My eyebrows were shaped well, but agree with the careless review – I have cuts under both eyebrows. Will not be coming back.

BEWARE careless service here! Came in for eyebrow threading and the woman tore the skin below my eyebrow and above the eyelid. Very painful and the woman was unapologetic. Will not be coming back.

I’ve been going here for a few years, first thing they changed there prices, for a bikini wax. when i just wanted something simple. they would not stamp my freq card unless i paid 20. or more for my service. Ever time i had my eyebows or a wax done there, they never say that to me… How do you put a price limit on a service. i am sad because now i have to find a new place. will not be returning.

I have been coming here just about weekly for three years and I love it. t’s not even in my neighborhood — I tried almost every place from 96^th to Hamilton Heights and this is the best.
The customer service is great and prices are low. All the women who have threaded me have listened and shaped things according to my specific requests. If there was a spot left, I checked and they fixed it right away.
Because this place is popular, you can avoid the rush by going Mon-​Th after 5pm or during a weekday (schedule permitting), and early on weekends.
I can’t recommend it highly enough. I also keep going for non-​eyebrow threading, and have asked here and there for tiny eyebrow touch-​ups (as I grow them out after years of over-​plucking on my part), which they have done for free.
Like any beauty service, be specific and descriptive with what you want, and here, you’ll get exactly that.

I’ve been going here for a few years, it’s mostly hits, a few misses when a new employee comes along do I try to stay among the familiar staff. Today was amazing because Nita did my eyebrows and upper lip and date I say it… I enjoyed it! She listened to how I wanted my shape and sensitively did a great job. The other staff are generally good, though sometimes seem to care less during rush hours which is understandable but reflects on the work being done.

Absolutely horrible customer service, just now I was refused service despite being open and asked to come back tomorrow morning with no explanation. Those threading do not always wash hands between customers, the lighting is poor and consistently hairs and spots are missed. Often thread roughly causing skin irritation. Used to come consistently as it was so convenient for me — but after this latest rude encounter I will not be going back.

Stay away. I have no idea what has happened to this place besides the fact that I walked out today with a fucked up eyebrow. Like I said in my previous review I have a lot of eyebrow so I can tell when untouched hairs were being removed. This broads offered the «come back and let it grow out» line. Are you serious? At least attempt to make it even. So rude, and they just went on to the next person in line. Don’t be fooled by the line or the price anymore I have completely lost trust in this place, the service is shit and the quality matches. I let the service slide a few times and have asked repeatedly after each threading to go back and clean up what was missed but this my friends… Can’t be fixed. I’m not even mad, I’M DISSAPOINTED

Poor lighting & bad thread yields an incomplete thread… a good price doesn’t make up for leaving this place still hairy.

Double dipping, the restroom conditions are highly questionable, but what I won’t appreciate the most is when I am being charged different price for the same service every time! 2 stars because there is one Indian lady that is very sweet. Go somewhere else.

They did okay with my eyebrows but I don’t think the technician had any idea how to apply lashes. They look like I’ve had it for about a month now and falling out… mind you this is my second day with it.
Go up the block to 104^th the girls there are much much better!

Came here once to get my eyebrows done. I left the place with one eyebrow thicker and had an higher arch then the other. HORRIBLE! Recently I decided to give this place another chance and got a Brazilian wax. BAD Idea. I left the place in pain which is weird since I’ve been getting waxed for 2 years now. I went home and noticed I was bleeding and the next few days I noticed I had a lot of ingrowns. Never again will this place receive money from me nor will I recommend this place!

Did a great job on threading !!!
But what I did notice while waiting I watched them wax other people’s face and they DOUBLE DIPPED!!!

Not so bad, was quick and easy on a Tuesday afternoon.
Eyebrows are clean and well shaped.
I’m bummed to see the reviews said it was $ 6 but they have now raised it to $ 8. So expect to spend around $ 10 with tip!

The thread/​waxers here vary. I used to come here for a 20-​something girl who would take an hour to give me the closest and least painful face wax in the entire world. However, she’s gone, and an older Indian woman is waxing now.
The wax wasn’t painful at all! She was very rough with me, though, when she was moving my head back and forth or turning the chair. If I was going somewhere to get my bikini waxed, I wouldn’t come here for that reason. However, the wax itself was close to painless, and it’s a pretty good outcome.
The ladies aren’t the nicest. They commented on how hairy I am and tried to sell me an arm wax. Kind of insulting, but it’s also their job. I don’t know how I feel about it.
I’ll keep coming back, because it’s hard to find a place that doesn’t rip off skin when they wax, but I’ll just make sure to ignore their comments when I do.

My experience is limited to application of false eyelashes. These are advertised as individuals but are really the flares — 4 – 6 lashes in a small clump.
The problem is the adhesive. They used something like crazy glue on my lashes!!! I had this done on New Year’s eve and there are still clumps of this stuff on my lashes 6 weeks later and after trying eyelash adhesive remover.
The service was very inexpensive which should have been a warning. The technician was very gentle and seemed to know what she was doing. My lashes looked great that night and afterward but they became uncomfortable as my lashes began to grow.
Sad outcome — many of my own lashes (which were pretty long to begin with) have come out with the clumps of false eyelash. Now I actually feel that I need false eyelashes instead of wanting them just for the special occasion.
I’ll be sure to investigate thoroughly before allowing anybody else near my eyelashes!
I would give them 1 star, but from what I saw, it looked like they were able to do just fine with eyebrows. But skip the false eyelashes at all costs!

don’t go here. the woman didn’t listen to me at all when I told her I didn’t want my eyebrows too thin. She just quickly got me in the chair and went to work. Very unhappy with the results.

Excellent eyebrow threading place! So impressive and cheap.

True story: I went to Touch N Glow for the first time when I was signing a lease to live like a block and a half from here. I was happy with my thread and underarm wax. They gave me a frequent customer card (You know — Buy 8 threads get 1 free or some crap). Anyway later that day, I was walking in the Village and bought a coffee somewhere and saw my card. I started humming The Cars song «Touch and Go.» Three minutes later, I ran into Ric Ocasek (lead singer of the Cars) on 9^th St.
Needless to say, I like Touch N Glow. the threaders are good and their waxes are efficient and painless. Don’t get me wrong: not about to get the full monty wax here. But for underarm and simple stuff they’re ok. I got something like 20% off for a summer special. Maybe I’ll sing a different tune once summer is over. But all in all, best place in neighborhood for the eyebrows.
I will say this… it gets BUSY in afternoons because for some reason they have like one person working the threads.

I had an event to go on Saturday and needed my eyebrows done really fast. Now, this was my 2^nd time going to Touch N Glow. I had no appointment and I was running out of time. I went with my friend and were out in no time. The place is clean, the staff is courteous, professional, and the price is right. I have very difficult eyebrows and i left the place feeling satisified. I forgot to use my card that the woman gave me the last time. Note to self, keep the card in my wallet so I can eventually get a free threading!

Still wonderful place but not all employees are created equal. The lady today was a little more painful but she still got the job done and the price is right.
