Ordered from Windsor florist for a friend’s birthday. I ordered the Country Reveries deluxe bouquet. The flowers looked nothing like the photo featured on the site — they didn’t even include the dahlia’s or the mason jar. The one plus was that they were delivered on time.

I ordered a large floral arrangement thru 800 flowers. The picture on the web site and what my girlfriend received from Sam the florist were not the same to say the least. After rectifying the issue with 800 flowers(they were very helpful) Sam the florist calls my girlfriend who has no idea there is an issue and wants to know what the problem is. How unprofessional and rude can you be to badger a girl who just got flowers for her birthday. He should have called me but instead called someone who has no idea there is anything wrong nor does she know how much was spent or what should have been received. I would not recommend this florist to anyone. He should be ashamed of how he handled his poor workmanship.

My mother ordered me birthday flowers from here and when they showed up, they were not what she had requested over the phone and the flowers were halfway wilted already. Very disappointed.

Buyer beware. I had very high hopes after speaking with this individual on the phone to place my order. He sounded nice. I wanted to be satisfied. This business failed, however, to deliver any flowers whatsoever, let alone the ones that I ordered. He also failed to call me to tell me he was having difficulty, if any, doing so. He had well over 48 hours of his business days to complete the assigned task. The opportunity to do so has now closed due to the holiday weekend. It all remains a mystery because he has also failed to call me back, despite numerous calls from numerous phone numbers. Shockingly, the business did successfully charge my credit card, which will be in dispute and ultimately declined. As a result of his failure to fill the order, I failed to have the flowers delivered, as was my very important obligation. A simple flower order has had a lasting impact on my reputation. I hope to be able to edit this review as the situation develops. Until then, I was ripped off beyond repair.

Love Windsor Florist! The quality is fantastic and prices are what I expect for the upper east side of Manhattan. Peter was super helpful and the flowers are beautiful and were carefully and thoughtfully arranged. Thank you!

Service was simply poor — walked in after seeing Zagat reviews that were positive — asked whether they could put an arrangement together for 15 flowers and they looked at me as if it was a ridiculous request. What happened to service in this city? Making your first time customers feel like trash isn’t good business.

I came here to get some tulips to brighten up the apartment for our guests’ arrival, and they charged me over $ 16 including tax for a dozen tulips, two of which were extremely tiny and the stems were limp as soon as I took them out of their wrapping. If I hadn’t been in a rush, I would have gone to another place on 3rd Ave and gotten a dozen firm-stemmed, full-sized tulips for about half the price. Never coming here again.

I don’t understand the other reviews. The staff and owners have always been extremely helpful and attentive. The selection of flowers and plants, especially the orchards, are magnificent. As for the prices, they are not any more expensive then any other florist. Also the Windsor florist uses beautiful ad fresh flowers that last twice as long as those«corner deli» flowers. Which makes this shop wonderful! I have used many florists in my lifetime and find Windsor florist to be the best in NYC. I wouldn’t go anywhere else ever !

decent selection crazy prices, but considering it’s the upper east side, normal(i guess) the gentleman who helped us was a bit surly, as if we were doing him a favor got what i came in for, but probably could have benefitted by shopping a local bodega satisfactory experience

Luis helped me arrange my bouquet of flowers, he was helpful to arrange whatever my little heart desires. He wasn’t too suggestive on what flower combinations I should use like my regular florist but he was happy to help me pull my selected flowers in hand to let me see if I like the combination. Good attitude and I didn’t feel rushed. I find prices for flowers to be expensive everywhere so my bouquet at $ 75 + tax was no surprise or anything out of the ordinary. See my pic. Pretty!

Beautiful bunches of flowers greet the passer-by of this corner florist/flower shop in the heart of the historic Upper East Side. It’s the prices however which leave many running for cover. The two employees are friendly and eager to help; the owners/managers aren’t quite as accommodating to the average customer. Windsor seems to have a special appreciation for the neighbors who’ll pay $ 100 or more for a simple arrangement. Maybe that’s okay, but a little less gruffness to the customer you may not recognize right away can go a long way. A simple arrangement holding one sunflower and some greenery, about 8-inches square in diameter was $ 85!!! I appreciate flowers and the work florists do, I worked for my sister’s florists during college breaks and realize the work which goes in. I can also appreciate that this area is likely the most exclusive, expensive neighborhood in the city; but at what point do prices turn from being expensive to being an outright gouge? Windsor Florist seems to answer that question. Beautiful flowers, but so are the bunches of flora you’ll find at any area bodega. Shop around before paying a royal price and this flower palace.
