I am a fan of the ‘stop in the weirdest looking old man bar and see what happens’ move. This place seems like it would be somewhere else than Brooklyn — it is a bar attached to a large diner and is more open and spacious than most of the spots in the area. It has the feel of a smaller town place. It did not end up being an old man bar, per se, but it is definitely not pretentious or hip. There wasn’t too much to write home about. The service was acceptable, the beer was cold and priced like a beer.

Sports bar that doesn’t show all the NFL games? This should be called local pub or diner with a bar… I didn’t try the food, but thought I’d leave this tip

I love this place. My friends and I fondly refer to it as the hurricane bar because when they moved in with me after Sandy knocked their power out we ate here at least twice a day. The management and bartenders are friendly and treat us like family. It’s our go-to place. They consistently have good beer on tap and the food is great. It’s connected to a diner so there are about a million things on the menu. Their burgers are fantastic – huge and fresh and perfectly cooked – and last winter when it was brutally cold I practically lived on their meat lasagna, a fact which I’m afraid my waistline betrayed. I was here every weekend during March Madness and it’s a great place to watch a game with enough people to make it fun but not so many you can’t even sit down. Check it out. It’s not your typical bar but it’s a great place.

Enjoyed happy hour. One of my favorite wings and Long Island iced tea in Brooklyn Heights for happy hour. The waiter was very helpful. The only thing that I was disappoint in is that they don’t give you celery and carrots with happy hour wings. You have to pay extra. Otherwise a nice place to unwind after work.

I couldn’t disagree more with these negative reviews. We just watched a game here. Loved the servers. The wings were awesome. They had great drink specials. The crowd was friendly. What the hell else do you want from a neighborhood sports bar? Stop the hating!!!

This review is purely based on sanitary conditions. Someone had pooped on the floor in several areas and the waitstaff proceeded to clean it up with cocktail napkins while remaining to serve food. It trailed from the dining area to the bar to the bathroom. I have never seen this before and it was horrifying. This business should’ve shut down on the spot to take care of this and they didn’t.

This place has the worst food and service I’ve ever experienced and I will NOT be going back. The manager was rude, inattentive, and unhelpful. The bartender was the worst food-service person I have ever encountered in my life. She yelled at people, constantly provided the wrong items, insulted the guests, and combined our group’s check with another group that we weren’t even with! When we pointed out that we weren’t with them and that we wanted our own check, she refused and told us «you came in together, you’re part of the same group, you pay together.» The two groups in question, actually arrived about 15 – 20 minutes apart, were seated separately, ordered separately and didn’t even interact throughout the night. Because of this«grouping» they were able to add an automatic gratuity to our bill, which we were forced to pay. This place didn’t deserve ANY tip, let alone the $ 50 gratuity they forced on us. The bartender then stood over our shoulder for 45 minutes and forced us to try to split a check with this group of people we didn’t know, and she yelled at us when in her opinion it took too long. In what other place can a bar combine your bill with whomever they want? The food was terrible and the service was criminal. The bartender should be fired and the management forced to undergo some sort of customer service training or just some basic manners. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE stay away from this place!

This bar had some of the worst service I’ve ever received. I will never go here again, and you shouldn’t either. First, the manager. He had this thing where he kept touching me, and my friend who I was at the bar with. Every time he came over. Maybe this is something that other cultures are cool with, I don’t know. But it came off as really weird. Especially after he told me that he loved me. Yeah. Then the bartender. I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced a more negative, combative, person in the service industry. Ever. She was pissed off with some large table that came in. She was pissed off at the kitchen. At some point, the manager turned the game I was watching off. My friend got up and went to see what was going on. I stood up too, and accidentally knocked over a stool. She asked me what I was doing. I said, I wanted to see what was going on. She said, that’s not what it looked like I was doing. Seriously? You’re accusing me of… I don’t know what, because I accidentally knocked over a stool(which I immediately picked up). My friend ordered a Six Point. The bar was quiet, but I guess she misheard and poured him a Blue Point. An honest mistake. He said, sorry, I ordered a Six Point, not a Blue Point. She said, no you didn’t, you ordered a Blue Point. He said, no, it was a Six Point. So she poured the Blue Point out and poured him a Six Point. She also was extremely slow to ask him for a refill, or get menus. I suppose she didn’t have to be, because even though we were a party of two, they had a built-in gratuity on their overpriced liquor and marginal food. Maybe that’s the catch. The owner hires piss poor service, and pays them crap, knowing that they will get built in tips. It would explain the incompetence and awful staff. To close, I will reiterate, do not ever come here.

Friendly service, and poured a nice double Johnny Black, but these guys had to Google instructions on how to make a Mai Tai. Then the bartender got scared and made the bar back mix the drink. I think he put some Chambord and grenadine in a shaker and shook the shit out of it, because we ended up with some sort of purple raspberry drink with a lime, when it should have been a layered light and dark rum drink with orange curacao, lime juice and a pineapple or umbrella in it. These guys were pretty proud of this shitty drink. I guess no one orders Mai Tais on the East Coast? Oh well, my double Johnny Black was fine.
