WHY did you close?! This is so upsetting… this was my favorite little restaurant =(

Really very meh — we had an assortment of yummy SOUNDING things, but all were disappointing. And when I came on Unilocal I was shocked to see the great reviews — so perhaps the lesson is don’t come on a Monday. Brussels Sprouts with carmelized onions and bacon — should be awesome right? no taste. nada. The small artichokes marinated in mint etc on a kale salad — should have been lovely, but no. Artichokes were fried(what?) and stringy, no flavor, on a dryish kale salad. Beet tower just blah. Spinach with mascarpone? mascarpone soupy — Service was good though. net net — on Monday nights stay away — there is no love in the food.

Every time I come to dine here, I am beautifully pleased by the high-quality dining experience. The food is truly delicious and expertly prepared. The staff is super kind and very cool. General manager Michael and Chef Giuseppe ensure the entire experience is superb.

Lucky for me, Tre Dici was just down the block from the Hilton Fashion District I was staying at on 26th Street. After checking it out on my trusty Unilocal app, I decided on Tre Dici as my first meal out for my trip to NYC this time. It did not disappoint. Service wise, these guys were on point, all the way. As soon as I entered the doorway threshold, someone was there ready to take me to a seat and get me started on my way to a great meal. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, cozy, albeit a bit dark. Bread came out fast to enjoy and it was delicious. My order was taken promptly and I decided on the Kobe Beef Ravioli for my meal. Listed in the menu as «homemade ravioli filled with Barolo braised wagyu beef, caramelized onions & fontina di val’dosta in browned butter & thyme with natural reduction» …how can you resist that? It was a good portion, not small but not overabundant, just right actually as it is pretty filling. It was delivered to my table in good time and I savored and enjoyed every single bite with a pretty generous pour of prosecco I had also ordered. The sauce on the ravioli was so flavorful, it was the kind you use your bread for to get every drop. My bill was taken care of in good time with minimal wait. Everyone on the staff was positive and attentive, and the food was just awesome. My first meal in NYC this time was a great one, and I recommend trying out Tre Dici if you get the chance to do so. Bottom line: Tre Dici was a great Italian meal experience in the Chelsea NYC area. The Kobe Beef Ravioli did not disappoint, and the staff was wonderful. The Unilocal app was on target for this one, it was a good find. I hope to enjoy these guys again!

The only problem is the fact that there is an inevitable delay between the time it takes your fork to get from the plate, to your mouth. So good. Oh, also the fact that every item on the menu looks amazing, so making a decision is a challenge. From the warm smiles as you walk through the door, to the last exquisite bite, this place knows how to make you feel good. Currently my favorite restaurant in NYC.

A cozy and relaxing Italian spot in NYC that I visited during a business trip in early 2015 with a Partner from my firm on a Monday or Tuesday(hence it was fairly quiet and not saturated with people). The Kobe Beef Ravioli was delicious and the right portion size — the quality of the ravioli was complimented by the quality beef. I asked for extra garlic and that augmented the flavor profile perfectly. Service was smooth and easy as well. I would certainly visit again on a future trip.

They have really good steak, a bit too salty for my liking but extremely flavorful and cook to perfection. I ordered the ny strip steak and that dish is definitely on the salter side. Probably because of the parm crust, so if you enjoy salter food, this is the one for you. I also tried the rib eye and omg that was super delicious. Wasn’t as salty as the ny strip steak so that was a plus. Rib eye had a hint of smokey flavor and juicy. I would come back here again and try their food again, especially the pasta. Looks really good.

