Tried to go today for lunch, and coworker and I were so hyped up for the purported less-than-$ 7 lunch specials! But when we got there… …it was closed. It was so closed that there were even construction workers renovating the place. Apparently, Tiny Thai has been closed for 2 weeks! We were so crushed.

Ducked in here during a summer storm. Here’s what we had: –Chicken dumplings. 4 for $ 6 or so. Not bad, but not much flavor either. The sauce helps a little. –Crispy duck pad kee mow(spicy noodles). A bit pricey for the crispy duck option, but so good! Definitely worth it, lots of duck, really crispy — like eating crispy bacon. Great flavor, and the pad kee mow itself was terrific — spicy and well-sauced. Perfect with the duck. A little more would have been perfect. Nice atmosphere, small, clean place, friendly staff. Pretty good overall.

My first experience at Tiny Thai was excellent. The restaurant itself is really clean and the interior design is a combination of both cute and hip. The restaurant is not very large, however, the spacing of the tables and chairs were very comfortable. The bathrooms are super clean and actually have a cool design. Now let’s get down to the important stuff, the food! Overall, the food was delicious! my boyfriend had the traditional thai tea, which he said was delicious. I couldn’t have it because it has milk in it but I had a sweetened ice tea, which was also very good. We started off with spring rolls. They were perfectly fried and came with a sweet sauce that complemented the rolls. Nothing bad to say about the spring rolls. I ordered the chicken pai thai and my boyfriend ordered the Tiny Thai Fried Rice with beef. We shared our plates and both were extremely delicious! The pai thai was perfect. It did not have an overwhelming peanut taste, as I’ve encountered at other restaurants. It was the perfect balance and the chicken tasted fresh! The fried rice was super delicious. We asked for some hot sauce which just took it to another level. The portions were perfect. The service was excellent as well. They smiled a lot and were extremely attentive. Overall, the ambience was great and the food was super tasty. The prices were very fair for the portion. I would definitely come back here again.

About a 7 or 8 minute walk from the Metropolitan Museum of Art… EXCELLENTPADTHAI Place is somewhat small, if you have a party of 5, try to get the big table in the back, nice square where it’s nice and cozy. We got a Pad Thai order with chicken and another one with shrimp. Both were EXCELLENT. Gotta love NYC and all of the places to eat!

There are a LOT of Thai options in this neighborhood and loving Thai as much as I do, I’ve tried all of them and Tiny Thai is definitely the most solid choice. The drunken noodles are phenomenal and the perfect amount of spicy. The delivery is incredibly fast and when it gets here, the food tastes fresh! Legit spot.

Another delivery. Another disappointment? I ordered with a group of friends that rely on Tiny for their go-to Thai take-out. I was less than impressed, and I know it wasn’t solely because I did delivery. The chicken in my pad see ew was extremely chewy. Noodles were tasty and plentiful but the low-quality poultry left me with a protein-less meal. I also had some of the pad Thai which I found to be super dry… my friends were dousing it in lots of lemon. The best dish of the order was definitely the red curry, which packed some nice heat. If I were ever to order from Tiny Thai again I’d definitely stray away from their noodle dishes. Best part of the experience was the affordable prices and speedy delivery. While it wasn’t the most painful take-out experience, I’d explore other Thai options on the Upper East before settling on Tiny Thai.

Good tasting Thai food, really good flavor and decent portions. I say«decent» because the portion of meat(whether it be poultry, beef or seafood) is not the best; skimpy even. The delivery is convenient and arrived in record time the last time I ordered there. I would say that this is not normal however and depends on the time of day, size of order, etc. etc. You’re not an idiot though and can figure that out. Back to the important stuff and our regularly scheduled review. Pad Thai. Amazing. Crab Wontons. Okay. Chicken Satay. Meh. Other Menu Items. Worth a shot. Tiny Thai would rank very high in term of Thai restaurants in my book. Is is the best? Nope but I would not hesitate to dine there if the craving for Thai food hits. Tis all. Eat well friends.

