Dr. Barbazetto is great… but be careful with your copays. In my case, they mistakenly charged copays when they weren’t supposed to and they refused to refund it while they attempted to resubmit the claims and straighten it out. Four months later, I still don’t have the refund.

This is a 5 start facility with 5 star doctors. Just what you would expect in NYC. So, yes you may have to wait a bit past the time of your appointment. That usually annoys me, but these doctors are so thorough and caring, that they probably take much longer for each patient than they should, so eventually, they fall behind in the schedule. BTW, if you go in the morning, they are usually on time.

Let me qualify my rating: if you need surgery by one of these docs, I give them a 5++. However, if you are just going for routine care appointments, I highly recommend you go somewhere else. The staff here is AWFUL. In addition to making you wait forever for your appointment (even when it is first thing in the morning), they ALWAYS screw up and give the wrong tests. In addition, they have even screwed up billing sometimes, and to make matters worse, the staff is extremely rude.

A visit to the ER and a few exams later, I was told that I had a retinal tear and needed to get it repaired immediately. I was referred to VRM and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Cooney is brilliant, gentle, patient, and a terrific surgeon. I am a regular patient, and love this practice.