There is no shortage of Italian restaurants in this part of town, so a couple weekends ago, my wife and I decided to hit up an Italian spot for a casual dinner. Tre Dici has a steakhouse upstairs, which maybe looks better than the downstairs portion, which I was less impressed with and very much had the feel of a diner from a couple decades ago — black leather, somewhat rickety chair, and lighting that kind of feels like a lounge(even if it’s ostensibly a restaurant). The relatively cramped nature of this dining room on the ground floor put us next to a large party that was talking loudly and made it difficult to have any real privacy — and without anyone else around, there wasn’t really any sense of separation between the tables. Service was decent, and the food came quickly, which was appreciated. If anything, the food here is done fantastically, and it definitely makes up for the relative shortcomings of the décor. I went with the stracci composed of delicious ribbon-style pasta with succulent braised short ribs. They definitely go heavy on the sauce, but it’s so hearty and matches the thin yet dense noodles, along with the hearty bites of the short ribs. My wife went with the farfalla; it has the signature warmth of squid ink pasta, and the chunks of steamed lobster in the pasta provides a clean yet succulent contrast against each bite. We also ordered a side of garlic whipped potatoes, which unfortunately didn’t measure up to the pasta — it was a bit dry, and while I appreciated that it wasn’t loaded up with butter like most potatoes of this variety, it lacked cohesiveness that made it rather uninteresting to eat. While I wasn’t thrilled with the décor, and the side wasn’t great, I really enjoyed the pasta, and for the price, it’s not as expensive as a lot of other spots you’d end up going to. Given it’s pretty close by and has a more casual vibe, I’d probably end up coming back again for some more adventurous takes on Italian food.

I’ve been here twice. Once in February, once last week. The first time, we ordered the lobster pasta and the duck pasta. The duck pasta was incredibly delicious. The Lobster pasta was great and came with a ton of lobster. Five stars. I came back last week hoping for the same experience. The lobster pasta had almost no lobster in it and the crab pasta, which had a decent amount of crab in it, just didnt taste particularly great(not bad, just not actively good in any way). Three stars. Scene is very midtown-y. Random midtown crowd that would go to bars in midtown, like on the weekend and enjoy it. Only way to describe it. Value is pretty good. The first time it was a great value, the second time it wasn’t great but not bad either. Service is ok.

I love the music here it’s very 80s and the place is very low key, not too loud, not too packed and the service is good. I also like how it’s not young and hip like the lower east side where u have to scream to talk to anyone. It’s just very chilled there. The first time I came here the food was amazing. I had the valentines lobster. It was out of this world! Second time I came we got the pasta and it was just ok. I would def come back though coz it’s good and it’s in my area

We stumbled upon Tre Dici while we were in NYC staying at the Hilton Fashion District right down the street. It was close by after a long day of walking and had good ratings on Unilocal… so we were in! Though the restaurant was over half empty, for some reason, it took at least five minutes to be seated. There seemed to be a lot of confusion with the hostess and the waiters. However, once we were seated, our waitress was very sweet and efficient. We kept things simple, sharing the meatball appetizer and both ordering ravioli. The meatball appetizer was simple and tasty and a great way for me to start the meal since my ravioli was meatless. Hubby ordered the Kobe Beef Ravioli, which was to die for! It was savory and flavorful, and not going to lie, I was jealous that I didn’t order it, too. I ordered Ravioli«Zucca.» It was tasty but the organic pumpkin, butter nut squash, and sweet potato filling was a little bit too sweet.

Had a fantastic evening here with my wife. As noted, the upstairs throwback steakhouse atmosphere is very cool. Tin ceilings, speakeasy type feel. Fairly limited space, so make a reservation. Only complaint is that it could actually be a touch too dark in there… but it was livable. Service was adequate, and no complaints. It wasn’t over the top excellent. We did have someone new with the shadow of a veteran so fairly attentive. Food was great. I had an amazing bone in chop which was perfect across the board. The ravioli were excellent as well. Everything else was standard, nothing to speak of or complain about. Solid 4 stars here.

