I don’t think I’d ever step into a Vitamin Shoppe, but I did and I had a great experience.
Dude was extremely polite and informative. I was pretty damn impressed. I felt like asking him why would he even be working there if he knew his ish so well…
Anyway, It was cool and they have lots to choose from.

This location is always johnny-​on-​the-​spot with whatever random vitamin concoction I need. Specifically, they keep my brand of vegetarian multivitamin pills fully stocked (yep, there’s such a thing).
The staff is helpful and friendly here; never felt imposed upon or annoyed like some other NYC locations.
They are my vita pushermen/​women :)

Staff was quite friendly, but there are waaaay to many freaking questions at checkout. «Did you find everything you need»? «Do you want to join our exclusive club»? «Do you want to make a donation to charity»? A normally instantaneous transaction now takes an eternity for no good reason. What corporate executive thinks this is a good idea?
