Verizon Remote Testing-Platform

I am so tired of bitching about every place I go for either shitty food, bad customer service or just unprofessionalism. So I’ll keep it short and sweet.
My phone broke so they told me it would be replaced. They told me next day shipping at no extra charge guarantee by 3pm. wonderful!
I called to ask for address delivery change so it would come to my work. Verizon wireless told me (over customer care 800 line) it was actually 2 day shipping. Ok, its still alright. I still wanted it shipped at my work so I can immediately use it.
They tech rep told me false information or «outdated» information. Now I have a risk of my phone being shipped to work and not being able to use it all weekend until I come back into the office on monday. NOT cool
Now its friday night. Where is my package? They told me now its 7:30pm.
I am still at my work and believe me, I am writing a bad review for FedEx next…
If they just told me it was 2 day, I would have just said fine ship it to my home address. But now the false info they told me is costing me 5 days without phone service for a plan I am paying for
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT SO YOU TELL THE CUSTOMER WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW

I may have just gotten extremely lucky, but I had a great experience in this store!
I recently got my new phone via Verizon’s website. It being new and spiffy, I decided to get a cover for it. I was expecting Verizon only to have those stupid clip on belt cases which I hate. Sorry folks, but those just DON’T look good. In a city as crowded as ours, having something hanging off the side of your pants is just asking for trouble. Also, I don’t care what phone you have. So having it displayed for all to see is ridiculous. The point being that I wanted a case similar to an ipod plastic case that would protect my phone in my pocket/​bag/​etc. The website only had those stupid belt cases. I thought what the hell, I’ll try the store.
I get to the store (across from Bryant Park), and am greeted the moment I walk in the door. I tell the greeter that I’m looking for a case for my phone. She immediately paired me up with a customer service rep who knew exactly what I was looking for and took me directly to it! The prices weren’t too bad either. iPod cases can run between $ 20 – 30 which is OBSCENE. I was, however, expecting to pay that. Nope! $ 14! She told me to go ahead and browse and if I needed anything to come get her.
When I had picked a couple choices she even let me bust open the packaging and test it out before I decided which one I wanted! Once I was satisfied she immediately rang me up and sent me on my way. Entire visit was about 10 minutes.
Excellent service even thought the store was relatively busy! Thanks! Because of that I will probably make that Verizon my store of choice if I need anything else for my phone!

As a former Spr! nt PCS customer, I was used to getting abused whenever I had to deal with wireless phone store employees. However, wow, what a difference!
As you enter the store, you are greeted by a receptionist, who asks you what they can do to help. When you explain why you are there, she will enter your info into the system and direct you to the right section of the store.
Once there, the equally courteous employee calls your name – and everything is a smooth process. No stress whatsoever.
At Spr! nt PCS stores, cocky guys used to yell at me for no reason or ignore me completely – but, at Verizon, it is not the case because your request is entered right at the receptionist’s desk and there is no room for «abuse of power.»
Long story short – they said my phone was all defective and was under warranty. So I left the store with a new phone. I was very happy to have gone to this store.

One thing that I should point out about Verizon Wireless is that the service /​reception is fantastic. I haven’t had many problems ever since switching from my GSM carrier (T-​Mobile) a few years ago. It’s not this store’s fault that the CDMA phones are ugly and the layout of the place is confusing, but the customer service is all too consistent with the rest of the crappy stores.
Most of the folks that work here seem somewhat annoyed and overly impatient with most customers. Sure there are the few that flash a smile and exemplify politeness, but they’re also the few that don’t stay here long. I will resort to calling Verizon’s customer service at their call centers than even attempting to reach out to these hooligans with a job. I feel bad for the tourists who have to come here because its places like this that give New Yorkers a bad rap for terrible service.

Service is good. The phone service I mean. The people here could be mental. As if they WANT to make my day even weirder. I think all the people that go out for this job are like «ooh, I want to torture people!» I feel like if Jigsaw was a corporate employee, he would work at specifically THIS Verizon store. It doesn’t matter though… my complaints got my girl a brand new Pearl for $ 150. Hotness. F.U. Verizon.

So worthless… so miserably worthless.
This is a review for every verizon wireless store ive ever been to. Your customer service is HORRIBLE. They seriously must give IQ tests and if you score under a 50 you get the job.
Thank god the actual phone service is better than anything and you rarely need to use customer service bc the product is so good because if I had to deal with these people on a frequent basis I would shoot myself in the face. Yes, its that bad.

As we all know and experience, the wireless providers in the U.S. comprise the biggest mother lode of outdated technology, with poor customer service to boot. We still pay for incoming calls?!
Verizon Wireless is a willing participant in this mess. And it does so under the guise of commanding the best network quality in the business. Clunky handsets, unattractive calling plans, matter-​of-​fact customer service and lackluster showrooms are the stock in trade of Verizon and its peers. This midtown instance is no different. The walls are plastered with ugly handsets and you can choose to either i) subscribe to plans, ii) buy phones and accessories or iii) get technical support. Most of the personnel are from an outsourced vendor.
There is no added value to subscribing to a plan at the store – you could just as easily do that over the web. The only benefit to coming here is the ability to touch and feel the phones. You can also make a phone call or two using the handsets, if you have left yours home :) The accessories, well – the assortment is quite limited, and you can buy them at half the price on eBay. Lastly, the technical support is hit-​or-​miss. For any but the simple problems, you are asked to send the phone directly to Verizon Wireless.
All said, I am surprised that Verizon Wireless and its competition are able to get away with all this. This must be the biggest unspoken collusion in business.
