This is by far the best pharmacy in the area! The store is small and personal and they treat their customers like individuals without the corporate nonsense. The pharmacists know what they’re doing and will make sure you’re well taken care of!

I came to University Chemist to get my eye test for my driver’s license. It was super fast — I was in and out in probably ten minutes and only cost $ 10. I filled out my part of the form, they conducted the test, and that was it. They submitted the form online within the guidelines, and I got my new license in the mail a few weeks later. So much easier than going to the DMV and much cheaper than getting the eye test at a doctor’s office.

The only thing I find this place ANY use for, is to pay my Con Edison bill without any pesky fees. However, sometimes they aren’t even good for that — I have to call ahead to make sure the payment machine/system is working as I often get there and am told they can’t take payments that day. Shouldn’t there be a sign out front saying that so people don’t stand in line for twenty minutes only to be turned away?

Worse place ever. I came to fill a prescription, waited for over a half hour then for them to tell me «we can’t get ahold of your insurance company so you can just come back tomorrow because we are closing now». Unacceptable when you need medication and they think its okay to just turn you away because they want to close and go home?
