This place is a factory. I asked for a high fade and they send me to a guy about 75 year old that was reckless with the clippers. Went too high on the high fade and took off way too much than just a trim. I should have stuck with my tried and true regular place. I will NEVER return to this place.

Mixed feelings about this place. I’ve been here about 5 times. For a short trim. 2⁄5 times I left happy and the other 3 times i left disappointed and angry. I come here because it’s very convenient. But I won’t be returning. Marsha is good but she’s not always there when I need a trim. There’s these 2 asian ladies that work here and they are both really rude and fcked up my hair and said it was my fault they fxked up! Like really!!! How’s it my fault? One of them even said that my eyes aren’t straight. Whatever that means. How hard is it to do a trim! Esp when my hair is a straight cut shoulder length right now. If you can’t even do that you should not be a hair stylist. If someone can, please recommend a good place I can go to in Staten Island!

I’ve had good experiences with my haircuts, but the ladies who thread eyebrows they run on their own schedule. The hispanic lady, I don’t remember her name, told me that we women go too crazy about our eyebrows and that’s it’s not a big deal. Well I no longer trust her…

This is the only place I’ll ever go to get my eyebrows done. I highly recommend Idolina for eyebrow threading — she’s incredible. Before going about Unisex Palace, my eyebrows would always get messed up. But, I’ve been going to Unisex Palace for 2 years now and they always do a great job. Even one time when Idolina was not there, the woman who did my eyebrows(I didn’t catch her name) was great too. I highly recommend. I also get my hair cut there. They’re really great!

Not a good place for a men’s fade. Yes, they’re cheap($ 12), but you really get what you pay for — a choppy look and the stylists aren’t the nicest in the world. They also do not take credit/debit cards, so be prepared with cash if you decide to get your hair cut here.

Went to the mall for their advertised $ 30 perm and haircut. A big sign is outside of the shop — the sign is at least 4 feet tall. I asked the front desk for the perm and haircut special. She said to follow her. She stopped at least 3 women sitting on their behinds and asked them to do a perm. They all refused. Finally a less than lazy woman with a thick Russian accent decided to do the job. I told her I wanted gray rods throughout and would decide on a haircut once I saw how bushy my hair turned out after the perm. She then informed me it would be $ 15 more for a haircut. I told her to read the sign outside the store. She walked to the front and stared at it and told me she would do the perm for $ 25 no haircut. I was already washed when she delivered the news. SO I walked up to the front of the salon and told them I was getting the hell out of there and to inform their workers better about their prices. It was then the Russian Queen decided to do the job. I told the front desk she better not screw it up. She rolled my hair fine. She then tried to sell me a better perm. I told her the $ 30 one was just fine. I thought the process was going well until the rods came out. Once they did my hair was not curly. It was just a fuzz. This is because they are using old outdated solution and it did not take. Thank god a charged this adventure because I disputed the charge. Now I have six weeks until I find a reputable place to do a perm. I look like crap, feel like crap. These people are thieves.

Best place to get your eyebrows done on staten island. I get my hair cut, hair styling, eyebrows done at Unisex palace. Its $ 12 for wash and cut for men and women. You cant go wrong. My husband gets his haircuts here too. I have recommend so many people to this salon, but they are skeptical because the prices are cheap and the stylist might not have enough experience. That is completely not true both ladies do an amazing job on my hair that is complicated with clip in extensions and me being very picky. They do prom hair, communion hair, updos, down dos, half up half down does, EVERYTHING!!! Their full face price for threading is also amazing compared to other parts in the mall and outside of the mall to only $ 25! Highly recommend this salon! Conveniently located inside the mall next to Macys on the 2nd floor.

This Hair Salon is a gem on many levels. I should thank my former Hair Stylist for raising her prices and charging a la carte for every thing under the sun. This only proves that when one door closes, another door opens. Although there are no doors at Unisex Salon, it is located so conveniently adjacent to Macy’s on the upper level of the Staten Island Mall. An added plus: the salon is open for business 7 days a week. Lucky for me a colleague recommended the salon; I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. Wafa who now does my hair is amazing, she is a lovely woman besides being an expert Master Hair Stylist and makes me look like a movie star. The hair salon uses good professional salon products like Wella. Unisex Palace does not rip you off, their prices are reasonable and they would never dream of charging SEPARATE for a blow dry after a color service or a hair cut service. ALL is INCLUDED as it should be. These are professionals who COLOR, CUTANDBLOWDRY your hair and when you leave you are a finished product ready to rock and roll. What better advertisement could there be? Let me not forget honorable mention to the shampoo technicians who also do a great job and never get a drop of water on anywhere other than your hair. And they do EVERYONE’s hair; women, men, children’s hair and all ages are welcome. They are so nice and accomodating at the front desk. I saw some disabled people come in and they were treated with the highest respect and consideration. There is also a policy to fit everyone’s needs. It is both possible to make an appointment with a specific hairstylist or simply walk in and someone will surely be glad to do your hair. My only gripe is the bathrooms which could be cleaner, no mirror or paper towels and usually messy. But I guess the traffic being what it is makes it difficult and the clientele can be loud and out of control annoying and not very considerate of others.
