After visiting two times, I decided to never step foot in this place again. Their products are overpriced and the quality is so-so. The sales associates are extremely rude and unprofessional. One time when I was checking out, the sales woman gave me another person’s credit card. She seemed so bored, lazy, and uninterested she didn’t even bother to see if the card went to the right person. It was really busy and since the store is small, I could have easily just walked right out of their with the card. So horrible. Just go to The Face Shop next door-better quality products, better price, and better customer service.

Gimmicky items like $ 10 lip balm, but a bright and kinda energetic spot to browse while waiting to eat on 32nd.

I feel like Unilocal should really let us give half stars but since they don’t, I’ve rounded up from 3.5 to 4 stars. This location of Tony Moly is pretty standard. The store can feel pretty cramped depending on the time of day one visits. The only saving grace of Tony Moly is their cute packaging and smell of the products. I own the strawberry jam wash off pack and chocolate mask. I mean… Why eat food when you can smell like it? The rest of their product line is average. I really love their lip stains. The $ 6 price point for the Benetint-like product is great! I wish the rest of the prices were this reasonable!

WORST shopping experience in my entire life! I L.O.V.E tony moly and i usually buy online nearly their whole line, I was very excited when I saw the store while I was visiting NYC. I’m getting into the store with more or less the idea of buying the whole store. I have already two basket of goods, i’m trying to reach a tester of a mist spray, the shelf is not well fixed the tester(only the tester) felt. I put it back to the shelf and continue shopping, few minutes after, a women(not friendly and extremely rude) came to me saying that i broke the cap of the tester mist spray. I explain calmly and apologize for what happens, I show her my two basket full of products that i would have bought. She obliged me to buy the full price for the TESTER(16 $). She insisted, I paid the tester mist(half empty), left and didn’t buy the rest of the stuff i wanted. I felt humiliated and frustrated, I will never go back again! It’s too bad i love the brand, I will continue to buy this brand on internet. SODISAPOINTING…

They have a wide variety of products, all of which are unique useful & adorable. They sell a lot of the similar things in Urban Outfitters now(the peach hand crème and colorful face masks) so it was nice to see them at the actual original shop. I ended up getting a few face masks, including one that was labeled as being a bulldog undereye mask(SOCUTE) I wish they would label products better and make sure they all have price tags, because some of the face masks are like $ 3 while other creams can be in the higher price range. When I came in I wasn’t really sure what would work for my skin type and what every thing did because some stuff doesn’t have English descriptions. It would be nice if the employees were a little more proactive in helping customers out.

3.5ish stars: The selection of cosmetics here is great. I love trying the free samples and walking around the store to check out all the cute products. The problem is the staff here isn’t particularly helpful. It’s probably better to come in with an idea with of what you want rather than to ask the staff for help on finding suitable products.

Service was good downstairs. Sales lady told us about ongoing promotions they had upstairs. Went upstairs and there were accessories that were a bit overpriced. Also I didn’t see any promotions, not did the sales lady upstairs say anything. They have a variety of products that most are worth the price.

I’m so glad they opened up another Tony Moly smacked in KoreaTown. Now I don’t have to purposely go to Chinatown for their cosmetics and skincare products. This is probably the biggest and most spacious Korean cosmetic shop I’ve ever been to. They offer a lot of different toners, cleansers, and brightening cream, so it separates this shop from the flaming popularity of the other shops. But it seems like the workers only know the basics of the products. They can’t really explain why it works, but if you tell them your skin problems, they’ll offer a product for you to incorporate into your skincare routine. They also need to put up price tags. I’ve asked several times how much a product costs, and it made me feel stingy.

The cashier for the day I went was very sweet and kind! The sales associates didn’t offer any help until I personally asked them. Just know that at Urban, the products are cheaper by a little.

While visiting New York I stopped by the Tony Moly store and was ready to spend a lot of money! But as I was browsing the store I was very disappointed by the quality of customer service they had. the employees that work there don’t really do their job. They talk about their personal life out loud while customers are shopping. They don’t bother to help customers unless they are asked questions. But the biggest issue I had was when I accidentally broke a lip gloss sample that was poorly placed on display.(Btw a lot of their samples weren’t out or they were overused, dirty and not organized.) I told one of the employees that I accidentally broke a sample and apologized but she really didn’t care for my apology or my hands that were covered in lip stain and broken glass. I asked for a napkin and they acted like they didn’t have any! Really? You don’t have napkins in a makeup store??? Then the associate said I needed to pay for the sample I broke. She said I could pay 30% less of the price but why should I pay for a sample at all??? When I replied no she demanded that I absolutely had to. I work for a large retail company myself and people break perfume samples or damage thousands of dollars of clothes everyday. She then ended up calling the manager and told me I didn’t have to pay for the item… I ended up leaving and spent my money a few doors down at The Face Shop. I’d love to give them 5 stars because I love their products but their employees deserve 1. To management: you should always have a manager or supervisor on duty… or at least coach your employees on handling certain situations. I’d recommend training your employees to be more knowledgeable on products, their inventory, and the importance of customer service. Some people that shop there don’t exactly know what the product does and neither do your employees…

Not really my review but my wife’s. She bought couple lotions from here and it turns out the urban outfitter store was selling them a lot cheaper. How can the official store be more expensive than a third party selling it on the side? Wait. is that how it’s suppose to be?

I’m all for the Korean skin care craze and luckily the shops so popular in Korea are now stateside. This store is very cute, well lit and organized well. Very very tiny however, statuesque folks such as myself may find themselves bumping into everything. Other than that, I can’t wait to make another purchase. I picked up the Strawberry Jam Sugar Scrub to add to my routine and though I have yet to use it, the smell is worth the fifteen dollar price tag. I also got an orange lipstain for six bucks. Add this lil hole in the wall to your Ktown tour for sure.
