Great lunch spot with unique sandwich options. The slice of apple in the Alice gives it great flavor. The only sandwich I would eat with an apple mixed into it. The Sophie is great as well if you want something more filling. Nice combination of flavors: chicken, snow peas, cucumber, avocado. Has hot food and salads too, overall many good choices.

I’ve been going to Toasties for years. I’m a huge fan of this place. I would be giving this 5 stars but I must deduct a point because I miss there tables. Basically, their egg white, ham and cheese breakfast wrap is my favorite thing in the world. I’ve been eating it since I was 15 so I guess I’m emotionally attached to it. For 5 dollars, you basically get to spend 15 minutes in heaven. I love this wrap so much. Please don’t ever leave me.

Update… Even though I canceled the order and they said they were going to notify the EAT24 Unilocal order service to refund me… I still got charged. Not sure who it at fault here but I had to file a dispute with credit card company.

I like their sandwiches sometimes, but they are so bad at the following. 1. Never follow direction 2. I don’t know how many times I asked for Ketchup on the side and never get them 3. Never answer the phone, so I do order through Seamless. 4. Ordered from them 4 times so far and 2 out of 4 times, the delivery guy doesnt follow direction and calls me from the street… It says«USEFREIGHTELEVATOR To 5thFLOOR» 5. And the kicker… It takes them over an hour to get from Chelsea to Chelsea… it’s the same area!!! How hard is it really TOASTIES???

I have been ordering from this place for 6 years now and it seems they get more rude by the second. I placed an order for delivery being unable to pick it up because I am at work and pressed for time. After an hour and a half the food was still not delivered. I called and the first person I spoke to hung up on me and when I called back the second person didn’t seem to care and said«I’m not going to argue with you» and seemed happy when I said I was going to cancel my order, so I will not order from them ever again.

Lady on the weekdays is bitch. She starts pretty early. So if you don’t want your day ruined, don’t go here. Food is awesome, and cook staff is too. But she screws the whole thing up.

Oh Toasties of yore, how I miss you. It wasn’t too long ago that my friends and I came back to you, day after day, to order your perfectly constructed sandwiches. The freshest of veggies, careful/even distribution of the fillings(underrated category), and(most importantly) generous deli meat portions. Something happened about 6 months ago, where we witnessed a steady decline in every one of the aforementioned qualities, the now skimpy portions cutting the deepest. During these 6 months, I still came back periodically hoping that you were able to bounce back from whatever funk you were going through. But at some point, I have to step out of the circle of denial and face the truth. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me 8 times… well, I’m not willing to give up on a possible lazarus situation just yet.; fool me 17 times, god damnit I’m out. I heard lenwich is pretty good.

So I come from down south, in the mythical land of Wawa, and my standards for a casual sandwich place are incredibly high. I want my sandwiches to be big, delicious, fast, and cheap, and yes, I obviously don’t get that last part too much anymore in the city. Walking past the dingy, depressing exterior of Toasties I didn’t expect much, but I wanted a sandwich one morning and walked in. You know that saying, «don’t judge a sandwich shop by its book cover?» Now I have first hand experience with what that means. It was like a scene in a movie. Once I walked through the door I was treated to a gleaming interior with a few big, clean preparation sections and a full menu of good looking sandwiches. My first move in a sandwich shop is usually to get the Italian, so I did that and it was above satisfactory, so good work by them. It was big, with good bread and meats, and the condiments were nice and tasty. The coffee was pretty good too. All in all, yet another place in Chelsea that I’ll describe as «pleasantly surprising».

I’ve now passed the THREE-HOUR mark of waiting for my food, and hangry doesn’t begin to describe me right now. I called an hour ago to check on the status and the woman who answered said«it just left»(no apology — I understand it’s been raining, but no apology whatsoever). That was clearly a lie, because the food is not here. Never again.

The bagels here are amazing. Blueberry bagel with egg is my go to breakfast. The smoothies are really good too, though they don’t use milk. If you’re a tourist the staff look at you like you are an idiot so if they’re rude just don’t tip.

