This is my go-to market. I started going here because it was convenient location wise, but soon realized they were better than most of the others. Their prices are high, but then most bodegas and Korean markets are. When I run out of the cat food from my normal place, I pay double here. The salad bar is fresh and they make good sandwiches. The flowers are great. I find the guys at the sandwich counter/salad bar to be extremely friendly and polite. The people at the cash register are nice, One woman is very friendly,(asks how my family is, etc) while the men sometimes act like they’ve never seen me before — not rude or anything — but a little surprising since I’ve been shopping here for about 7 years and I go in to shop about 4 – 5 times a week.

They sell expired products and fruit that’s gone bad! Make sure the products don’t have mold on them! And the guy during the night shift is extremely rude!

I have been going here repeatably every weekend for 4 years. This weekend I went and my bagel was $ 3.66 I gave them a $ 20 and noticed they only gave me back $ 6.24 back. I confronted him about it and he claimed I had to be wrong. Him and the woman(who over the past 4 years I always assumed was the manager) told me to come back at 7pm when they counted the money. I returned at 6:30pm telling them I was planning to bring a police officer with me at 7pm to watch them count it. She had a meltdown, proceeded to curse at me and told me that no one was allowed to watch her count it. She told me she had never dealt with my money originally so she was not responsible, when I asked her if she was the manager she said she was not responsible for her employees(when she clearly was). I pointed to the guy who I had directly dealt that morning and she demanded he give me the $ 10 out of his pocket. He promptly gave it to me(as if he knew he was guilty).

I love this place … the staff is awesome friendly and helpful. The food is very good for pre made, always fresh, the salads are amazing and made for you and the food to order is always good, nice choices for bread or rolls and they can make anything quickly. The fresh fruit is awesome too and always fresh as well. And their flowers are THE best … lots of choice, freshly cut and not expensive. Their vegan/gluten free healthy snack choices are vast and so is their ice cream /frozen yogurt section … yum ! The only down side to this place is my weight gain as I live across the street and treat it like my apt refrigerator !

This is a review of their flowers only!(I have no clue about any of the food here or anything else.) But the floral bouquets here are 10X nicer than any similar place in the area, and priced reasonably. I don’t know why, but there you have it.

I’ve never eaten here for anything other than breakfast, but it’s a usually quick, easy, and cheap(think $ 5 for an omelette) spot to grab a bite to go. Very friendly staff and frequented by the locals.

This is my go to place. Pretty expensive, but when I need groceries in a pinch, they have everything.

My morning ritual takes my weary body to Merci Market, a local deli where I was awaken to the freshly baked muffins. One cranberry muffin at $ 1.75 was moist and freshly baked and one banana at $ 0.50 totals under $ 4.00(without sales tax) for a quick cheap breakfast. Merci Market do not have takeout menus and no business cards, but a sales receipt with the business name and contact details is what this review is based on. Korean owned Somewhat friendly to customers Lots of flowers outside

I go to Merci Market to pick up lunch several times a week. They have a great sandwich selection(including wraps and paninis), and I frequently order salads at their extensive salad bar as well. I have never had a problem with the staff — they have always been friendly, welcoming, and helpful.(I have, however, seen some very rude, unnecessarily demanding, and impatient customers order the staff around to a degree I found appalling.) If I ever change jobs and am no longer in the area, I’ll miss stopping by for lunch and to say hi!

Okay — so my mother(she’s 91 bless her!) has recently developed this incurable jones for NY Garlic Bagel Chips, in a green bag.(sublime when partnered with gorgonzola cheese-see my Mr. Vino Cucina review) These chips tho’, are not always easy to find, and after looking and looking, I was taking a walk in Chelsea one day and happened to see them in the Merci window. Of course I bought three bags. I like this place! Got a good selection, and early in the morning you can get juice, or other quickie ‘grab and run to work’ style snacks. But the NY Bagel Chips — make it worth Ric’s shlep over from Union Square!

Worst servers at the salad bar — rude and idiotic. Owners don’t seem to care. I will never go back. The guy putting together the salad had an attitude — I walked out without anything. With so many choices in the neighborhood what a waste if time this place is

Winner of the Chelsea bodega wars. In fact, so much more than a bodega. You actually get quality here. Also really nice employees, which cannot be said for some of the others in the neighborhood.

I walked in thinking how good can an omelette be in a small corner market? I had the mushroom and onion omelette with avocados. Unbelievably good! I guess that saying don’t judge a book by its cover is relevant here lol. I will definitely go back to this place and try out more stuff on their menu. The guy working said I have the option of customizing my own omelette and wraps, so I will take advantage of that next time.

Absolute favorite place for custom-made fresh salads, juices, smoothies, and sandwiches. Not to mention the fully stocked market. Super friendly and hardworking staff. Juicers: This is the place to get huge portions of your favorite combinations. They have kale, lemons, ginger, blueberries, blackberries, oranges, and more. Get an x-large for less than $ 7. Salad lovers: The extensive salad bar makes for a satiating mix of your favorite treats. Generous portions and options. My favorites include artichokes, sprouts, water chestnuts, pico de gallo, broccoli rabe, asparagus, egg whites, and a variety of grilled chicken. Mmmm salivating @now. Sandwich monsters: It’s not my thing, so I can’t elaborate. But the line was long.

24-hour grill. Boom. Seriously, that’s one of the best things about Merci. The bodega is open 24 hours, and no matter time it is, you can get a hot sandwich. Salad prices went up recently(«due the high cost of vegetables» according to the taped up sign – meh), but Merci is still a go-to. They’ve also got a good selection of brewed coffee if Starbucks or Grumpy’s ain’t your thang.
