I’ve been coming here for years and have always loved the place. Waitstaff is always great, and all seem to have pretty cool life stories if you get the chance to talk to them. I’d recommend the chicken parm, or the margarita pizza. Only complaint would be it’s not the best value.

The food and the service were great! After a long travel day, this is exactly what we needed. Pizza, pasta, and a delicious tiramisu!

We came here the night of the blizzard when there was really nothing much open. Didn’t know what to expect. Everyone inside was amazingly friendly and very helpful. They rushed entire crowd through and got everybody seated quickly. The food was exceptional! Pasta made fresh was very very tasty. Service was what you would expect from this type of restaurant — Very good. Would definitely come back here again.

Looked around for some Italian Food and chose to stop by. After, me getting us lost and Ayka patiently waiting for me to figure out where we were and in the freezing cold, we arrived. We’ll worth the visit. Great customer service. Lasanga and Lobster Spaghetti was very good. Enjoyed a nice bottle of Barbera, from Italy which went well with the Lasanga. Great experience. Loved the energy of the restaurant. A must try on your next trip out here.

Just came here with my husband tonight for dinner, we both loved this place very much! The service is IMPECCABLE. Absolutely lovely. So many smiles and that«feel like home» feeling. He ordered the famous chicken parm pepperoni. This was AMAZING!!! Its like a mini chicken parm pizza with pepperoni. Absolute genius. I ordered the lemon chicken with vegetables. The vegetables were eh okay. The chicken was pretty good. I will defintely return! Cant wait to try other things on the menu!

You know how they say your body is a work of art? Trattoria Dell’Arte really believes in that. Butts=décor. Otherwise, here are my thoughts: Food: I had the«A lot of pepperoni and arugula» pizza and it was delicious!!! It’s a thin crust pizza and the ingredients were very fresh. The edges of the pizza were slightly burnt and a bit too crispy tho. Value: all the entrees are around $ 25 – 40 which is about average for NYC. I did enjoy the large portion size. Service: great waitstaff! Ambiance: it’s dimly lit and quite cozy. they decorated with Italian inspired art including many paintings/sculptures of body parts. Location: right across from Carnegie Hall so it was perfect since we went to a show right after dinner. Also across the street from the 57th and 7th Ave NQR subway station.

Amazing ambience and food! Ravioli was amazing and the Caprese salad with fresh mozzarella was so fresh! And the tiramisu OMG huge enough for all four of us! The Canolli was the most amazing homemade from crushed Almonds! Wow! Great service as well!

Holy amazing! From the minute we walked into this restaurant everything was AMAZING! The host greeted us with a huge smile and welcome hand shake. Right off the bat, I was in love. Our waiter, Guy was AWESOME! So friendly and attentive to everything. Was just a great waiter! Now to the food, got the chicken parm and meatball pizza. OHMYGOODNESS, get there and get them. So amazing! Fresh and hot! Can not wait to go back and visit again. From start to finish our experience was a TEN!

Really good Italian in NYC. Shared the thin crust pizza for appetizers pepperoni and arugula and Margherita both sumptuous. Hen of the woods mushrooms were super tasty. Main course of veal Milanese with tomato and arugula which was huge with side of shoestring fries. The red wine was also fantastic!

A very nice place. I thought we might not get in without a reservation because it was so crowded. The host greeted us and shook our hands. He admired my earrings — smooth. They were skulls. A coat check person immediately came over and took our jackets and umbrellas and gave us a check stub. Then we are seated at a very nice booth table from where you can see all that is going on in the main dining area. They pull the table out for us so we can comfortably get into our seats. We ordered caprese salads, supreme pizza(prosciutto ham, bacon, pepperoni, peppers) and prawns with Fava beans. All very tasty. The pizza is sooooo thin without being a cracker. Dessert: a chocolate gelato thing and a cannoli. You get two cannoli to an order, but she(June P.) said I could get only one. This place is pretty good. Try it.

If you want a waiter who ignores you, a maitre d who spills water on your guests and table(not once but twice), overall poor service with below average food, you’ve come to the right place. We decided to eat here before the marathon and it was the worst experience ever. The waiter was rude and rolled his eyes when we expressed our concerns. We had to beg for water the whole meal. The lasagna I ordered was burnt and lacked flavor. I will never come back here! On the plus side, their pizza was actually pretty good.