Went here for the $ 6.95 lunch special. Ordered the Tom Kha(coconut soup) and Panang Curry with Chicken. The portions are good. Taste is good. Only issue I have is the amount of sodium/salt. The soup was salty, and the panang was salty and oily. Some might not notice but it seems most fast food/restaurant over salt their food. Its not necessary. And bad for our hearts. Lol and I also shared a fried vanilla(only flavor option) ice cream. Presentation was cool, it was lit on fire(see my photo). Overall I’d probably return just not too frequently cause of the saltiness.

Unauthentic Asian cuisine is a pet peeve of mine and I’ve encountered it here. The food was decent and the restaurant was clean(health grade of A). However, I could not get over a couple egregious errors. The BBQ beef salad was Chinese style stir fry beef atop lettuce. With a couple pineapples, it may have masqueraded as a thai dish. Far more offensive was the lemon slice in my pad thai.

Went here for dinner one night with a few friends. We all shared their fried calamari which was served with a chili sauce and each had pad thai. This was the first time I had calamari paired with chili sauce and I could not get enough! Not being experienced in the realm of Thai food I thought the pad thai was good and reasonably priced. Overall the restaurant is very clean, the presentation of the food was great, and the waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this place to others if in need of a bite on the UES.

Tiny Thai is a legit Thai spot on the UES especially for delivery. Given the price, portion and quality they are slightly better than Spice, which is a well marketed Thai business with 3+ spots in the City. Spices are perfect in the curry’s and spicy noodle dishes; not overwhelming or bland. It’s not the best Thai nor most authentic, but it’s legit goodness. It’s a perfect delivery joint. Try it. Enjoy. Trust me.

My boyfriend who is a big Thai fan thought his Massaman Curry was okay but that it was an Americanized peanut style sauce. I only ever eat Pad See Ew and thought it was VERY good. The décor is very modern club like. Fancy without the big bill. Happy hour drink specials are nice including many flavors of mojitos.

A few weeks ago I ran into an old roommate and asked him what he was doing on the UES(he lives on the UWS) he said he had made the journey across the park to get food from Tiny Thai, his favorite Thai place in the city… Well I had to try it! My go-to place was closed last Friday so we ordered TT. It was pretty good. They had some variety on the menu that I haven’t seen at other Thai places. I got the panang curry with beef. It was a little oily, but still very good with just the right amount of spice. My bf got a Spicy Pepper Sauce dish with chicken and beef. It was also good and just spicy enough. I still love my go-to place, but TT will def be a solid second. I plan to try other thigns on the menu soon!

Tiny Thai sure has some great décor for a Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, that means that it probably means that they’re trying to cater to the non-Thai clientele. Unlike my favorite Thai spot, Wondee Siam, this place is the opposite of a hole in the wall. There are nice mood lights, swanky décor, and soothing music to keep you going while you consume your meal. I ended up coming here with my cousin to grab some dinner, and being that I was just looking for something simple, a plate of Thai noodles seemed like it would do the trick. Tiny Thai serves up your typical Thai dishes. You won’t find anything adventurous on their menu, and I also found it interesting that they used terms such as «spicy noodle» instead of pad kee mao or pad see ew. To be honest, I only know Thai dishes by their Thai name, so reading it in English did take some processing power. Nonetheless, I made my way, and ordered up their spicy noodle. What’s nice about Tiny Thai is that, although their décor gives off a swanky image, their prices are still pretty reasonable. My noodles ran just around $ 10, which is more or less in the ballpark of what it should be priced at, and the other dishes were also within that range. The spicy noodles at Tiny Thai were decent, but there was one thing missing: the spice. When I’m ordering something spicy, I tend to expect it to be at least a little spicy. I’m not asking for some epic habanero spice, but at least something to give it that extra kick. To me, I might as well have ordered the regular noodles, because it probably wouldn’t have tasted any different. The rice stick noodles were nice and chewy, and it had a good mix of vegetables packed within. Portion-wise, it was pretty well sized. I was content after finishing my dish, but I wasn’t stuffed. Whether you see that as a good or bad thing is your personal preference. Tiny Thai will do the trick, but it doesn’t beat out the Thai restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen. I could see myself coming back here if I lived in the UES, but coming from Midtown, I just don’t see why I’d travel so far for ok Thai cuisine. Note: Their M-F lunch specials are incredibly cheap. For $ 6.95, you get an entrée, soup and 2 spring rolls. Hands down the best deal in the UES for lunch.