I come to toasties 3x/wk. they have the cheapest and best morning breakfast wraps. I get an eggwhite, spinach, turkey bacon, and Swiss wrap for only $ 6. Unheard of in the city. The food I give 5 stars. Two issues, though. The woman who works the register every day is a stone cold bitch. I have been so friendly and smile at her every day but she is so sour and puts a damper on my experience. Just extremely brusque and consistently rude. So much so that I felt compelled to write my first review. Lastly, they took the tables out for some reason. I am probably not going to go as often because I like to sit down and eat my wrap before I go into work. Now I have to take it on the go and it’s not as convenient. In short, great and cheap food. Get a new cashier and bring the tables back!

We were looking for a quick breakfast in the area, and stumbled upon Toasties. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted wheat bagel, which was quickly made and delicious. Although we weren’t looking to shop, there seemed to be a good selection of groceries as well.

Simply put: I like their sandwiches. Their cold cuts are good, and their choices of bread are too. Everything I’ve had here is fresh, and tasty. I also appreciate the selection of good snacks and beverages.

Well, I used to enjoy this place for my sandwiches, until I saw a big roach scurrying across the floor about two weeks ago. Just decided to check again today, and noticed that the place was closed, complete with a big yellow Department of Health closure taped on the door. I think my lunch appetite shall be sated somewhere else, thank you very much.

My former company ordered office lunch from here at least once a month and every time there was a problem. Most common mistakes were missing sandwiches or incorrect items made/sent. The sandwiches are ok. Nothing more. Nothing less. I wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here, but if you’re in the neighborhood it will do in a pinch. If you’re unsure what to order, the Spinach Rolly, which is spinach with swiss cheese, avocado, sauteed mushrooms, sun dried tomato spread and honey dijon, isn’t a bad choice.

I love this place!!! I used to come here years ago when I worked in the area, and nothing has changed? Nothing… not even some of the staff, Smoked Jack, House Combo and the Thanks Giving Special are just a few of some of the best hero’s you’re going to find in NYC,.

Lunch in hopes for some toasties. Without any knowledge of the name being a high-end Korean deli where Bibimbap is available in a casual environment outside a sit-down restaurant setting, yet, I opt for tossed salad. At $ 6.00 for a small tossed Mesclun salad without my favorite blue cheese or Vidalia onion was not the same flavor. Okay. Price is reasonable. No takeout menu exist as neither business cards, with only my sales receipt as a reference to write this review. Seating is available.

Simple Korean Deli but wish they have more Korean items but they have Bibimbap, very generous priced and portion. I walked in just because there was a sign«Korean Bibimbap». I passed by many times but never thought it was Korean deli. The location is very easy to find, out side from #1 train at 23rd Street Station. My Bibimbap was made-to-order(not authentic but asked how I want my egg to be cooked!). I opted for Sunnyside up. My order was assembled from pre-cut veggies in the glass case by a comfy-vibe Spanish man. If you want it as Vegetarian? Ask not to add ground beef and egg but ask for more veggies. One mistake I made, it was that all the veggies, beef and egg were separated from the rice, usually it’s over rice so I asked to make it that way, thinking that rice is room temperature but it was warm, you know warm food with plastic — posing dangers to health: bisphenol A(BPA). I should just follow what they do, rice in a separate container… Several condiments, not-so-garlicky gochujang(chili pepper paste), sesame oil(I only picked one but this Bibimbap was much better adding more oil that was small containers on the glass case. I took two chili pepper paste since it was small but one was enough for this big Bibimbap. Another container has a Korean crunchy-crumble dried seaweed with sesame oil gave an extra flavor and this seaweed is one of my favorites from Korean goodies, love it on a hot fluffy white rice. Since there aren’t many Korean restaurant in this area(except a bit of walk up till 28th St, HIT Korean Food & Deli but that’s it!), this location Toasties, satisfies my Korean craving. Oh! I almost forgot to mention my Bibimbap was only $ 7.95.