I went here with my sister after a long day of walking around Central Park. The wait staff was so friendly and helpful. This place is the closest I have found to true Roman food. The place is a little pricey but way worth the money. Everything came out delicious. We ordered the margarita pizza and for our main course we had the spinach pasta with the cheese. You have to try the desert here we ordered the cannoli and it was fabulous.

I went there for the Summer vegetable antipasto. There’s a choice of three or six vegetable plate. I chose six vegetable: Beldi black olives: bittery and salty Cauliflower steak: served warm with crumbs on top Haricot verts, barlotti beans & picklet red onion: the haricot are soft, the beans are crispy Hen of the woods mushrooms roasted with thyme: served warm Sicilian eggplant caponata: cooked in a sweet tomato sauce Swiss chard, cippolini onions, tomatoes: love my greens It was nice to have all these vegetables to eat with the olives that were quite salty. The bread basket is a savory rosemary focaccia. As for dessert, they show you a tray of their desserts(Cannoli, lemon crème brûlée, meringue cake, tartufo, tiramisu. It looks more yummy than a paper menu, but Italian desserts are heavy on dairy. I had a pleasant meal there, the staffs are nice and friendly.

I’ve been here a few times over the last several years, and this place has never disappointed me. The service is always phenomenal from the second you walk in the door, and the food is always delicious. The décor is somewhat eclectic, with most of the art being of various body parts. They have ear sculptures, and sketches of various zoomed in parts of the body. The main dining room is yellow with mother of pearl decorations. There is another room for dining on the side with turquoise walls. Service-wise, everyone from the maitre d’ to the servers and support staff were wonderful. It’s a very welcoming group of people. Our food came out all relatively fast, the two of us were done with appetizers and entrees in just less than an hour, and we never felt rushed during our meal. We ordered the octopus and calamari antipasti, which was tender and cooked in a tomato sauce. For entrees we ordered the scallops with risotto and the lobster carbonara. Highly recommend these dishes, they are very rich and savory and satisfying. The lobster carbonara is probably my favorite dish on the menu. We also got the stuffed artichokes, which were okay, but nothing immensely special. We were also too full at that point to enjoy any more food. All in all, come if you’re looking for a decadent meal, they do have gluten free options as well I believe.

We had a party of 10 come to Trattoria Dell’Arte for a business lunch; the restaurant is enormous! We ordered a bunch of apps to share and pizza. The food came out promptly, and it seemed everyone enjoyed the different dishes ordered. It’s a solid Italian place at an intersection of business, residential and tourism. I’d come back here for another business lunch with a bunch of people. For a more intimate, personal dinner, I recommend walking over to 9th Avenue to Bocca Di Bacco

Solid choice for a dinner date. Good service and ambiance — not the refined type but fun & rowdy(at one point, the waiters broke into a loud chorus of the birthday song). The décor is artsy and interesting — you’ll find yourself mesmerized by the huge noses and lips adorning the walls. The portions were HUGE and generally heavy. I got the pesto and spinach ravioli, which was good and very creamy, but less cheese would have been ideal. My friend got the 101 layer lasagna — a very heavy, meaty, and rich dish. Tasty in smaller doses, but I wouldn’t have been able to handle much of it. For dessert, we shared a huge, decadent slice of tiramisu. There wasn’t much coffee flavor and it was very sweet, but still a good end to the meal.

I had a nice dining experience here. I made dinner reservations for five people a few days in advance on OpenTable. When we arrived on time they had the table ready for us right away. The dinning room is pretty large and had a rustic feel with the some Roman art on the walls. Service was top notch and our server checked in on us the perfect amount of times. Water glasses were refilled as necessary and plates were removed when finished. If you are celebrating a birthday their staff will surround the table and sing happy birthday. What we tried: –Focaccia Starter bread(6⁄10) — pretty tasty but overall average bread, they do refill the bread basket as needed –Burrata & Prosciutto Di Parma with olives(9⁄10) — it is hard to go wrong with burratta and prosciutto but everything here was fresh and tasty –Lobster Seafood Risotto(7⁄10) — The risotto was a bit on the salty side but overall had nice flavor and texture wise cooked perfectly. There was also a generous amount of seafood. –Lobster Spaghetti Carbonara(8⁄10) — They make their own pasta in house and you could tell. The pasta was cooked perfectly to complement the seafood carbonara sauce. The sunny side egg on top could have been cooked a bit more runny but that might be my personal preference. –Tiramisu(9⁄10) — Probably one of the best tiramisu’s I have tried. The rum they added enhanced the flavor profile of the cake tremendously.