I’ve probably walked past this place 20 times in search of somewhere to eat. The restaurant is pretty small and I guess easy to miss. But the place was packed. The food was delicious and affordable. The portions were more than I had expected. Great presentation of the food. Someone obviously took a little extra time on it. The waitstaff was friendly. Although, it did take about 5 minutes for our waitress to first visit out table.

I wish I loved Tiny Thai! I think it is probably the best place for Thai take-out on the UES. Unfortunately, that’s not saying much. Last time I ate here, we were sat by the door which kept getting stuck open; we were freezing throughout dinner! The pad thai is good, but not memorable. take-out is usually fast, but I’ve had to wait far beyond my estimated time several times here. The best thing here is by far the spring roll appetizers, which are truly addictive — perfectly crunchy and deliciously paired with great dipping sauce.

After watching a movie we needed a warm place with decent food asap. It was snowing so we didn’t want to walk too far. Luckily, we were in the mood for thai when we came across this restaurant. I really liked the color scheme they chose, red and white. They even had red flowers on our table. I almost never eat thai so I always keep it safe with pad thai, but I wanted something different. Fried rice is tasty and also safe so I ordered the vegetable fried rice. It was delicious and I was able to eat most of it with my chop sticks. I don’t like food to be too spicy but the spicy noodles were pretty good with just a hint of spice. It was tolerable. For the appetizer the shrimp dumplings were amazing, a little too small for my taste, but I guess maybe that’s one of the reasons why this venue is called Tiny Thai. I could have made a whole meal out of the shrimp dumplings. I can’t say this place blew me away but it was good enough and I will most likely return.

I’ve never had Thai before. So this was new. Completely. When we walked in, it was quite quiet and around lunch time which many people say is a bad sign. But I like it quiet mostly. My friend is a huge fan of Tiny Thai so she was eager to take me. She suggested the dumplings and Pad Thai. Which I ordered. I took part in the lunch special which is an appetizer and entrée for about 7 dollars. Which is heaven to me! The dumplings were about the size of a ring. But SOOOYUMMY! I was so sad they were small, because they were mouth watering. My friend ordered Ginger soup, which I have to say. I almost ripped it out of her hands! It looks delicious! When my Pad Thai came, the portion looked small. But by the time I got to the middle of it. I was stuffed. It was good, as well. Though I have nothing to compare it to. I really liked how soft the noodles were. I think I’m a fan of Thai. And will be coming back soon! We ordered ice cream for dessert. Which is nothing special, but we both agreed the chocolate drizzle made a huge difference for the better. I’ll be coming back for lunch, sometime soon. Or waiter was slightly annoying. But whatever.

This is one of my solid Thai delivery places on the UES. Today, while running errands — I was looking for a quick lunch and was pleased to see«$ 6.98 Lunch Special» advertised in the window. It was great, the portions were big and it really was $ 6.98 for 1 app &1 entrée — if you stick to the basics. I got shrimp dumplings(4) and chicken pad thai(seemed to be the same size as the normal portion) — I had to bring half home. They charge extra if you want seafood or steak(just like on the regular menu) and if you want to substitute any of the choices… but there are lots of choices. Here’s the kicker — they advertise«free refills on soft drinks» so I happily ordered a diet coke and got 2 refills to quench my thirst with the teeny tiny glass. When my bill came I was disappointed to see $ 2.75 for a diet coke! I totally could have gone with good ol’ H20 for free.
