’t know why it is so hard to find crepes in this area but thank goodness for here! Stopped here twice when seeing shows at Lincoln Center. Basic offerings(no special yummy French fillings like chestnut cream darn!!) for both sweet and savory. I’ve only done the sweet(Nutella and berries oh my!). Only downside is they are given to you in a paper cone for easy transport eating, but any fillings tend to fall down a bit. But really the delish factor is worth it if you’re craving a crêpe! Also this place is tiny so if it looks packed, try the seating downstairs once you pick up your crêpe.

Had wanted to visit this shop and was able to do it today for lunch! We shared a sweet crêpe and a savory crêpe. They were both great. We were advised which were their top sellers and then made our selection. We sat near the prep area and were able to watch them build our meal. Their seating area is small but the crepes were great

The restaurant is cute, but the crêpe taste is so simple and nothing special. I tried ham cheese crêpe so I don’t know about sweets crepes. however the crêpe texture is a little bit similar to pancake, very soft and guy. However with ham&cheese, I think it will taste better with crunchy crêpe type. Just my opinion. And it will be great if they can find the holder that doesn’t leak out the cheese grease.

Vive la Crêpe is very fun. The crepes are tasty and the staff are very pleasant. It’s not terribly large, but there is usually seating.

This place is a gold mine! Randomly stopped in for lunch since I was in the area and I was not disappointed. Especially after my last crêpe epic fail it was nice to be shown exactly how it’s done. I got the chicken pesto savory crêpe and my cousin got the prosciutto with potatoes in it. Ugh! Delicious and I was too full to get the sweet crepes but you better believe I will be back! Highly recommend.

I’ve visited Vive la Crêpe many times already and it never disappoints :) It’s a cute little store close to Columbus Circle and Lincoln Square and right across from Magnolia Bakery. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken and gruyère crêpe with pesto, tomato, and spinach(#9 on the savory crepes menu)! I wasn’t a big fan of savory crepes until I tried this. I’ve been meaning to try other savory crepes on the menu but it’s hard not to order the chicken and gruyère knowing how delicious and satisfying it is. I’ve tried a couple of the sweet crepes on the menu(dulce de leche or white chocolate with strawberry). While they’re pretty decent, they didn’t necessarily exceed my expectations for sweet crepes at that price.

Mixed berries and Nutella is where it’s at. Phenomenal. The fact that they have a rewards program makes it that much better. The egg and cheese crêpe was very eh. Definitely wouldn’t get that again. Their savory crepes are spectacular. Service is subpar at best.

My Phat Phoodie Breakfast continued with Breakfast #3… at Vive Le Crêpe. We ordered the #7 with raclette cheese, proscuitto and potatoes. And since I was planning on eating Breakfast #4 and #5 before moving on to lunch #1(all in one day…) we split the crêpe amongst three of us. Passing it around in circles each taking a bite a la smoking a joint style. Service was fast and prompt. Minus one star for minimal seating and no one actually coming around to wipe the tables after we’re done.

My friend and I wandered into this place on NYE as we were looking for something warm and fuzzy before the Midnight Run in Central Park. As most other places weren’t open in the evening of NYE, but this place was, we came in and I was pleasantly surprised. The girl behind the counter seemed very bored and didn’t get our whole order. Maybe her mind was elsewhere being it was NYE and all, but still. Had to go back up and get the coffee that I ordered. They have a nice variety of crepes, from the most basic, to more common Nutella crêpe, to just about any kind of gourmet goodness you could get inside a crêpe. We split the standard crêpe which was pretty delicious. Just the right amount of sugar and butter. And it came nicely wrapped up in case you needed it to go. The place is small, with a few tables upstairs and a few tables downstairs, and a bathroom downstairs. The place was clean and the décor was adorable. Definitely a good place to give a try if you need something on the go, or looking for some dessert.

I bumped into this place while walking to train. The aroma from the crepes sucked me in. I had to step into the tiny restaurant and see/smell what was going on in here. It’s a tiny location but there is seating. The crepes are made fresh and you are able to watch every step. The chef at the time was not too happy with me recording her while she made our crêpe but that’s understandable. The price is very high for a single crêpe but the texture was perfect, and the dulce and strawberries added the right amount of sweetness and they crepes themselves were rather large. I definately will be back and I will try a savory crêpe but I highly recommend adding strawberries and banaas to your crêpe if you plan on stopping by.

I had my usual(no. 4: spinach, mushroom, goat cheese, basil) along with coffee. Terrific coffee and when they put in cream, it’s frothy without being a cappuccino or latte. I have only gone to Soho location but wanted to walk a lot my last day here for 2 months(sniff, sniff). I am feeling nostalgic, having spent so much time on the UWS during years dancing. It’s so charming on Columbus from 65th to 75th. Sigh… It’s so hard to leave New York!

Simply outrageous. I am not able to comment on the crêpe because they charge so much money for a crêpe with Nutella(7.50) that I simply decided not to get one. A basic crêpe recipe contains flour, milk, butter, salt, water and eggs. If one would brake down the costs one crêpe is probably worth below 0.50. Charging 7.50 cannot be justified at all. Sorry, but this is a rip-off.

Although, I always seem to get lost getting to Columbus because Columbus, Broadway and Amsterdam get tricky in this area, I had a geographically savy friend direct me to Vive la Crêpe yesterday. I wanted to go back because I had tried it once last year and remembered the crepes being incredible. The ambiance is very welcoming and makes you feel like you are in a well decorated crêpe shop somewhere in Europe. However, it is very tiny and also feels like a hallway. Last night i tried a crêpe with strawberries, bananas and nutella. I don’t think they put in enough nutella though. The banana nutella crêpe includes more nutella which is disappointing. I will definitely be back to try the nutella hot chocolate and savory crepes! Overall, a great, cozy spot on the Upper West Side.

All crepes are around or under $ 10 and are made to order. 2 people work here at any given time and don’t expect your entire order to be ready at once(as they make them they’ll call your name). Options for sweet or savory. They have additional seating downstairs– or tiny two top tables along the wall. Great for a quick bite to eat.