I’ve been to Tre Dici twice now and both times I would consider it a four-star experience. The first time our group started with the mac and cheese(excellent flavor, but you only get one tiny bite-sized piece of lobster) and the buffalo calamari(not so much). I ordered the pork chop and was somewhat unimpressed. Perhaps that’s my fault as I ordered it medium well cognizant of under cooked pork, but it ended up being dry and bland. I tasted my colleagues meals: the hanger steak(very good) and the kobe beef ravioli(i.e. the reason I had to come back). It wasn’t very crowded, but our waitress was very attentive and helpful nonetheless. For our return visit, we again had the mac and cheese(still delicious) and this time I got the kobe beef ravioli. I don’t know what to stay about it beyond what’s already been said so I’ll just reiterate that the wagyu beef is so deliciously tender that it melts in your mouth and the browned butter with the thyme is the perfect compliment. It’s truly a stand out dish(think Chris Shepherd’s Korean Braised Goat & Dumplings at Houston’s Underbelly). I am in the camp of $ 23 is a bit steep for 5 ravioli, but at the same time I totally get it. Our service wasn’t quite as good the second go-round and I don’t love the big screen television that definitely clashes with the dimly lit, close quartered, intimate-nature of the space. With the ravioli under my belt, I doubt I’ll be back with so many other amazing places in NYC, but if you’re a local, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Fellow Unilocalers staying in the area decided to give this place a whirl. I really wanted to like this small, throwback dining room. Everything was a bit off, service, food, and then service again. I swear I think half the staff or more were stoned. Certainly the guys at the bar when we walked in. The waitress was fairly nice, though honestly, a bit bridge and tunnel with her accent and attitude. We had to ask HER what the specials were, and she kept trying to clear my friends’ plates — while they still had forks full of food in their hands and half a salmon on their plate. I don’t know what her rush was because we were seated at 7:30 and the place was half-full, and there was no second seating. the place was dead by 9:15 pm when we left. The food: Bread basket. Cold, hard, foccaccia. I was okay with that because I was trying to monitor my cards. My friend ordered a side of marinara to soak it in, that made it more interesting. We ordered sides with our entrees — brussell sprouts and asparagus — the waitress pushed the fries on us instead. They were good, but what deep fried starch isn’t? The weird part is, these were clearly meant to be sides — served WITH the main. They came out as «apps» Drinks. All was okay, but the waitress knocked over my martini on me, losing about 1⁄3 of the drink, not to mention soaking my pants and shirt. «Oh, should I get club soda?!?» Honey, you’re not cute enough to get away with just that over a move like this. The food is more Italian comfort than true Italian. Having taken cooking classes in Italy, this menu would offend most Italians. It’s Americanized, easy way out, comfort food. Sea Bass on Pureed Cauliflower. It was good, but good in the way that takeout from Citarella is good. I love it, don’t get me wrong, but that’s the«good» I expect from Takeout. Pasta Special. Okay. Pasta was over-cooked. The sauce was good though. But good because I’m hungry, but definitely not great. Salmon. Also over-cooked by several minutes to the point where it was dry and that shady white crap was sitting on the sides and top, indicating you’ve cooked the shit out of the fish, versus it being moist, tender, and pink in the middle. We decided to get out ahead and skipped dessert. We paid, left, and on the street saying goodbyes, almost hilariously like from a bad movie, the waitress came running out accusing us of not paying half of the bill. We had to show her where the other slip was on the table, signed. Now we regret leaving 20%. In a city where steakhouses and Italian run rampant, you can do so much better, IMO, and just blocks away.

Above-average Italian. Three of us had dinner on a weeknight and it was full. The menu is interesting. Tre Dici has different takes on traditional Italian dishes. I had Kobe Beef Ravioli which were pretty good. The meatballs were amazing. I didn’t like the Chocolate Ravioli which is pasta ravioli stuffed with chocolate and topped with beef and garnishments. However, I’m glad I tried something different and appreciate Tre Dici’s courage in offering unique plates. The service was ok. We seemed to be waiting quite a bit to take our orders, for our food to arrive, and to get the check. However, the servers were always nice, knowledgeable, etc.

Booked reservations on a Saturday night with no problems. This restaurant is a great spot for an intimate birthday dinner. We had 8 girls and we each got something different. I tried a bit of other people’s dishes and in all, I would just recommend the Frenched Chicken. It was so amazingly delicious and HUGE. For cocktails, they do a bunch of seasonal, fruity drinks. The pumpkin latte was really overwhelming. I highly recommend the spiked apple cider, best ever!

I loved the atmosphere. We ate upstairs in the«secret» steakhouse. You have to leave the main restaurant, go next door, and take an elevator upstairs. The service was great and the menu was very creative. The food, however, was pretty disappointing. We ordered the inside out meatballs, buffalo calamari, and the rib eye steak. The meatballs and calamari were just average, nothing special, and the steak was pretty much all fat. I did like the mashed potatoes it came with though. They were mixed with bacon, sour cream, and cheese. We also ordered the fire and ice for dessert. It was vanilla gelato with gram cracker and fruit. That was pretty good. Overall, I felt like the quality of the food didn’t warrant the price. Our bill was $ 200, and we didn’t feel like it was worth it.

Absolute Empfehlung!
