This place has the saddest excuse for pizza I’ve ever had. They actually served it to me freezing cold too. The other slices looked so old it was really hard to decide honestly. They all looked equally as bad. Should’ve just found myself a dollar pizza. Save yourself don’t bother. I see them going out of business very soon.

This place is an embarrassment and disgrace to New York pizza. If you want dry stale old pizza that tastes the same as the cardboard box it comes in, you’ll love this place.

ALLERGYBEWARE – IRRESPONSIBLERESTAURANTMANAGER First off, I’ve never written a bad review before. I’ve worked in the food industry, and I know what it’s like to have«problem customers.» Under most circumstances, I’m the least likely person to complain. I made an order tonight on Seamless. SINCE I HAVEALLERGIES, I called and said I was interested in ordering a pizza, but that I am allergic to tomatoes. I asked if the«V for Vegan» pie had any(it lists pesto as the sauce on their menu). The woman told me the ingredients and said that it didn’t have tomatoes. To be extra cautious, I asked her if the pesto or sauce had any tomatoes. AGAIN, she said NO. 40 minutes later, the pizza arrived with tomato sauce. I understand that mistakes happen, but I called up the restaurant to talk to someone about the error – after all, I spent 3 days in the ICU the last time I ate a tomato, and I don’t want anyone else to go through that experience. Here’s where it gets worse. The woman who answered the call before was the same person I spoke to earlier. She also said that she was the MANAGER. She gave the following reasons to explain to me why this wasn’t her mistake: 1. Some people are allergic to raw foods, but since the enzymes are altered when the food is cooked, the allergy is no longer active(Which doesn’t make any sense in this context – I said I was allergic to tomatoes, not raw tomatoes.) 2. She told me that every pizza has tomato sauce and that I should have known better(again, that’s why I called to clarify). 3. She told me that since I submitted the order online, someone else took the order, not her, so she wasn’t responsible for it(even though she, the manager, told me the dish didn’t contain tomatoes). At the end of this discussion, she told me that she«didn’t want to go back and forth on this any longer,» and wanted to know what I hoped to achieve with this conversation. When I told her I wanted a REFUND, she said she couldn’t give me one through Seamless. She did agree to give me a free pizza the next time I order from them with the same number – but obviously, I won’t eat from here again. Over and over again, she kept saying that she knew I was upset because I «didn’t get to eat my food.» The problem with this isn’t that I couldn’t eat my food – it’s that the food her restaurant served me could have killed me if I ate it. Overall, this was the WORSTEXPERIENCE I’ve ever had with a food service. I am always willing to accept that mistakes happen, but for the manager of the restaurant to then blame me because she gave me the wrong allergy information means Two Boots reached a whole new level of poor service.

I had just finished an extremely long 16 hour day at work and went in here for a slice right before they were closing. I paid for one slice but then when I got home realized that the guy working the counter put two slices in my bag. It was such a nice gesture, I wish I would’ve known at the time so I could thank him and give him a good tip! Pizza was good too! Will be going back for sure.

Hard to see how this place doesn’t have a C grade. It’s disgusting. There are so many better options in the neighborhood. I’ve had pizza here a few times and it has always been a disappointment. If you’re at a nearby bar, order from just about any other place. Some of the pies on the trays look very old. If you must eat, only get a slice from a new pie, or order your own whole pie instead. I’d go to Gino’s on 83 between 2nd and 1st. Cash only but the short extra walk is well rewarded.

Their décor is pretty awful but I guess it gives the place character. I’ve been here a few times and had regular cheese pizza, as well as the one with spinach, artichoke, and scallions(don’t remember the name), which is AMAZING. The cheese one never fails to disappoint, though. Prices are average for a pizzeria. Crust is pretty thin on all pies and crunchy! Their cookies are only a dollar and are pretty good, as are their garlic knots! A nice neighborhood place. They have lots of variety and pretty unique combinations of toppings, as well as a ton of sandwiches and salads, but I haven’t tried any of them before! Apparently they have a vegan and gluten free option too which I’m sure is helpful for a lot of customers!

I was on vacation in New York and decided to order from Two Boots. I was a little skeptical when ordering because I’m in a new area and know nothing about what’s good there. The delivery came in a timely fashion and and the delivery guy was very polite. The food was a little greasy but it’s pizza after all. It was hot and fresh and looked the part. I enjoyed every bite.

It’s not that hard to mess pizza up but they surely know how to. The fact that I was slightly intoxicated and still thought is terrible is never a good sign. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I love this place. It’s hard finding vegan options in the area. I’ve ordered mainly through seamless and the delivery is always half of what the expected time is. I’m a big fan and will continue ordering food from Two Boots.

Terrible just terrible. I’m a huge pizza guy. I love all kinds from deep dish to Neapolitan to nyc slices but this was just so wrong. The sauce had the intense flavor of dried herbs and tomato paste. The crust was thick but unable to hold up to the sauce and cheese so was soggy and floppy. The cheese was in memorable. I just can’t believe there are multiple locations and it’s been around for 20+years. I guess there’s enough people with bad taste to keep it going. I suggest this place is avoided at all costs. Any other option nearby is a better call.

I heard from a friend that they had good pizza and while I don’t want to upset her, I think it could be because we went late night with older slices but what me and my friends had was terrible. I went with three other people and oh man was the pizza bad. We all had just plain cheese pizza slices and it was worse than any 99 cent or other pizza place I’ve ever been in the city. I was embarrassed to bring my out of town friends there. Please don’t waste your time. I wish I could give no stars.

There are way too many actual pizza places in the area to bother with Two Boots. Pretty much on par with shopping mall food court pizza.

You can almost taste the good vibes. With Vegan and Gluten Free options, this New York pizza staple should be at the top of your list to try. Each Location offers different specialty pies; This location pays homage to neighborhood resident Woody Allen with a Corned Beef, cole slaw and a remoulade dressing pizza called the Fielding Mellish,(named after his character in the 1971 film Bananas.) Finding late night dines on the Upper East Side can be tricky, but this restaurant is open late. The only downside to delivery is that you’ll miss the funky décor.

Found this place after leaving the gym one evening in the upper eat side. I expected a regular pizza shop, two boots surpassed my expectations. Hands down my favorite pizza is The Bird, recommended by Miguel. The staff there is friendly and knows their pizzas. If you like pizza, you will love The Bird. My favorite pizza in NY!

Place is A-ok. Can’t knock the place, but you can definitely do better if you’re trying to find a decent place to eat. One shining light, though, is it’s open late! So those weekend night if you happen to be in the area, grab a Royal Tenenbaum slice!
